This video only presents stats across the first year (actually 366 days due to leap year) of vehicles being unavailable. It doesn't include the stats for today's weekly update, therefore I'll present some of them here for posterity. - The Akuma was finally made available for the second time, 329 days after its previous time. - The Akuma, Comet, and Seminole Frontier all became available for the second time since being removed, the GT500 for the third time, and the Cheetah, Comet SR, Michelli GT, and Torero for the fourth time each. - 3 vehicles have still been available five times since they were removed, with 15 four times, 37 three times, 40 twice, 27 once, and still 4 zero times. - Whichever of the 4 zero availability vehicles is made available last will destroy the total time unavailable record (currently still held by the Surano) and will likely keep that record forever since it will be longer than the likely year-long unavailability period between subsequent Independece Days of the Liberator & Sovereign. - Apart from the 4 zero availability vehicles and the Liberator & Sovereign, the next longest active streak is the Cognoscenti 55 which has been available one time 65 days after being removed and not since (previously this longest streak was the Akuma as mentioned in the video). Correction: Thanks to saturn580 for pointing out that the Baller LE Armored was available in early January. This had been mistakenly attributed to the regular Baller LE by the original source I used to track this at the time. Therefore there are only 3 vehicles that haven't been available since removed (Schafter LWB Armored, Daemon, and Faggio Sport) I'll continue to keep the new sheet on broughy.com/gta5vehicleinfo up to date each week so you can see how things progress from this point on. Perhaps I'll do a follow up video this time next year to see if anything has changed.
To be somewhat fair on R*, the Comet, Surano & Seminole Frontier are all quite common client cars at the Auto Shop to be purchased. I would rather have them feature something else in the 8 show spots that aren't on the list of client cars. This also goes for the customer bikes at the Clubhouse.

In my opinion it’s not a reliable acquisition method, or reasonable replacement for simply being able to buy the cars outright like before.
Depends on how urgent each player want the cars & how much they value the property itself as a whole. Sure it can't replace being able to be bought from sites immediately, but atleast there's the chance & option to get it sooner than waiting for R* to cycle it through the 8 show spots. And I personally highly recommend the Auto Shop as one of the first properties to purchase in the game.
What shocks me is that you can still find the Buffalo on the Arena Wars site, it spawns in traffic and you can get the Pisswasser version for free (which can be upgraded).
Before the removal, the Benny’s website had all of the cars stacked in rows 3 wide, and now that the Comet is removed, there’s one “slot” where a car should be. It triggers me so much because there’s several rows of three cars and then at the bottom there is one row of two cars because they took out the Comet
Rockstar could do one of two funny yet incredibly stupid things at the end of gta online's life: 1. They just revert the removal of all of those cars as if nothing happened (or under the guise of "final dlc" content) 2. They completely forget to revert it, essentially locking out 160+ cars forever
I know they need to get rid of that option and just make it to wear you can only get 100-200k for one if you want to sell it and make it where you can sell a "hot" vehicle every 1-2 weeks
Yeah, and also the restriction that prevents you from stealing certain high-end cars and storing them in your garage(s). A game called grand theft auto restricting what types of cars you are able to steal and keep is absurd.
Rockstar turning into such scumbags over the years has been so disheartening. Broughy is 100% right about what's going to come with gta 6. It's going to be so much worse...but the community doesn't care. They just accept whatever BS Rockstar dumps on them.

