Soledad kasi is Our Lady of Solitude's (and company) journey home after burying the body of Christ. Hence the threading of the same route. Pabalik nga lang. I got to spend holyweek once in my dad's hometown, Iriga City. And their version of Soledad is eerily quiet. No Musico and the people participating in the procession walks barefoot. Malas pa namin dumaan sa wet Market. Hahahahha.
noong bata pa ako natatakot ako sa santo entierro kasi bumubukas ang mga mata nya kasi panahon pa daw yun ng mga kastila nandyan na sa simbahan ginagamit tuwing mahal na araw.

The eerily quiet makes me think just the sounds of walking and generators sa mga karo and The barefoot part interests me the most!
This is a actually true. My grandfather from Iriga would tell me stories of their soledad procession with people walking barefoot.
