Philipinos feed water hyacinth to pigs, ducks, chickens, geese, and turkeys. You could pre process it feeding it to your livestock.

This is/ would be blessing for urban Indian water bodies. The natural ponds feel up hyacinth and other plants which noone cares to clean up. Copious amounts of money is then allocated to clean up the same. If its discovered that this is compost, people would actually begin to sell it( the compost)

Due to extreme pollution in rivers here, water hyacinth accumulates very high concentrations of toxins, so they cannot be composted but used for bioremediation insteas

    • @originalwolf8297

That would take a long time, fresh hyazinths are poisonous for most mamals. You need at least two dozen generations of buffalo with selective breeding and a lot of dead buffalos until some of them would be immune to the poison.

@@leociresi4292 I first proposed using hyacinth as a biofuel to DOE in the early 2000’s, was sure Obama would include in the renewable fuel standard around 2010, but he did nothing, then trump killed it all, except for corn. There’s a pilot program using switchgrass’s here, but the yield from hyacinths would be 10X, and you don’t need to use farm land to do it. There so much we could do, but alas, that would mean filling Washington with educated people who aren’t beholden to Koch, Bushes, and d Rockefellers…. Hope somebody in Central and South America will pick up the slack… it could pay well with a little help!!!

Hi, I'm Ari from Indonesia. I read many journals claiming the power of water hyacinth in absorbing heavy Metal such as Pb. I wonder if the fertilizer made from this water hyacinth still contain the heavy metals, or it is transformed into non toxic compound? I am thinking of using water hyacinth in water treatment and monetizing the water hyacinth as manure. Wish someone can help me to answer.

@M. Karbaschi - Livestocks don't eat hycinth and weeds. Cattle fall sick if you force feed (say by mixing with other grass/grain etc). If animals were eating such weeds, human don't have to worry about their spread.

In fact many animals love it and prefer it over other feeds. Although some dont eat it much like horses. Goats in particular love it.
If you dont know something try to remain quiet about it.

Weening feed? Is it good for that , to get the calf off the tit, and how long does it take to get out of the milk if there is bad taste in chickens and or beef? Does it keep the wild herds from being prey also? Or only the penned ones? And or is there a taste difference at all, and outer pens with that feed keep the wilds off?
I have a ton of questions if anyone noticed?

Crassipes is the name of a Roman called P. Furia Crassipes, 83/84 bc. Crassipes was his nickname meaning deformed foot. There was a garden named after him along the Appian Way. I collect a silver denaris coin that he had minted for his political recognition. He was a mid level political servant who claimed his power via his uncle who won a battle against the Gauls some 50 years before Crassipes was born. His family was Tuscan elites .