Quite the opposite. If you’re a veteran, which I am, and a collector, which I am, this move made all of those cars rare and gave me a reason to check the dealerships every week and collect the rarities.
@@hughtravis i had managed to collect a ton of cars just before the "Great Rockstar Car Wipe"...due to having a lot of in-game money and not having anything to spend it on. So I was just collecting and customizing cars but before Rockstar added additional garages like the Eclipse Garage or the new Vinewood Car Club Garage etc, deciding which cars to keep and which to part with was frustrating.
@@hughtravis the same however can be said with the motorcycles and aircrafts...unfortunately I wasn't able to collect more motorcycles before many where removed because I wanted garage spots specifically for cars but I was asking for more storage space in the MC clubhouse and amongst players asking for more hangar space. Having to choose what can be saved in your hangar because of the limits placed by Rockstar.
About six months ago I decided to collect all the vehicles that can be modified which also pop up in transform races. I was missing about five and all of them had been wiped. It's kind of been fun waiting to see if they appear in Auto Shop or weekly updates.
A minor correction, the Baller LE (Armored) was available to buy at Simeon's from January 4th-10th, 2024. Thanks for painstakingly compiling this data that confirms what we all felt in our guts. Removing these cars was BS and Rockstar should be ashamed.
This was the thing that finally killed the game for me. Thousands of hours logged, put up with so much bs (including starting from scratch), but this was the thing that made the game not worth playing anymore. It’s just sad seeing the state of this company.
@@Jesse-vc2xo No, they didn’t remove the cars in my garages, but I liked playing the game with the intention of building collections of cars and sorting them in different garages. This update (along with keeping some content console exclusive) made that basically impossible. Even if you arn’t playing the game for the cars, you can’t deny that there was no reason for this change.
@@edv7n I play for the cars and I’ve been able to get most cars back via Simeon or friends at lscm or reddit etc. it’s made it kinda fun to “look” for certain cars and it’s super rewarding when you grab it

Mfs play an online game solo than whine when rockstar makes activities in an online game multi-player. Also this is more realistic, and everyone complains about the lack of realism.
the new layout for legendary motorsport and SSASA is absolutely vile. its damn near impossible to find anything and there's only half the cars there used to be.
This change had the most impact on how often I play gta online... Over the last year i have spent less and less time playing. I used to play every week, right now it has been more than a month since I bother to log-in...
@TheRealRedAce I wouldn't say the same cars all the time, but some spawn more often than others. I get the SC1 a lot as well. The Riata and the Hermes I've only had spawn a handful of times.

