Of these stories mention] when Joseph said to his father, "O my father, indeed I have seen [in a dream] eleven stars and the sun and the moon; I saw them prostrating to me." 12:4
When they said, "Joseph and his brother are more beloved to our father than we, while we are a clan. Indeed, our father is in clear error. 12:8
So when they took him [out] and agreed to put him into the bottom of the well... But We inspired to him, "You will surely inform them [someday] about this affair of theirs while they do not perceive [your identity]." 12:15
And there came a company of travelers; then they sent their water drawer, and he let down his bucket. He said, "Good news! Here is a boy." 12:19
And they sold him for a reduced price - a few dirhams - and they were, concerning him, of those content with little.12:20
And the one from Egypt who bought him said to his wife, "Make his residence comfortable. Perhaps he will benefit us, or we will adopt him as a son." 12:21
And she, in whose house he was, sought to seduce him. She closed the doors and said, "Come, you." He said, "[I seek] the refuge of Allah . Indeed, he is my master, who has made good my residence. Indeed, wrongdoers will not succeed." And she certainly determined [to seduce] him, and he would have inclined to her had he not seen the proof of his Lord. And thus [it was] that We should avert from him evil and immorality. Indeed, he was of Our chosen servants. 12:23-24
He said, "My Lord, prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me. And if You do not avert from me their plan, I might incline toward them and [thus] be of the ignorant." 12:33
Then it appeared to them after they had seen the signs that al-'Azeez should surely imprison him for a time. 12:35
And [subsequently] the king said, "Indeed, I have seen [in a dream] seven fat cows being eaten by seven [that were] lean, and seven green spikes [of grain] and others [that were] dry. O eminent ones, explain to me my vision, if you should interpret visions." 12:43
[Joseph] said, "You will plant for seven years consecutively; and what you harvest leave in its spikes, except a little from which you will eat. Then will come after that seven difficult [years] which will consume what you saved for them, except a little from which you will store. Then will come after that a year in which the people will be given rain and in which they will press [olives and grapes]." 12:47-49
And the king said, "Bring him to me; I will appoint him exclusively for myself." And when he spoke to him, he said, "Indeed, you are today established [in position] and trusted." 12:54
And the brothers of Joseph came [seeking food], and they entered upon him; and he recognized them, but he was to them unknown. 12:58
He said, "Do you know what you did with Joseph and his brother when you were ignorant?" 12:89

“Prophet Musa Alayhis Salam Said:
O My Lord! Teach me something that I can remember You with and I can supplicate You with.
ALLAH Ta’ala Said:
Say “la Ilaha Illallah”.
Prophet Musa Alayhis Salam said:
O My Lord! All of Your slaves say this.
ALLAH Ta’ala Said:
Say “la Ilaha Illallah”.
Prophet Musa Alayhis Salam said:
I want something that particularly belongs to me.
Then ALLAH Ta’ala Said:
If the Seven Skies and the Seven Earths are put into one pan (of the scale) and “la Ilaha Illallah” is put into the other; “la Ilaha Illallah” would be heavier.”
Recite La ilaha illallah (100 times) everyday because it is heavier than the whole universe.

This is my favorite prophet story! Love it so much.
No question, returning to this story because of Palestine made me really think that Prophet Jacob has children that full of wickedness & they gave birth generation by generation with full of wickedness in their heart. I couldn't even fathom what will be Prophet Jacob's reaction on the day of Judgement seeing what his grandchildren did to Muslims in Palestine. 😢😢😢

Not really, todays "israelis" come from european countries. Dna test is illegal in "israel". Palestinians and people from that region have been traced to have the most ancienct hebrew dna, up to 80%. Check it yourself. Palestinians are the descendents of yaqoob

Salam, um I honestly don’t mean any offence or anything, but I think some questions regarding the stories of the prophets aren’t necessary. At times I think we should just appreciate what Allah told us and not just concentrate on what He didn’t tell us. Think about it: if knowing the daughters and sons name was useful He would told us Himself. I don’t mean offence, just wanted to remind u :)

According to some historians, at the time when prophet yusuf was sold the king at the time was Amenhoteph the 3rd. At the time Prophet yusuf demolished polytheism in Egypt, akenaten the next king son of amenhoteph 3rd helped him to destroy the statue of Amon and Ra. The one who sold yusuf for slavery was his own cousin malikh ibn kedar ibn ismail ibn ibrahim from median of Arabia. At the time he yusuf was sold, malikh didn't know they're cousins until he realized yusuf performed many miracles during their travel.

Mashallah what a beautiful story, however brothers and sisters, Allah (SWT) never mention that Yusuf (AS) told his father about the dream. Indeed Allah knows best.

If you guys want to know what happened in depth and even some parts that aren't in the Quran, but we know because of the stories, for example how the king became one of his closest friends or about the priests of the most powerful Egyptian god and what happened to them or about what happened to the treasurers wife and other details, the just type in Prophet Joseph and press on the one with a man at the cover of it, it's a series and it has 45 episodes.

I love stories about the prophets but the the story of Prophet Yaqub (PBUH) really bothers me. How can a father (who happens to be a Prophet) take favourites on his offsprings? The distinction of his treatment to Yusuf (PBUH) is so apparent.
Is there any part of the story that we're not told of why and how that happened?
From what I know, Prophet Ya'qub alaihissalam loves their mom more.. But he must marry her sister first... After the sister dead, he marry their mother.. That's why he loves bunyamin and yusuf more...
I'm sorry if this is wrong.. I just wrote what I learnt before...
And oh, as the video said, He(A.S) knew Yusuf(A.S) is a prophet from the dream.. That's why he is more fond toward him and he knew how jealous his other sons were..
Nabi also like us.. They have favorites also.. Even Nabi Muhammad (S.A.W) has his fav child and wives :)
I think its because Yusuf (AS) and Binyamin were both his youngest. Naturally the youngest gets the most attention. Also from the dream Yusuf (AS) saw when he was a child. Yaqub (AS) knew that this son of his was a Prophet and had enough wisdom to tell Yusuf (AS) not to narrate his dream to his brothers so as to not cause a drift between them. Let me clear up some basic errors.
1. Jacob married four wives.
2. Josef was older than Benjamin.
3. Jacob's sons were people and envy and jealousy are human characteristics. And Quran says that they were eleven but the Bible says thirteen.
4. Jacob is Israel and his nation are the Israelites.
It is not the same because the gospel of prophet isa (Jesus) has been corrupted by the Jews and Roma way back
The name "Benyamin" is not found in either the Quran nor the sunnah. They are from the tales of bani Israel. We should neither believe nor deny their tales.
