We hope you enjoyed this tour of the best things to do in Bucerias! Please share in the comments if you have other Bucerias recommendations 😊 And don't forget to check out 100% waterproof shoes from *Vessi* : crrnt.app/VESSI/pjlz_AwJ (we are OBSESSED)
Thank you for sharing this video. I'll be moving there part-time in a few years and things like this make me feel connected to that warm, peaceful, and colorful town. Keep up the amazing work!
Never heard about Bucerias! Seems to have such chill vibes. And those shoes look awesome! We have a pair of waterproof nikes but they are really sturdy and get super hot (humidity doesn’t enter and doesn’t leave too 😅), got excited to try these ones! They seem to be super soft. As always, great video, really enjoy the editing, storytelling and pacing of it. We’ve been loving the Mexico series, seeing all those places through your eyes is great! You guys really inspire us ❤ Safe travels!
Glad I discovered your channel. Love your videos. Noticed Eric has a backpack with a tripod. It would be great if you could create a video about packing and traveling with camera gear.
Thanks for the suggestion! Glad to have you here :) we’d love to make a video about that. But for now, the backpack we use is the LowePro 350 AW II. Holds all our camera gear and one laptop! Very durable and we’re glad we bought it.
Neat video of Bucerias,, Mexico. It has a beautiful beach for relaxation and boogey boarding. I like the B & B where you stayed. It is a great place to unwind!
We have stayed 9 times at Villa del Palmar just at the end of that path. In fact, we just got married there last December. We always walk to Bucerias and have breakfast or dinner. Great town with friendly people.
No dumb questions here! There are places that accept USD but they usually charge a bad exchange and you will need pesos for any more local mom and pop shops. So we definitely recommend exchanging some money and using USD as an “emergency” fund :)
Love your videos! Random question here but Sarah…What brand are your eyeglasses? Do they have a style number on the inside too? Thanks for all the great content!
The inside of my glasses read " Opinion black/blue/crystal 51018-140". Not sure if that will be of any help to you though... I bought them at a small store in Canada a number of years ago and keep just upgrading my lenses because I love the frames so much! haha. Good luck :)
Great video! We just spent 6 weeks not too far from you in Bucerias and we wish we could have met up and bought you guys some beer. We are traveling to a lot of places you have been in the next year and could swap stories. Last year was mostly Southern Europe and Southeast Asia but this next year is going to be Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia and Ecuador.
Eric and Sarah, Thanks you for your video. Great information. We do have two questions, 1. What do y’all use for transportation from the airport and around the area? 2. Where do y’all exchange your currency?
Great questions! Either cross the highway from the airport to catch a bus, or take one of the taxis from the airport. Bus is considerably cheaper. As far as currency goes, it would be a good idea to get a no foreign transaction credit card. Most places take card. Otherwise you can exchange at banks or take money out from ATMs.
I am hoping to find an affordable rental home there in Bahia de Banderas soon...how do I find someone there to walk me through viewing these places? 2 realtors did not agree - even with a fee 🤔 Help!! Love your videos!
It's officially NO Nuevo Vallarta anymore, it's called Nuevo Nayarit. There is One all inclusive resort in Bucerias and it's called the Grand Decameron and has been in Bucerias for many years.
Unskippable ads are chosen by TH-cam. As for the in-video sponsor, we only work with companies/products that we actually use and can honestly recommend. When you watch a show on tv, you get a lot more ads than this. And that money only goes to massive corporations.
@@EricandSarah How come so many other channels have ads one can skip? That sounds disingenuous. And I didn't compare your channel to TV, I compared it to other YT channels, obviously
Google will put non-skippable ads or skippable ads based on how many they've shown you over your latest "session" on TH-cam. It's not up to the creator anymore. Even when we place ads, it's not guaranteed that Google will play the ads in those places - it's all up to the current session and how many ads they've shown you. But sponsors pay us directly to mention them for x amount of time and talk about their product within the first 5 or 6 minutes or so. Google can show random ads for local companies that *might* apply to travellers, but we only work with sponsors who align with what we are doing and/or using for travel. We choose to utilize both because travel isn't free and we're producing weekly informative videos that tv shows and documentaries could never (based on budget alone). @@trentblume5998
Hello Saludos everything is good in your video upset that you mention that you can take the price down even half I don’t think you’re supposed to be doing that because people get the wrong idea why are you saying this Mexican people work for free tourist is not all year around what I would really say is take in consideration of how much you wanna pay for them in value people’s work look at your video about what you said you think again if you minimize the work they do
Bucerias was a great small town been going there for 30 years. Condos had killed that town. Tell the truth at night the streets smell like shit. Big rain pours all the trash and shit in the ocean so how can you say it’s clean. Shame on you
Bargain is bad for people who are struggling to make a living in an honest way, specially if you are a tourist from abroad, paying full price is a good way to contribute to the local economy 👍
Normally we would agree and we’re all for supporting locals… but this market in particular is known to have higher prices than normal because they expect tourists to bargain to a fair price. So if you don’t bargain, it drives up the prices for everyone (including locals)
@@EricandSarah I defer, people with businesses in small communities most likely know each other and won’t charge more to locals since they are probably friends or family, they only do it to tourists and it’s good and fair when tourists support and pay whatever they ask for, even if you think they are waiting your counter offer, it’s nice to pay that extra money. Plus, you say you bargain because you care about price increments for the locals and yet you are saying in this video that Bucerias Real State might be a good place to invest, if foreigners with stronger currencies buy, that would definitely drive up the cost of living. Lastly to Mexicans who are reading this, we need to demand our government for heftier visa and residency prices and a higher property tax (predial) particularly for foreigners that own vacation properties. Gentrification is something we are seeing more often, it already happened in Sayulita, San Pancho, Playa del Carmen, Cancún, San Miguel de Allende, Ajijic, La Condesa in CDMX to name a few, countries with weaker currencies like ours need to have modifications in our law to protect our people.
It’s too late, the cat is already out of the bag. Even 15 years ago it was still a quaint Fishing Village. Now it feels more like a high rise jungle. 😭 The authenticity left when developers started knocking down all the local homes and shops to build there ocean blocking high rises. One developer even was so bold as to build beyond the 8 storey limit near the beach. 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