This killed the whole game for me. I played to get cars for my garage and it was nice because I could just get whatever I felt like getting at the moment, but now you feel incredibly pressured to get the limited cars and that sucks the fun out of it for me. At least it pushed me into playing Gran Turismo instead I guess lol
I was wondering if you had been keeping track of all this nonsense. Thank you for working a full year to gather the data, so we could really see how it has all played out. It would've been nice to see a discussion on prices. Some of the re-introduced vehicles definitely had a price increase, though it wasn't astronomical.
None of the removed vehicles came back at higher prices. It's always been the same as what they used to be on the sites (or less if they incorporate the discounts on those that week too)
GTA 6, you have to buy shares in Rockstar Games to get exclusive access to the blista compact. Comet SR, I believe, is just one kidney. Not too bad. You don't want to know what you have to do to get an infernus.
Naive me thinking they removed the cars because they were working on a new website store so we don't have to scroll for 5 minutes to find a car. What a damn shame this whole thing is. It got to the point that I just wish they would jack all the car prices and re-add them to the store.
Really great video! No one else is doing content like this. Ive been playing pretty much everyday for the past 6-7+yrs. I have alot of cars & i only go for prize/podium nowadays since i customized pretty much every car i own except for a few. I got almost $60M so i dont have to be cheap. But yeah a filter by brand would of been a much better option.
Hot take: if I was playing gta online as a normal player and not a racer, i would like the idea of having to find some vehicles in dealships instead of just buying it off my virtual phone and it appearing in my garage. Plus being able to buy them from other players encourages social interaction. But the way r* implemented it in this game, taking out just the cheap cars so you have to fork over more money you spent time grinding for or bought with real money is terrible.
I keep an excel sheet of all my vehicles, it was a pain to label all the ones that were removed but as I've run out of space ages ago it was needed so that I don't mess up my themed garages too much and get rid of things I can no longer replace when we get more space.
They're definitely experimenting with pushing the game more in a gacha direction, new thing shows up, then you have like three weeks to get it or you have to wait for a rerun in maybe five months or a year. Not liking what they're doing with the limited time liveries either, paying a million for a car you already have just to get the livery, which doesn't even unlock permanently, it's only on that specific car and you lose it if you change to a different livery. GTA 6 will be crazy with this stuff
Impressive analysis, my head was swimming. Rockstar broke the game with the Oppressor Mk. II, and i think they know this. Churchill said “why stand when you can sit?” Well, why drive when you can fly in a straight line? I do RP a little, i drive when it’s raining. But it’s like a novelty anymore. Plus, i hate that there’s no way to track whether you already purchased a car, so you don’t buy it twice.
What bothers me the most is that the removed cars only get roulated by adding them to Simeon's showroom and the carmeet. Would be better if they get replaced by the same models, but with more modification options like the Sentinel, Futo, Schwartzer and the Picador for example. These are actually badass now.
Thats why i collect everything i can get, first for my crew, but later also for everyone who ask. There are only a few cars left, that i have to buy to get every removed car😁👍
I think it was a dumb move by Rockstar to remove any vehicles at all but I can tell they did it one, to utilize the two showrooms added in the Criminal Enterprises DLC and two, to give people the same FOMO aspect they introduced in the Drug Wars DLC which was coincidentally the DLC right before they removed these vehicles. Even if they were to never bring the cars back, they should have at least allowed players some other simple way to get these vehicles but of course, they will never do that or say there is a way already which isn't as simple as they think like you said.
I remember buying up to three or four of classics like the Hustler and the Roosevelt/Roosevelt Valor, or more obscure cars like the Rat-Loader (absolutely goated car, that one), because I knew that I was unlikely to see them in the dealerships again for a very long time. Now that the LSCM car trading mechanic is available on PC, I don't really get that panic anymore. It's still such an unnecessary hassle though. I also wish there wasn't a cap on how many garages/properties I can own. I'm rapidly running out of garage space, and I've got all the 10 car garages and other garage upgrades I can buy. The rest of the high end apartments are taunting me with their unavailability
After this whole thing started, i made one of my larger garages dedicated to base game and early update sports/classics and supercars, and tbh, buying a sports car for 100-350k feels really nice. And the vehicles are fairly basic, but they look so nice and still feel great to drive around. Only missing the Vapid Bullet lol. It really sucks that they did this, as it wouldve been essier to just buy from websites rather than waiting and hoping for a new spawn at the showroom or car meet each week, but on the bright side, it gave me something to do lol
Returning car was momentarily displayed on screen when I said it (Squaddie). Special spawns are Lifeguard, Blazer Lifeguard, Mesa (Merryweather), Romero Hearse, and Tailgater. Dubsta 2 is also a special spawn but was never available to purchase in the first place.
On a more serious note, this is a stellar and foreboding analysis of the shenanigans we can expect baked in (love that term) from the beginning of GTA VI. Sod them, honestly. I still haven't spent a penny on GTA V and have everything in the game, whereas when a funny dance or skin makes me laugh on Fortnite, I shamelessly splash out because the game is cared for and regularly updated with engaging and humorous content. Rockstar are only just now trying to sort out the Creator - ten years on! - and it 'still' leaves a lot to be desired with our wishlists unchecked. Never mind the in-game management of cars and classes referenced in this video. Sod 'em.
Oh wow. I was actually on the lookout for Baller LE armored and Schafter LWB armored, so that I could get them for free as CEO vehicles. I didn't know they haven't been available since getting removed 😅 I know it's just 5k but it's mainly for roleplay
I remember trying to win races to buy cars on early GTA online. Back when the first really expensive ones came out. I calculated, that I had to do 400+ races with a win ratio of 20% to afford the T20. was so demotivating that i quit, and haven't played since

