I think it's fair to say that in the last 10 or so years, out of all the pool of players in that time, he was arguably the third best player. Others will point to Lewandowski, Neymar, Kroos and Modric, which is understandable, but Suarez had so many special qualities and the numbers to back it all up. Having the greatest playmaker setting you up almost every game certainly helps but his world class ability is evident for all to see.

You put him above Romario? I think he’s below Romario. I would recommend the two videos on Romario by the channel “Futbol Nacional” .
      Pele (or Messi) top.
Then R9, Romario and Van Basten together.
Then Muller and Suarez I think.
      CR7 somewhere there too.

The most dangerous version of Luis Suarez I've seen was when he was in Liverpool 2011-2014. He would score so many incredible goals , Tear the defence up coz he could Dribble and was Quicker in that time. His time in Barcelona was Not far off either. His Quantity of Goals , assists & Aerial Finishing increased but there was a Loss of Dribbling, speed and Agility.

    Hey Corey
As someone who has been a longtime watcher of Suarez I still remember he was a Liverpool player even though I’m a United fan through and through he was exceptional my dad who is a hardcore scouser through and through said Suarez could’ve stayed for another two to three years but makes sense why he left etc I watched him while he was at Ajax all the way to his Barcelona and Atletico Madrid days and imo one of the best strikers to stay neck and neck with Messi and Ronaldo to get top scorer not only the Premier League but also the Eredivisie( Dutch league ) and La Liga but also get the golden boot in all three of those leagues. His Barcelona, Liverpool and Ajax days in my opinion were his absolute best especially when he was part of MSN and even when Neymar left too Suarez and Messi were an unstoppable duo you can even see that duo’s chemistry in the MLS and yeah his gremio and now his inter Miami days you can even see how great his form is even now. Will always be an El Pistolero fan through and through will always have a soft spot for Suarez wish he played for United though instead of Liverpool

So the story of Suarez is that he was playing for Liverpool in the Premier League and he knew he was the best player in his team, and potentially the best player in the entire Premier League during that time.
But then in 2014 he moved to Barcelona and he quickly realized he no longer was the best player in the team. Messi was. So Suarez used his talent and experience in order to take a step to the side and try to helo Messi as much as possible.
Neymar was in the team at that time as well, so it was what they called the MSN, and the trio won every single trophy in 2015. After that, there was a lot of relaxation around the team since they no longer had much motivation since they already won everything, and got beaten by hungrier teams during those years.

Suarez was one of the best strikers in his prime, but he might be the best. Personally, I didn't like him because of his dirty playstyle, but his skills can't be disputed. As for Messi, they fit very well in a team, Messi was a universal player, playmaker and goalscorer at the same time, Suarez was good at finishing attacks. Messi was unique, but he also didn't know one thing, that of passing the ball to himself. Messi and Suarez have been very good friends since then, and they still play together in Miami. Suarez accepted that he couldn't be bigger than Messi, those who didn't accept this, left Barcelona, like, for example, Ibrahimovic or Neymar. Others left because they couldn't develop in Messi's shadow, such as Coutinho or Antoinne Griezmann, for example.
