As a 49 year old man, I just love that Rob has a spinner rack in his office. Little things like that remind you of your roots every time you walk past it or see it. Mad respect to the legend.
Very fun to hear from Rob. His enthusiasm is unmatched. There is a collected Megaton Archive going to be coming out soon reprinting Megaton 1-8. Might be a good opportunity to talk to Gary Carlson to talk about the old self publishing black and white days.
Beachball comics was my first regular store that I shopped at. The rumor back then was that it was a front for drug sales. I NEVER saw anything improper other than empty pizza boxes sitting on top of the back issue bins and the cat. After a few months shopping there I moved on to other stores like Comic Castle and Adventureland Comics. What a fun time comics were back then!
What a great interview. Rob is awesome. I love how enthusiastic and expressive he is. He actually looks like the characters he draws. I can totally see him making faces in a mirror when drawing.
Wow. Watching all these old vids. This one is just super entertaining. Rob is a beast, he remembers everything like it was yesterday. Such a shame the three of you will never have the opportunity to do this again. RIP Ed x
They are making movies/series about stuff like Tetris and etc, it would be amazing having a scripted series or film based on this time period about these guys I lived through this period but to know what was going on in the back it's like hearing all the shoot interviews about the Monday Night Wars
Great interview! No knock on Rob , but as a kid , I always noticed the imperfections in the artwork but I loved it because it showed me that I didn't have to be perfect when drawing. I loved all his stuff and never understood why people , most probably never drew a picture in their lives, knocked him so much. Awesome show!
Robs art was so ahead of it's time. During that time he inspired lots of L.A graffiti artist. The colors. The pencils. The inks All the Image founding Father's were so Revolutionary
this is so sick. love it. do you think you'll review onslaught reborn? i really think thats rob's masterpiece (along with GI Joe) some of the most incredible illustrations ive seen and the most epic events in comics in my opinion.
Rob mentioned in one of these interviews that no one wanted Al Milgrom inking their work. I remember seeing his name a lot. Was he that bad? I remember Alex Ross saying something about a guy who drew tiny figures that everyone hated but he loved. I assumed he was talking about Al Milgrom.
Sales, money, popularity, money, money,money...seems to be the only thing on Robs mind as he brags constantly about himself.....a very unbecomming trait
Let’s get Rob back to walk through X-Force #1
Rob should be on once a week I love listening to him
Hell yeah. Kayfabe in effect yo!!
Damn, I love these Liefeld videos, keep'em coming!
I'll watch Rob and you guys chat it up all day.

I love Rob. Those early X-Force comics are so special to me.

Dawg Rob's impression of Todd is fucking hysterical and ridiculously spot on. Also man I love Rob's constant enthusiasm
My heart sank the way they treated those comics😭

Your interviews with Rob are always SO FUN!
you guys and rob are real cozy. i could listen to this go all the way up to youngblood 1
There should be a whole Channel of YOU TWO interviewing Rob about his life. It is SO entertaining AND educational!

Amazing!!! Thank you guys for great content! Robs always riot 😂
We need a Robservation about the Comic Book Greats!
Great Interview fellas✊️💪
What I love about Rob is that he's unapologetic on whatever he says 🔥🔥🐈🔥
Love these so much! Liefeld’s so fun
still remember finding my NM 100 on the rack at the local grocery store…my mind was obliterated
Rob Liefeld is the coolest guy in comics. In '90-'91 I'm 15/16yo copying all that Liefeld New Mutants/X-Force art. Love it!
38:53 Rob relaying the story of the guy selling original art is exactly me selling my copy of 98 as Deadpool 1 (film) dropped
It's the double page spreads that have the line weights drop out. I heard that the films were shot from photocopies, not original art.
Ya'll should review deadpool badder blood
I'd love to see Rob and Mike Mignola talk about their X-Force collab.
Man that Todd McFarlane impression is amazing!
Rob, come to Lisbon in Portugal.
Love his Todd impression 😂