I really wish they would return the Tuners vehicles back to the way they were when they first released. Since the nerfs, they're nothing more that $3+ million, low tier cars. They can't even power slide through corners without slowing to a near complete stop. It effectively killed off the community that formed around these races; nobody wants to blow that much money on a car that sucks.
I dunno, I feel ambivalent about this change they made finding some cars a bit of a quest and there is a social aspect to it and there is a serendipity aspect to it now. You can also access some of these cars (and bikes) from the autoshop/biker clubhouse rotation making it worthwhile to tour places in search of what's in stock. When we have 100's of cars the hunt is really better than the catch anyways. I see value in this change but I understand if people who haven't played the game as long and accrued their collection to the point they've run out of things to do view it differently. For me chasing down and discover some rare car is a form of gameplay, If it was available off the site at any time I prob wouldn't even care to get one.
I think the biggest deal is making things rare it’s fun to have to wait and look. But man the Ls car meet is nasty business them upgrade cars are all way overpriced. Especially when you don’t make shit selling them. You spend 4mill on a hsw car just for it to be worth 1 mill
Even though I personally have not really missed any of the removed vehicles, I still think it's horseshit to remove them in the first place. Maybe it's harder to "reorganize" the ingame websites (certainly harder than an actual website I guess), but it would've been the right thing to do. Unfortunately it seems that R* really has their site set on going down the road from one of the most beloved developers, to becoming one of the most hated. And yet... Most people (including me) who played/are playing GTA5 will buy GTA6 as well!
As a pc player, mod menus solve this issue. You almost need a mod menu just to protect yourself while playing in public lobbies. I dont grief cus i hate people who do it. Its lame
I was already getting bored of the game anyway but after CROCKstar pulled this nonsense I retired from GTA Online once my PS Plus subscription expired a few weeks after this. And I'm 99% certain GTA 6 will be exponentially worse when it comes to the cars and everything else. Can't entirely blame them though, far too many people will go along with it come hell and high water.
The thing that's annoyed me the most about this is how they waste dealership slots on cars that weren't made unavailable every week. Those should only be for removed vehicles.
Seeing this makes me honestly hope when GTA 6 inevitably has an equally shitty online that it absolutely fucking bombs. I hope that when they more than likely make gta 6 online just as shit as 5 online, that players will see that, see that they need to start from square one, and just decide not to play. I do not want rockstar to be able to succeed pulling this kinda shit and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they sell online seperately from 6 like they have done with the last copy pasting of GTA 5 and GTAO.

Thank you for going against the tide and making realistic predictions for how GTA6 Online is likely to be. I can't say I'm looking forward to it much, realism set in a couple of years ago. Instead of looking forward to being able to play it fresh & unseen from the start (I was a late joiner to GTAO) I'm glad PC will be released later, so I can see if it's acually worth buying (at what will surely be an eyewatering price).
To be fair, as of now, even the car club (GTA+) doesn't do the removed cars justice in returning. It's just been bad for regular players and subscribers alike it seems. I don't justify GTA+ walls but I don't think it's going to ruin anything car wise. Seems to be random cosmetics, a little extra money and week early access to new releases.
Idk why people are even excited for GTA6 Online, the story will most probably be amazing but the Online mode will just take all the bad stuff from this game that rockstar have learnt in recent years, it’s gonna be an awful experience

They really shouldn't have removed any of the vehicles that appear in traffic. Those, at least, should have been retained. Because a new player might not know about the existence of, say, the Torero, so not getting one of their own shouldn't be too annoying as they don't know what they're missing. But they're going to know, say, the Feltzer because they're often driving it, and being told to buy it online when they can't is terrible.
that intro scene showing the scale of loss had me realising a number of these are favourites i still pull out of the garage for racing or simply roaming around in something cool i was especially surprised to see the Blade on there, since i've casually been taking it in any pub Muscle Car race not realising nobody else even had the option - feel kinda bad for anyone who hasn't got it
The bad thing is, most old cars still feel good. Race worthy, nice looking, and of course INEXPENSIVE. Within the Car Club you almost never get any old releases now but rather just newer cars or boring ass weaponized bikes and cars. Even if they had the Car Club cycled only removed cars it would need to rotate weekly, not monthly to even make the appeal of GTA+ worth trying at all. Hell, even that rotates some of the same vehicles in a different slot. It's all trash, but I have no doubt they just pile code on top of code so making the dream browsing experience for cars rather than removing them is not happening.
Well yeah they never increased the top speed. It's insane having a somewhat racing arcade game with a top speed of what 140ish? And taking out legacy cars like the Infernus that every GTA 4 player was thrilled came over is wild
The problem to me still is how dense Rockstar was about it. The decision was made to 'streamline the website experience'. But that more means the website is flawed rather than the amount of cars being a problem. More up to date filters (class based or, get this, a search bar) would have fixed that problem. This is a classic gaming company move. You stop selling something, put it back on sale at some point and people will rush to spend their hard earned money on it because who knows when it'll be available again. It's textbook scum class game development. And annoyingly, if they would have been upfront about that, I wouldn't even have minded it all too much. But they kept up the facade about it 'streamlining' the website. The ability to purchase cars from other players is a godsend in this instance. Even though it does create a stream of modded vehicles into the market (personally I only used it to get an Asterope GZ with the suspension lowered as you can't do that using LSC). Only annoyance is that truly rare vehicles are banned from sale, such as the Lost Slamvan.
its interesting because speaking to friends about this we have decided that this FOMO strategy hasnt worked, and not only has it not worked, its had the exact opposite effect. Even though the game is old and the endgame is a nothingness mess, we would always have that occasional urge to come back and just mess around in game (usually drive around in whatever cars) and that would always keep us going, but since they made these changes, I found myself immediately being stomped out because whatever vehicle I wanted to get just wasnt there. Picture that from R*s end, you make a change to encourage people to log on and spend money, but it somehow does the opposite, stopping people from getting the random urge to play and spending their money on the wierd cars they dont own already. Im not sure how they use that info other then trying to revert the damage done in 5 while still trying to save face while quietly not including it in gta 6. They tried to use FOMO with things like the annis 300R only being availible at launch for a limited time, that didnt work. They try this, it doesnt work. what will they try next? where will the slippery slope take us?