Spectacularly well done video. This is the one I will probably share with my friends about my favorite place!😊😊😊
Thank you! We love to hear that 😄 Hope you do share it around!

High five 👋 from Yucatan. Méxicos awarded best area for overall quality of life 🏖️
Awesome video of our favorite town
Love Bucerias Going for 3 weeks in Jan to Feb 2024. My sis in law stays from Nov til April she loves it so much.
So exciting! Hope you enjoy it 😄

We’re sad the waves weren’t quite good enough for boogie boarding that day… would’ve been a funny thing to film 😂
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching :)

Hi guys, nice to know, I have never hear of that town..
Cómo no??? Es parte fundamental de la Riviera Nayarit.
Glad we could introduce it to you… it’s a beautiful town!
Great video. Kind of a dumb question do they use USD or do I have to exchange money ?heading down there next month .

I have friends in Bucerias. Check out Lo di Marcos down the coast too. Also a great beach. I am in Ajijic, if you make it this way, hit me up!
Thanks for the recommendations 😄
I’m currently in Mexico, and going to bucerias in a few days but just in the coast now and it’s so humid! Humidity is crazy!
Oh yeah it’s super humid on the coast there. We felt it immediately when we came into the area. I think some times of the year are worse than others!

Thank you for your feedback. We heard Uber was also an option; would you recommend it?
@@carlosbarrios9717 definitely! We used Uber whenever we had a specific place to get to and it worked great :)
Great video but a correction, there's no Nuevo Vallarta officially any more for a couple of years, it's official name is now Nuevo Nayarit.
I hope your Guadalajara sunglasses were polarized, we live, we hope to learn
They are polarized at least 😉
omg you guy are a place i call home
Your home is beautiful!

Nayarit ❤️
Beautiful place!

we spent 4 weeks in Buserias during covid
There are a loooot of best beaches. You must see Careyes, in Jalisco. T O P .
Thanks for the recommendation! 😄
Interesting ❤
Big waves and you can’t swim in west cost Mexico usually. Go east of Mexico . Calm beaches
Hi, what's the hôtel name please? Sorry my english is bad. (Nom de votre hôtel svp?) Thank you 🎉
It's linked in the description! Villa Escapar del Frio :)
OMG...that little guy is precious....don't let kids come up to me in Mexico...I'll be broke. 8:28
Two unskippable ads, then an in-video ad for shoes? You aren't the only ones with a video on this city.

Stop telling people about Buccerias! You're ruining it for those of us that want to keep it a secret.

All about $ for you people. Shut up
Not even 1 minute in and already hit with ads. 🥲
