I admire your feedback, and you're the only person I actually interact with on TH-cam,😲😂 and with that I respect you only cause we met" churr bro👊🏼 all y'all peeps on here" I MET THA BRO!! KIA ORA !
Hey, Twan, I really enjoyed your take on Our beautiful country so far. I hope the rest of your trip is awesome. Make sur to come and visit us in Wellington. Catch our vibe ♥
FYI- “the warehouse” owns Noel leemings. They purchased Noel leemings so the warehouse would have access to electronics. You have seperate stores, who sell the same product so the prices come down. There can be price wars which is better for the customers. As opposed to one store who owns everything then they can charge us what they like. Round abouts are faster than traffic lights. Good to see you back for summer.
Lol roundabouts are safer than traffic lights becuase you have to slow down at a roundabout, but with lights people speed up to make sure they don't have to wait. More accidents at lights then roundabouts. You can't walk about uncovered in NZ takes 15minutes on average to get sunburnt
Roundabouts vs Traffic Lights Slowing-Merge vs Stopping-Queue Continual Movement/Progress vs Wait Your Turn/Read a book/Stress Out Keep Traffic Flowing vs Unclogging/Drip Feeding Arterial Routes I'm gonna go with Roundabouts
Chur big T. Glad ur back in NZ bro. Hope u have a good trip and catchup with some of the whanau while you're here. Holla out if you come near the Nua T. 1 hour from Wellington and 25 mins from Palmerston North. Chur chur bro. ❤❤
videos like this make us realise we should be a little more grateful! maybe we have it too good.... we get stuck on there being more to do and see overseas which is fair, but day to day life isn't so bad here.
Come to Manukau Markets on Sunday brother 12 - 4pm We got some merch stores All local businesses - Respect the hustle - Keep Grinding - The Getaways - Run it up clothing - Team Hustle Clothing - Itclan merch and more Across from Haymon Park. Yo u gotta get out to the country side brother Auckland ok but most of us like to get out the city... Definitely go thru South Auckland you'll get some culture out there
Kia Ora ano nephew- am in South Wellington - have a spare room in 4 bedroom house with whānau. After you stay on Wellington coast come into town for bit. All good.
Hi Twano if you are in woolworths or what ever it's called in New Zealand rubbing alcohol may be in bright green bottle labelled Isocol rubbing alcohol with a crocodile on the bottle - from a Aussie trying to help
One immigrant said nzers don’t know what poverty really is and he’s right. Enjoy your time here, and yes Auckland is quite a good place as large cities go.
Kia Ora. Nice to have your perspective on Aotearoa. Welcome back. The population is equal to Melbourne n Ozzy at 5.3million now. I guess a million moved here post covid & in the past year believing they're safer here too, from the warmongering invested in by the EU same as US. But honestly the binary industrial influence of far right politics, is here too. So don't be deceived. Those who voted in this govt are racist and the institutional racism plays out its game here, as a social norm in powerplay by the colonial capitalist, with an arrogance knowing that money corrupts and laws can be changed by the dollars invested, always at the expence of our people and environment. Youde think we would learn what not to do by watching the global leaders at arms length. But no, our leaders are in debt to the same powee structures. Sold our soul too. The US confederate flag of ignorance flies in Auckland too it seems, but you can at least walk those streets as the separatists who like intimidation really need gated streets for that diviseness that only money can buy. Oh but no doubt they will find ways to antogonise, if they want. Just like the clean green myth sold by tourism nz,, the environment reflects the education levels, heart or cultural awareness levels and social construct, everywhere. So we are definitely proud of calling Aotearoa home, whether immigrants 5 generations here or people of this land, Maori. We are also known for our no.8 wire concept and can do attitude, so buy the ingredients or grow your own and make your own oregano oil, if you can't buy it or find a natural products shop or ask around. Easy az. Roundabouts sounds like Hamilton. I get lost more since they hosted the v8s and built a town full of roundabouts, but i only visit a few times a year, so won't complain. As for street signs, maybe screenshot your journey planner while you have wifi, as googlemaps has to reach a tower, if you go rural or to a new suburb. That is my only advice becoz i haven't seen a roadmap sold at gas stations for a while. Yes officially summer starts Dsc 1st. If yr in Tamaki Makaurau, where i grew up, yes pack for 4seasons all year. All the best to you!
We love you here, too 😂 you gotta shout out and do some street interviews. That's how you end up randomly diving for paua and going on your own hikoi of aroha ❤😂🎉
Bro- you need to get to the suburbs to find all the box stores in one place. Love your stories because I moved to the states for a while and it’s funny to hear you talk about the differences.
Been watching you since Covid bro love the streams twano 🎉you should climb Tongariro mountain bro wicked views cleanest air cleanest water ways also the biggest lake in Aotearoa lake Taupo hope you enjoy your self bro
Great observations-and you're absolutely right. Kiwis should be much more grateful for what we have. Most of those who complain about life here have never stepped outside New Zealand, so they don’t understand how tough it can be in places like the USA. I really feel for you over there. Americans, on the whole, have such an optimistic and positive outlook on life-more so than many other nationalities. But the level of corruption in the system is staggering. The average American deserves so much better from their political leaders. Funny about the roundabouts. I never even noticed :)