Crazy to think its been an entire YEAR since rockstar removed all of these vehicles. 366 days ago we were all mislead into a scam full of FOMO which has affected how I and many others play this game. The state of this game and rockstar is embarrassing to say the least...
This petty and un creative way to pad event weeks and monetise on old content was something the R* from the GTAIV years would gag in disgust. Rockstar Games as we knew it at the time GTAV launched ceased to exist years ago. GTAVI will let us know how R*-T2 operate for the first time, and it looks grim.
With things like this, I have a feeling GTA 6 online experience is gonna have substantial crap. They'll probably ruin the grounded/"realistic" art direction as well with sci-fi and cringey additions as they did with 5.
The fans still play GTAO anyway. They'll also buy GTA6 when it comes out and keep playing the online in that. Rockstar knows this. They know they have their fans by the balls. The only way to deal with that is just not play their games. Go play something else. So long as you keep participating in their ecosystem, they will keep being rewarded for their shady crap. Rockstar's fans don't have the spine and self control to do that. So things are are going to keep being the same.

They could alleviate some of the annoyance of the availability of these removed cars if they would just do away with the "too hot" mechanic for street vehicles; if it's on the street, it should be stealable & storable; bar none, no exceptions. The name of the bloody game is Grand Theft Auto, it should live up to it. Vehicles being too hot to store was a sensible enough mechanic back in 2013 when the game first came out, but now it's just outdated & stupid.

Rockstar hates car collectors
If they had given us more spaces in time, when we asked. We could've already had many of these cars before Rockstar wiped them off the websites.
Quite the opposite. If you’re a veteran, which I am, and a collector, which I am, this move made all of those cars rare and gave me a reason to check the dealerships every week and collect the rarities.
@@hughtravis i had managed to collect a ton of cars just before the "Great Rockstar Car Wipe"...due to having a lot of in-game money and not having anything to spend it on. So I was just collecting and customizing cars but before Rockstar added additional garages like the Eclipse Garage or the new Vinewood Car Club Garage etc, deciding which cars to keep and which to part with was frustrating.
@@hughtravis the same however can be said with the motorcycles and aircrafts...unfortunately I wasn't able to collect more motorcycles before many where removed because I wanted garage spots specifically for cars but I was asking for more storage space in the MC clubhouse and amongst players asking for more hangar space. Having to choose what can be saved in your hangar because of the limits placed by Rockstar.
About six months ago I decided to collect all the vehicles that can be modified which also pop up in transform races. I was missing about five and all of them had been wiped. It's kind of been fun waiting to see if they appear in Auto Shop or weekly updates.
A minor correction, the Baller LE (Armored) was available to buy at Simeon's from January 4th-10th, 2024. Thanks for painstakingly compiling this data that confirms what we all felt in our guts. Removing these cars was BS and Rockstar should be ashamed.

