@@synthmaven It wouldnt be fair. Just like how in soccer we are just now catching up if barely, it would take them equally as long to catch up to us in Football
@@Tnrcasey I didn't even mention NFL teams ! But I did see Germans and Swedes helping each other up after plays.. and even GER-UK seemed pretty fair. Soon as they get good the manners will change.
I love how there's no net for the field goal, so there's just some guy in the parking lot chasing balls for a few hours 🤣People must be crossing their fingers hoping its not their car getting hit this time. Also those German's are damn good at football in Europe.
Regardless of the results of this game, I LOVE seeing Great Britain play American football. Seems like more and more countries are starting to understand how fun of a game it is to play. :)
GBs timing routes are so late. If Germany plays them close or jams off the line of scrimmage, they could’ve really made the passing game difficult. But it’s also really hard to watch teams consistently pass into coverage. Pulling guards and tackles really makes a difference. GB has a 4-2-5 front that really looked capable. They stacked the box well though. Germany just played with more grit and had a sound game. They play like they’re not tired. Dangerous.
There already exists a code of "tackle football": it's called Rugby. The full name is "Rugby Football" and it is the immediate ancestor game of American Football. See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_American_football and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football There is nothing unique about tackling. More tackles are made in an average game of rugby than in an average game in the NFL. People have been playing forms of football involving carrying the ball (as well as kicking it) and tackling the ball carrier for many hundreds of years. The unique thing about THIS sport is that it was invented by Americans, Thus, it is called American Football.
GB's safetys are horrible. In general you cannot even closely compare this to the NFL, but I actually love to see that this sport is getting bigger here in europe. Also happy as a german that they won :)
Yo is the NFL conducting coaching clinics for coaches in Europe or summer training camps for players? If not then they're missing out big time. How awesome would it be to see some superstar players get drafted out of Europe?! And eventually Europe having its own divison(s) in the NFL?!
So Germany is a better football country than Great Britain that's interesting it makes sense because their football leagues are overall better, especially with the EFL.
GFL is probably the best domestic league in Europe so its no surprise that Germany is so good. Its going to be a hell of a game against Austria next year!!
They are playing a inferior level, like a D2 kind of league so they can prepare to the elite level. Ireland is also playing it and won Netherlands last weekend, highlights are available at Full Time Productions channel
Now I know how Brits feel when they hear American announcers at ⚽ matches. Most of the vocabulary is more or less correct, but the syllabic emphasis is about a half beat off. Frequent regression from proper sport-specific vernacular to native dialect. The accent is all wrong. Because I'm a fan of both the world game and the American game (I say "football" for both and really upon context for distinction), I refuse to criticize European 🏈 players. Obviously, they're not as sharp and crisp as Americans. They're new to the game. They generally lack high level coaching and youth development. Because the sport is foreign and new to them, it doesn't tend to attract the highest caliber of available talent. We have the same issue with ⚽, although we have made progress - respectable World Cup results, native born American players in top leagues, etc. The real deficit lies in the lower tiers. Regardless, I'm gratified to see Europeans playing 🏈. I hope they're equally glad to see ⚽ growing in quality and popularity over here.
@@sosimple3585 that isn't eentirely correect, many german players are either on ELF or GFL teams which are kinda professional, in a very raw sense though
A good high school team to be fair. They men playing are better than high schoolers but the understanding of how to play is not there yet. GB has pooooor coaching. Germany has better fitness and athletes.
You need to take into account that every highschool team from US have players that practice since their birth, while most of those national teams are made by players who first played football after 12 yo. Also they do not practice together not near as much as a school team. Its good to note that in IFAF U20 World Cup, US lost to both Japan and Austria too.
Was the same for Basketball a long time. Imagine, european football players are being 100% taking it as a job. Most of the players you see here, have a real life job to feed their families.
What’s your point? Same way America isn’t that good at soccer. Kids play and know their national sport as soon as they can walk, so it’s no surprise really.
Didn't know this existed on the other side of the pond. It's great to see this sport expand and people having fun playing it. Well done!
Wonder how either one of these teams would do against Michigan or Notre Dame.. or any number of college teams..

These are fun.
Never knew this league existed Germany has a solid football team 👍🏻👍🏻
Watching some of Germany's games, I noticed that they will run it up if they get the chance.

Thankfully someone is uploading highlights of these games, cause it’s not our British league federation that’s doing anything useful like that…

America.should have sent reinforcements to GB before the second quarter. Germany has to strong of a blitz for GB to handle.
I thought GB's plays were weak. GB just needs a better coaching staff.
Very nice. These look like two proper teams. Now my question is how old are these players?
Thanks for uploading these!
you're welcome brother
oh no germany is dominating europe again
lmao right when I read this they threw a bomb for a TD 3:08
9:15 on the left side haha. Everyone in the middle is watching for the football only these two...they are battling a fight for their own
GB defence was on holiday.
Hope they enjoyed it.
holiday in coventry, imagine
thanks for Uploading the Highlights :) great game

I think they could change the name from "American Football" to "Tackle Football", to be shortened eventually to just "Tackle."

Why would you compare it to the NFL?
This is on par with division 2 college football…. And that’s ok with me

Who's talking nfl..it's so cool Europeans are digging this game!!
GB need an offense that utilises better their RBs

Where are the field goal nets? 😂
No nets

Im glad they went with the coat of arms eagle. The swastika was tacky.
all these teams suck, but there is more fair play and hardly any intentional fouls.
