Just subbed mate. Love the Speccy, that's where my love for games truly started. A great list too, all stellar titles.
I'm looking forward to making my way through your vids.

A score of 100 would mean if literraly true that any other game that in any way varies must by definition be worse

Ace Magazine gave Crystal Castles 100% 🥴 all highly subjective

Are you into racing games? If so play Travel Through Time, unbelievable new game for the ZX Soectrum. Failing that, Target Renegade never fails 😉

No Football manager by Kevin Toms :( I spent way too much time trying to get Liverpool from division 4 to division 1.

The MSX ports for many of the UK produced games featured in this list were better than the Spectrum.

      Do you have any examples?

@@ClassicReplay I found your channel because of your MSX video! Will be checking out those games for sure. I have HX10 in storage since that is what I had during that era until I got an Amiga 500, which really changed things for me.

Many of the MSX games produced here in the UK were Spectrum ports. The MSX had a 16 colour screen mode, so the games could have been more like the c64. But seeing as the MSX was based on the Z80 taking Spectrum games was easy. If you look at cartridge games from Konami they are more vibrant, Yie Ar Kung Fu, Bubble Bobble, Metal Gear etc Also the MSX standard had a better sound processor, with some variants even having MIDI like the Yamaha models. Some developers did try to just add a few colours by simply splitting colours in the palette - look at Outrun. A few years later it was reworked for the MSX2 - th-cam.com/video/c_EpqKaQizg/w-d-xo.html - look at the difference.

@@fasih_rehman I don’t doubt it. But I think what people forget is that the humble ZX Spectrum came out in 1982, and produced technical marvels the likes of ChaseHQ, R-Type and many more. With R-Type and many more games featuring silky smooth horizontal scroll. The MSX was announced in June 1983, but took a further year for computers to arrive, even later than that in the U.K. But even with hardware for scroll, it jumped for horizontal or vertical scrolling games. That video compares Outrun, the MSX version is awful, the cornering isn’t smooth, the game runs slower, and if you include a ZX Spectrum with the AY sound chip, Outrun comes with music that sounds just as good if not better, the + version came out in 1985, which is probably the machine you should compare with, rather than a computer from 1982. The prime number example is ridiculous, it will run as fast as the basic interpreter was programmed to run, the only true test is to go and run directly to the hardware, using machine code. So that video isn’t great I’m afraid in regards to the facts, although it does make for a good watch, presented really well.