This was the thing that finally killed the game for me. Thousands of hours logged, put up with so much bs (including starting from scratch), but this was the thing that made the game not worth playing anymore. It’s just sad seeing the state of this company.

This update (along with keeping some content console exclusive) made that basically impossible. Even if you arn’t playing the game for the cars, you can’t deny that there was no reason for this change.
@@edv7n I play for the cars and I’ve been able to get most cars back via Simeon or friends at lscm or reddit etc. it’s made it kinda fun to “look” for certain cars and it’s super rewarding when you grab it

Mfs play an online game solo than whine when rockstar makes activities in an online game multi-player. Also this is more realistic, and everyone complains about the lack of realism.
The feature of selling your car on the car meet is available on PC now, apparently. I was not aware of that.

@TheRealRedAce I wouldn't say the same cars all the time, but some spawn more often than others. I get the SC1 a lot as well. The Riata and the Hermes I've only had spawn a handful of times.

I haven’t considered the auto shop due to the cost involved in even getting that set up and the rng involved in getting the car you want. In my opinion it’s not a reliable acquisition method, or reasonable replacement for simply being able to buy the cars outright like before.

This killed the whole game for me. I played to get cars for my garage and it was nice because I could just get whatever I felt like getting at the moment, but now you feel incredibly pressured to get the limited cars and that sucks the fun out of it for me. At least it pushed me into playing Gran Turismo instead I guess lol
I was wondering if you had been keeping track of all this nonsense. Thank you for working a full year to gather the data, so we could really see how it has all played out. It would've been nice to see a discussion on prices. Some of the re-introduced vehicles definitely had a price increase, though it wasn't astronomical.
None of the removed vehicles came back at higher prices. It's always been the same as what they used to be on the sites (or less if they incorporate the discounts on those that week too)

Really great video! No one else is doing content like this. Ive been playing pretty much everyday for the past 6-7+yrs. I have alot of cars & i only go for prize/podium nowadays since i customized pretty much every car i own except for a few. I got almost $60M so i dont have to be cheap. But yeah a filter by brand would of been a much better option.

Hot take: if I was playing gta online as a normal player and not a racer, i would like the idea of having to find some vehicles in dealships instead of just buying it off my virtual phone and it appearing in my garage. Plus being able to buy them from other players encourages social interaction.
But the way r* implemented it in this game, taking out just the cheap cars so you have to fork over more money you spent time grinding for or bought with real money is terrible.
I keep an excel sheet of all my vehicles, it was a pain to label all the ones that were removed but as I've run out of space ages ago it was needed so that I don't mess up my themed garages too much and get rid of things I can no longer replace when we get more space.
I have to applaud @broughy for the amount of work he does for this. 👏👏👏 Rockstar should have never removed all those vehicles.
the faggio sport is available this week... but more than a year. The 'Auto Shop' with customer vehicles helps at times

They're definitely experimenting with pushing the game more in a gacha direction, new thing shows up, then you have like three weeks to get it or you have to wait for a rerun in maybe five months or a year. Not liking what they're doing with the limited time liveries either, paying a million for a car you already have just to get the livery, which doesn't even unlock permanently, it's only on that specific car and you lose it if you change to a different livery. GTA 6 will be crazy with this stuff

