Thank you so much for these videos. It really takes alot of patience but it's so worth it. Never force upon it doesn't end well and makes the training take even longer. So keep having alot of patience and listen to your cat. Your bond will grow stronger. If you do force It'll end up with you having a bad relationship with your cat and getting them to use the inhalor will become a daily struggle. (From my own experience)
@trudellanimalhealth what do you advise for cats that are still coughing during the training period, since presumably they can't be medicated until they are completely comfortable with the mask and chamber?
It will probably vary depending on the cat's personality and how good their relationship with their caretaker is, but I'd say a week at the bare minimum. I'm just starting a mamma cat that moved in with us when she was still pregnant. She's a bit reactive at times, so I'm training both her and her 5 month old kit on the mask, since the kit is fairly confident and extremely used to being handled. I'm expecting it to take at least a couple weeks; she does tolerate the mask being near enough her face to get at least some treatment in the meantime though. Granted, this is my first experience with an asthmatic cat.
Hi @richardwebb3013 - thank you for reaching out! The two masks are designed for different-sized cats. The mask that fits your cat's face the best should be used for the medication, while the mask that doesn't fit as well can be used as the training mask. This way, you can ensure your cat receives the most effective treatment. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

Great video - thank you. What time frame are we looking at here? A week? Days? Thanks!

Our cat is taking hormonal pills when she's not yet on the inhaler and simultaneously with the inhaler (in lower doses) while getting used to using it
About how long does it take for the entire training process?

Which is the training mask. The large or small mask?
