Also I would definitely call any business that anyone may be employed at if that’s the kind of work I’m looking for…that’s what a business owner would do in order to get more business. It’s something that you may not understand because you have your work/loads given to you. The hustle is different when you have to literally go and find the work. Bruh having tilted, paid off truck ain't no difference from truck with payment when a paid truck breaks down it's same as new truck with payment some times worst being owner got it's good and bad believe me I done both the hustle is different with the market being low and fuel has high as it is it's tough out here for owner operators period

I can pretend that I have a truck note or lease payment and save $1,000 every week so when my paid for truck breaks down I should have enough money to get it repaired. If I decide that I want to take a vacation for 2 or 3 weeks I won’t be in the negative either. It’s hard as hell for everyone right now but it is absolutely some comfort with not having a note. My partner got really sick and couldn’t run for 4 or 5 weeks. He lost his non-paid for truck. His old one that was sitting in the yard saved his ass because it’s paid off. He’s back running and keeping more profit now. But different strokes for different folks!

You're absolutely right about the trucks not lasting anymore. It was unheard of to junk a truck with 700,000 miles before emissions equipment. Now that's par for the course. The automatic transmissions in particular are engineered for fuel efficiency, not longevity or durability
Unless you love living in a truck and having every minute tracked, you need to make a 5 to 7 year exit plan. Buying a truck is likely to keep you trapped.