Impressive analysis, my head was swimming. Rockstar broke the game with the Oppressor Mk. II, and i think they know this. Churchill said “why stand when you can sit?” Well, why drive when you can fly in a straight line? I do RP a little, i drive when it’s raining. But it’s like a novelty anymore. Plus, i hate that there’s no way to track whether you already purchased a car, so you don’t buy it twice.
What bothers me the most is that the removed cars only get roulated by adding them to Simeon's showroom and the carmeet. Would be better if they get replaced by the same models, but with more modification options like the Sentinel, Futo, Schwartzer and the Picador for example. These are actually badass now.
Thats why i collect everything i can get, first for my crew, but later also for everyone who ask. There are only a few cars left, that i have to buy to get every removed car😁👍
I think it was a dumb move by Rockstar to remove any vehicles at all but I can tell they did it one, to utilize the two showrooms added in the Criminal Enterprises DLC and two, to give people the same FOMO aspect they introduced in the Drug Wars DLC which was coincidentally the DLC right before they removed these vehicles. Even if they were to never bring the cars back, they should have at least allowed players some other simple way to get these vehicles but of course, they will never do that or say there is a way already which isn't as simple as they think like you said.
I remember buying up to three or four of classics like the Hustler and the Roosevelt/Roosevelt Valor, or more obscure cars like the Rat-Loader (absolutely goated car, that one), because I knew that I was unlikely to see them in the dealerships again for a very long time. Now that the LSCM car trading mechanic is available on PC, I don't really get that panic anymore. It's still such an unnecessary hassle though.
I also wish there wasn't a cap on how many garages/properties I can own. I'm rapidly running out of garage space, and I've got all the 10 car garages and other garage upgrades I can buy. The rest of the high end apartments are taunting me with their unavailability

After this whole thing started, i made one of my larger garages dedicated to base game and early update sports/classics and supercars, and tbh, buying a sports car for 100-350k feels really nice. And the vehicles are fairly basic, but they look so nice and still feel great to drive around. Only missing the Vapid Bullet lol. It really sucks that they did this, as it wouldve been essier to just buy from websites rather than waiting and hoping for a new spawn at the showroom or car meet each week, but on the bright side, it gave me something to do lol
What are the five special spawns and the car that returned permanently?
Returning car was momentarily displayed on screen when I said it (Squaddie). Special spawns are Lifeguard, Blazer Lifeguard, Mesa (Merryweather), Romero Hearse, and Tailgater. Dubsta 2 is also a special spawn but was never available to purchase in the first place.

On a more serious note, this is a stellar and foreboding analysis of the shenanigans we can expect baked in (love that term) from the beginning of GTA VI. Sod them, honestly. I still haven't spent a penny on GTA V and have everything in the game, whereas when a funny dance or skin makes me laugh on Fortnite, I shamelessly splash out because the game is cared for and regularly updated with engaging and humorous content. Rockstar are only just now trying to sort out the Creator - ten years on! - and it 'still' leaves a lot to be desired with our wishlists unchecked. Never mind the in-game management of cars and classes referenced in this video. Sod 'em.

I really wish they would return the Tuners vehicles back to the way they were when they first released. Since the nerfs, they're nothing more that $3+ million, low tier cars. They can't even power slide through corners without slowing to a near complete stop. It effectively killed off the community that formed around these races; nobody wants to blow that much money on a car that sucks.
I dunno, I feel ambivalent about this change they made finding some cars a bit of a quest and there is a social aspect to it and there is a serendipity aspect to it now. You can also access some of these cars (and bikes) from the autoshop/biker clubhouse rotation making it worthwhile to tour places in search of what's in stock. When we have 100's of cars the hunt is really better than the catch anyways.
I see value in this change but I understand if people who haven't played the game as long and accrued their collection to the point they've run out of things to do view it differently.
For me chasing down and discover some rare car is a form of gameplay, If it was available off the site at any time I prob wouldn't even care to get one.

Even though I personally have not really missed any of the removed vehicles, I still think it's horseshit to remove them in the first place. Maybe it's harder to "reorganize" the ingame websites (certainly harder than an actual website I guess), but it would've been the right thing to do. Unfortunately it seems that R* really has their site set on going down the road from one of the most beloved developers, to becoming one of the most hated.
And yet... Most people (including me) who played/are playing GTA5 will buy GTA6 as well!

As a pc player, mod menus solve this issue. You almost need a mod menu just to protect yourself while playing in public lobbies. I dont grief cus i hate people who do it. Its lame

I was already getting bored of the game anyway but after CROCKstar pulled this nonsense I retired from GTA Online once my PS Plus subscription expired a few weeks after this. And I'm 99% certain GTA 6 will be exponentially worse when it comes to the cars and everything else. Can't entirely blame them though, far too many people will go along with it come hell and high water.