I was with ya until you started moaning about the warehouse. Our population is less than a small american city, We border onto the ocean, our closest neighbours are Australia, the pacific Islands & Antarctica, we have to ship or fly in, everything we can't make & not all companies are owned by one conglomerate. We don't have alot of northern hemisphere or american products, they just aren't worth the cost to get them here.
Don't know where you are getting your info from, but you are still responsible for your financial debts once released from prison in New Zealand, regardless of how long you were incarcerated for.
Yep most kiwis dress modestly. We definitely slow down in summer too - well after Christmas. Cost of living is high here wages v housing. But we do get a nice view of our country and that's priceless.
Just discovered your channel bro ,welcome to our beautiful country, great to have you here ,if you ever come to the south island be sure to check out golden Bay,your morevthan welcome to hang out on our farm
They're two different companies. The Warehouse is a NZ company and the Chemist Warehouse is an Australian company. That's why they operate separately. At November 24, summer is just around the corner, it'll warm up. Roundabouts mean you don't hit a stop sign at every intersection, we like it that way.
Nz only had 2 tv channell till 1975. And that lack has created a better society. Children played outside in the street till dark. Everyone walked down the st past your house was known to you too. Pretty much every nzer us related In One way or another. And the street signs not there annoys the hell out of me. NZrs ARE NATURAL.. Close to the earth. In touch with reality. The 2 different warehouses are owned by 2 different owners. Bargain chemist is better 😉. Travel Statehighway 2 instead of state highway 1 and see more of real nz.
The Warehouse and The Chemist Warehouse are two different companies. Have you come over on a work visa? I know you drive trucks in the US, I don't know what steps one would have to take to get the NZ truck licence from a US truck licence, but have you thought about looking into that, driving trucks in NZ. Theres a big demand for quality truck drivers in NZ.
Street you are on? - Look to the other side of the road at the intersections - think about it - the signs are there in the cities. Remember the signs are are set up for driving on the left.
Actually even if you don't go to prison, there is such a thing here called Statute barred in Aotearoa, but you have to check weather your debt is Statute barred first. That just means the debt is unrecoverable. Kia ora Twano! Nice to have you back as our Summer is kicking in. Thanks to global warming, the warm weather normally heats up from Jan to March, in Auckland anyway. Napier is currently 31°!! Lots of sunshine down there In Auckland head to Waiheke Island, Rangitoto Island, Hunua falls, waitakere ranges (kare kare falls), piha (don't swim unless you are a pro surfer!). Do a dolphin / whale boat cruise (best way to see Auckland and the water surrounding us + marine animals) Otherwise in North Island go to Raglan (learn to surf. Beautiful laid back surf town) Rotorua (visit a Maori village, redwoods tree walk at night, luging, te puia) Waitomo (glow worm caves, black water rafting) Bay of islands (hole in the rock boat cruise. Visit Waitangi) Wellington (such cool vibes. Second hand stores are awesome for vintage fits. Te papa museum - so good!) If you like wine then Napier / havelock north with all the vineyards. Hire a bike
You'll see on the map of NZ that Auckland is in the "skinny" area (land wise) and is surrounded by harbours on either side. Makes us prone to 4 seasons in one day. Is what it is. Bring your umbrella and your sunscreen and enjoy haha
Options are limited cos remember its catering for smaller population. Like our themepark is rainbows end. If we had disneyland it would be shutdown fast. We should have most things u need. Good on you, Twano. You are living! Get out and do your travel thing while you're still young. Don't forget, as a US Citizen, if you want to stay for longer, you can apply for an NZ working visa, which lasts 12 months. Sorry about the NZ shopping scene. As a small country, we just don't have the same options as the USA or even Australia. Hopefully you do find what you're after. Can you give us some walkthroughs of places like Ponsonby Central, Westfield Newmarket and Sylvia Park Mall and tell us what you think. Welcome to New Zealand :) yes we are very lucky here. Are you on holiday or working here? Ha ha re the roundabouts and yeah our street signage could be better
You forgot to mention how ghetto some of the folk think they are in NZ ...anyone would think these boys were African American straight out of the hood of Chicago 🤭 I lived in America for over 10 years and when I came home I noticed how American some kiwis became. I appreciate your point of view 💯

You right! Us here from nz need to be more grateful! But we still battling with racism here
Don't blame us Maori blame colonialism
That racism works both ways
Barely any racism here mate.. Don’t exaggerate
@vilisburgerjoint6885 how f do you no

And I agree with you where there aren't blimmen signs when you need to see what street you're on.
AND everywhere puts them somewhere different - looking at you Whakatū/Nelson!
Yes!! It pisses me off and Ive lived here most of my life! What’s that!! if I’m walking I also have to use GPS.

Yes to your roundabout comment, it flows when ppl know the roundabout rules
The reason there are separate Warehouse and Chemist Warehouse stores is to increase the number of roundabouts between them.😅
Welcome Back to New Zealand.
The weather is Getting ABIT warmer, Summer is Nearing. In 2024.
Street signs get stolen, council try to replace them, try to.
I'm from nz and get lost in Auckland all the time.

We definitely have nothing to complain about in this country.
The people who complain about New Zealand have usually never left new Zealand so....
LMAO about the roundabouts. You're right. We have nothing to complain about. We also are really glad we aren't Americans.
