I like this alot. Awesome base template that you could easily expand upon and experiment with! I make bows and shoot as often as possible, this will help so much while stump shooting
Just came across this video and wow! Thank you for saving me money. Eventually I'll purchase a quiver but for now this will help me get out to the woods. God bless!
I was thinking one of those cheap plastic canteens, just cut in half. Fit some foam into it and there is your broadhead protector. Of course the other end would be the flip flop.
Really nice, I been goin for a lightweight sort of style and I really wanted to do it myself for the cheapness and that I have a lot of junk that can be repurposed into stuff and I needed a new quiver.
So do i man. Diy is the way too go. Everything is so expensive these days and i want to try multiple hobbies. Diy is the only way i can afford to do it
@@prairiemountainmanadventur7424 To that's why I'm trying to build my own Bows it costs me about $35 in material rather than spending a hundred or three, or more. Same thing with strings ... Can make my own for a couple of bucks, and never had one fail. It just costs me my time.
@@joedaniels4646 yeah i make my own bows as well. Ive even started gathering wood to make from staves. I picked up some cheap bow string on amazon and make my own flemish twist string
I like the way that you did this I made something something similar but mine only holds 4 arrows and it is still life weight for my survival now but I would prefer to carry 6 arrows instead,so I guess I will make another set that are larger I also used camo gorilla tape on mine because they were really bright in color( neon green, yellow, and orange ) the only thing I could find at the time. Lol. So I will look for a pair of camo or black ones so that they will blend in better. I like them in style because they are very quite and don't add to much weight and force a sever cant to your bow while shooting plus for hunt and stalk they are easy to applie and use. Keep up the good work and good luck in the woods.
My big game rig I have a selway slide on but I have a lightweight selfbow that I might make one of these to throw on it just for small game great video!
Brilliant. Outstanding! I’m a leather worker and I’m building a hip holster like Chuck Adams used to use…and that flip flop is just the ticket for the arrow brackets! 👍😀
@@prairiemountainmanadventur7424 ...and you gave 'me' an idea I would like to share please...it would be I think completely feasible to add the broadhead protector via a couple of short arrow shafts (one cut in half should do it) attached to the sides of the same flip-flop material, minding space for the thumb of course, that holds the arrows! Thanks again for the great idea especially for growing a "seed" in my mind..lol..Cheers!!

I agree some people shouldn't. But hunters have done it for decades with no issues as long as you are aware and careful. Ive ran this 2 season walked lots of miles and never put the broad heads close to me. I also have no need for 5 broad heads. I only carry 2 the rest are small game heads. You can easily add a hood if concerned. Thanks for watching.
Carrying broadheads without a head cover is no good. For field points and small game points, it’s fine, but those broadheads been to be protected so they stay sharp.
🤔... maybe recycled HDPE with a bike inner tube for the clamp and glue gun the arrow grooves to allow the arrows to " clip " into them securely...could work 🤷🏻♂️🙂
That wouldn't be safe with broadheads. You don't want to end your trip with stitches or worse, dead. Plus I can only see this catching a bunch of brush and possibly losing an arrow. You're not spending much money or time getting some leather and stitching together a hood to safely store broadheads.
You do realize hunters used an open quiver design for decades right. I've used this 2 full seasons now. Walked over 50km through thick bush with no real issues. My bow itself catches more then the arrows. It's not for everyone i get that but for me it's all I need
@@prairiemountainmanadventur7424 I know but just be careful. I've heard horror stories of people that almost died from tripping and severing an artery while having an arrow nocked. Those fixed blades are scary sharp and I've had my fair share of stitches from the tiniest mistake when handling them.
Clever, practical and won’t cost me the same amount I paid for the bow!! Thanks bro! Vibration proof,no rattling…absolutely effective!
Yeah its simple and works great!
Definitely a better design than Dave's. Excellent work.
