ABOUT WANDERING BIRD
In 2018, I quit my job as an air traffic controller to travel in a van. That's adulting, right?
Since then, I've spent most of my time living in a motorhome, touring the UK and Europe and sharing the adventures (and mistakes!) I've had along the way.
Wandering Bird was created to help motorhomers and campervanners make the most of their time on the road.
We share weekly tips, tricks and reviews to encourage and inspire your next adventure, whether you're a complete motorhoming beginner, or a more experienced owner looking for new ideas or places to visit.

Thanks for the Great tips and advice Kat 👍🙂
Thanks Kat. Great video on advice and tips for Norway. Thanks for sharing. Much appreciated xxx😃👍
Thank you for your information Kat it helps big time 😊
Best to apply in advance for a tag as it can take quite a while to arrive by post. You have to pay a 200 NOK refundable deposit for the ferries. Some ferries are private so you have to pay on board.
This was a good video overall, just a tiny correction regarding where to buy alcohol. You can buy wine, beer and drinks like Breezers etc in groceries/supermarkeds as well. They will contain up to 5,5% alcohol. For everything stronger than this, you would need to go to a Vinmonopolet store. Best regards from Norway
Thanks for clarifying. Shows how little I drink 🤣
You should also be aware that from October/November it is mandatory in Norway for all vehicles to be fitted with winter tires.
The alcohol limit for driving is zero and I mean absolutely no alcohol in Norway. Do not drink anything and drive.
Thanks Kat, we are looking to do a Norway trip and the wild camping options look great. But what do people do about grey and black waste when not staying in campsites? I heard that many service stations have facilities. Is this correct? Thanks
Brilliant! Great info. I hear LPG isn't easy to get up north, like Lapland, etc. Any strategy on that? Probably my connection, but couldn't get the link to the cabins to work.
Thanks for this, good timing as going this year. Have the tag for French autoroutes so I'll get the Norwegian one 👍.. are laundries generally card operated?
Fab video thanks Kat, did you take your dog?
Hi Kat i was in Europe in October i think i ordered a Norway guide it was 14 pounds not received anything yet can’t remember if it was going to be a download lol
Hey. Send me an email and I’ll help you. 🙃