The thing that's annoyed me the most about this is how they waste dealership slots on cars that weren't made unavailable every week. Those should only be for removed vehicles.

Thank you for going against the tide and making realistic predictions for how GTA6 Online is likely to be. I can't say I'm looking forward to it much, realism set in a couple of years ago. Instead of looking forward to being able to play it fresh & unseen from the start (I was a late joiner to GTAO) I'm glad PC will be released later, so I can see if it's acually worth buying (at what will surely be an eyewatering price).

To be fair, as of now, even the car club (GTA+) doesn't do the removed cars justice in returning. It's just been bad for regular players and subscribers alike it seems.
I don't justify GTA+ walls but I don't think it's going to ruin anything car wise. Seems to be random cosmetics, a little extra money and week early access to new releases.
Idk why people are even excited for GTA6 Online, the story will most probably be amazing but the Online mode will just take all the bad stuff from this game that rockstar have learnt in recent years, it’s gonna be an awful experience

They really shouldn't have removed any of the vehicles that appear in traffic. Those, at least, should have been retained. Because a new player might not know about the existence of, say, the Torero, so not getting one of their own shouldn't be too annoying as they don't know what they're missing. But they're going to know, say, the Feltzer because they're often driving it, and being told to buy it online when they can't is terrible.

Funnily enough, it's about a year since I stopped playing, what a coincidence!
The bad thing is, most old cars still feel good. Race worthy, nice looking, and of course INEXPENSIVE. Within the Car Club you almost never get any old releases now but rather just newer cars or boring ass weaponized bikes and cars.
Even if they had the Car Club cycled only removed cars it would need to rotate weekly, not monthly to even make the appeal of GTA+ worth trying at all. Hell, even that rotates some of the same vehicles in a different slot.
It's all trash, but I have no doubt they just pile code on top of code so making the dream browsing experience for cars rather than removing them is not happening.

The problem to me still is how dense Rockstar was about it. The decision was made to 'streamline the website experience'. But that more means the website is flawed rather than the amount of cars being a problem. More up to date filters (class based or, get this, a search bar) would have fixed that problem.
This is a classic gaming company move. You stop selling something, put it back on sale at some point and people will rush to spend their hard earned money on it because who knows when it'll be available again. It's textbook scum class game development. And annoyingly, if they would have been upfront about that, I wouldn't even have minded it all too much. But they kept up the facade about it 'streamlining' the website.
The ability to purchase cars from other players is a godsend in this instance. Even though it does create a stream of modded vehicles into the market (personally I only used it to get an Asterope GZ with the suspension lowered as you can't do that using LSC). Only annoyance is that truly rare vehicles are banned from sale, such as the Lost Slamvan.
Basically, RS lied through their teeth about their "reasons".
Heck, give the "manufacturers" their own sites

its interesting because speaking to friends about this we have decided that this FOMO strategy hasnt worked, and not only has it not worked, its had the exact opposite effect.
Even though the game is old and the endgame is a nothingness mess, we would always have that occasional urge to come back and just mess around in game (usually drive around in whatever cars) and that would always keep us going, but since they made these changes, I found myself immediately being stomped out because whatever vehicle I wanted to get just wasnt there.
Picture that from R*s end, you make a change to encourage people to log on and spend money, but it somehow does the opposite, stopping people from getting the random urge to play and spending their money on the wierd cars they dont own already. Im not sure how they use that info other then trying to revert the damage done in 5 while still trying to save face while quietly not including it in gta 6. They tried to use FOMO with things like the annis 300R only being availible at launch for a limited time, that didnt work. They try this, it doesnt work. what will they try next? where will the slippery slope take us?

The fans still play GTAO anyway. They'll also buy GTA6 when it comes out and keep playing the online in that. Rockstar knows this. They know they have their fans by the balls. They could alleviate some of the annoyance of the availability of these removed cars if they would just do away with the "too hot" mechanic for street vehicles; if it's on the street, it should be stealable & storable; bar none, no exceptions. The name of the bloody game is Grand Theft Auto, it should live up to it. Vehicles being too hot to store was a sensible enough mechanic back in 2013 when the game first came out, but now it's just outdated & stupid.
