do you know if it is going to get a physical release? Or localized for North America? Tired of all the digital only games. Love collecting physical media.
@@GamerofOld Yes! There is a physical of Steam Prison - Beyond the Steam - available for preorder, but only through sites like play asia or CD Japan (etc.) because it is technically the Japanese version but it comes with multiple language options, one of which is English. As far as a NA release of the physical I have a feeling that won't happen because it didn't with Steam Prison. But again Steam Prison had a Japanese physical release that came with multi language support.
During Steam's summer sale, I bought both Hakuoki games, and the DLC, on my Steam Deck. I loved Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds, and I'm enjoying the sequel right now, Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms. While the first one doesn't have the MC constantly with her LI, the sequel is shorter and has you directly entwined in the LI's route from the very beginning - and there's actually a kiss scene at the end. I love the found family aspects, emotional intimacy, character design, and voice performances of both. Sound mixing and text speed in the first one could be improved - one character in particular was difficult to hear - which I'm sure they did in the remaster. Content Note: lots of blood and death in both; bloodlust; some body horror. I like the mix of historical and fantasy elements. I actually didn't know it was very loosely based on real events and people until halfway through, when I looked up a flag name online. As a reader and writer of fan fiction, I'm really impressed by the scope, depth, and organization of Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds. But I also used the force skip option to get through all 12 routes faster. I also like that it's an immersive reading experience with dialogue choices and not other game mechanics or mini games. That's what I want from Otome and visual novels in general. When I want gameplay, I'll play an action RPG like Dragon Age, or a cozy game like Stardew Valley. It's cool that the upcoming, remastered Switch release includes both Hakuoki games. For fans of these games who want them remastered on the Switch, I'd say the $45 USD pre-order of the remastered combo might be worth it. But I'll probably wait until after release to decide if I want it on both platforms.
I'm so excited for hanakare I got the LE from cdjapan can't wait to get my hands on it. I'm also excited for steam prison can't wait to romance sachsen lol.
I just preordered the digital version of HanaKare! The limited edition looked so good though, I'm jealous. I bought the first Steam Prison ages ago and it's still on my backlog. lol
Hi there. From the looks of the game description it says the game includes “main stories from the app up until season 4” and it lists the following as characters: Hydra, Cerberus, Chimera, Medusa, Hades and Alex Cyprin.
I’m confused about the Hakuoki game. Did they combine both Kyoto Winds and Edo Blossom into one game? Because I only played Kyoto Winds when it was on the Vita. Never played Edo Blossom because it was too short.
UPDATE: Steam Prison Beyond the Steam is actually set to release on November 27th. Apologies for the misinformation.

I am also most excited for Save the Vilainess, too bad it is only in 2027 😭😭
We will be waiting for a while
@@beatrizreis7289 i know! But hopefully the long wait just means it’s going to be even better.
