so to explain what happened at the start. that headband sun wukong has was given to him by a monk in the journey to the west. it tightens when a specific sutra is said. basically a way to control sun wukong.
I think that since goku knows about the Buddha ((mentioned a few times in franchise)) Was a forth wall break, meaning he knows about wukong too. I also think the fact frieza needed this to validate himself even though it's not a secret goku was an alien who turned into a great ape and had a monkey tail is a little weird but whatever. 🤷♂️
Wait till Goku finds out he would get absolutely destroyed by Wukong if he were to fight him at his strongest. He couldn't beat Wukong even if he had Broly, Vegeta, Hit, Black Frieza, and Jiren helping him.

This game looks so good and i want to play it but i will probably save the money for Sparking Zero because it is probably the better option for a dragonball fan
youre playing as another monkey of wukong's species, not as him. at the start the old monkey said "there is a destined monkey that will collect all of his relics and bring them to mountain huago" and there was a bunch of other monkeys gathered around and you the player stepped up to find his relics, so now youre on a journey to collect all of them and revive the real wukong!
