      55 inches is just not happening. Do you know how damn hard it is (almost entirely impossible) to increase your vertical by EVEN AN INCH after reaching a 40 inch vertical, let alone the 50.5 inch vertical that Rivera has

    Dude, slow down in the first pull and then make full use of the triple extension in the second pull and try to keep the bar close to your body.

    The lower back will always be the limiting factor when it comes to squatting and deadlifting and I’ve heard of people going way down on the weight and not maxing out at all on them and working specifically on targeting their lower back with good mornings, rdls, and doing ssb squats with sub maximal weight focusing on quads and PR’ing their squat or deadlift by a good amount. Alex leonidas did this don’t remember the exact number but he put on a good amount on his good mornings by micro loading over the course of months and his max squat and deadlift went up by a LOT

    I actually tried Belt squat for the first time and seemed manageable to get 405 for 5 reps full depth. I have too many issues with arthritis to train jumping or plyometrics but just for health, seems like the belt squat is excellent for avoiding back pain. Will try 455 next time, guessing the mechanism itself weighs 45lbs which I really have no idea.

    What’s crazy is Isaiah does this in Jordan 10s 😂 but curious if you’d lift more using your Romaleos or any lifting shoe as well as lifting on a hard surface like a platform. You would think the turf you’re on and Jordan soles having some give that it’s taking some energy transfer away. Try it out next PR attempt session and see if it makes a difference. Could be 325-30?!

    Hmm. Don't confuse strength with weigths! True strength is about force from the MTU and not the lifting numbers! You also may use strength in relation to your BW! I know you know that already bout most people watching this don't!
    The PC benefits mostly because of high concentric poweroutputs in a key joint angles (position) but not because of eccentric strength demands. Maybethe PC has positive effects on the endocrine system by raising anabolic hormones.

    • @Leonidas-eu9bb
      @Leonidas-eu9bb 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@IamPapas im not sure. In a properly executed clean you catch the bar at the highest point. So there is hardly a downward momentum. Maybe one inch but that's nothing in comparison to loaded depth jump/drop! I think we miss a clean because of not pulling high enough and/or having a bad front rack position (rounded upper back. No shoulder shelf). The clean is caped by someone's front squat strength. But there are very rare situations where athletes can powerclean more than they could front squat.

    • @JohnEvans
      @JohnEvans 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Leonidas-eu9bb Generally, but because we don't do full cleans my guys almost always lower too fast and let it crash- which I am actually okay with lol. Especially as weights go up and they are right at paralel- generally oly guys just go to a full at that point. Ever try NOT full cleaning when it gets to peak power clean weights? It's a bit awkward because of the high eccentric forces
