Difference between a song and a cypher is that a cypher is normally rounds of many different characters. A song normally includes just one character, or in the case that is a bunch of characters, is all mixed together, not by rounds
No the only difference is that a cypher has no chorus. For example the phantom troupe rap by nlj is not a cypher even though there are several rappers and characters since there’s a chorus, and that’s why it’s not titled a cypher

There many ways you can define a cypher
In the case of NerdCore as they rap about characters in anime
A cypher would be a rap consisting of 4 or more rapper with no hook/chorus and each of them rap about a different character but all of the characters in a cypher should have somthing in common
Like being in a group like Akatsuki or all of the characters being the protagonist, the antagonist , the protagonist's rival etc
Hook- A catchy rap verse played multiple times (two or more) in a single rap
Chorus- A catchy musical/singing verse played multiple times(two or more) in a single rap/song.
Another definition of a Rap cypher/Cipher that is not NerdCore is If your freestyling, you rap in a cypher (one after the other). Interrupting another man will break that cypher (unless he's next in line and the dude behind him is falling off). The same concept applies to burning; there is a set order to who hits next (pass it to the left my friends).
