Another good lesson Dr Woods! I for one appreciate you and your teaching. I have learned more in the three years from you than in a lifetime of other churches.

Reading Peter and Paul's sermons in Acts sure makes it sound like they thought people could choose Christ. Acts 28:23 "...From morning till evening he expounded to them, testifying to the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus both from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets."

If this is what Calvinism teaches, and it does, then it is another gospel and is accursed and false and should be avoided as a heresy.

I Corinthians 2:14-16 is what sprung to mind at this time stamp 54:07. It seems to me that Augustine and Calvin fit into 1 Corinthians 2:14-16, as there appears no Holy Spirit involvement in the interpretation of these scriptures. Augustine sought to interpret the Holy Scriptures with the same allorgorical method as Greek Philosophy. By merging both, error was applied, thus giving a incorrect exegesis to the Canon of Scripture which Calvin continued on with.

Is this Neo Calvinism apart of the falling away in 2 Thess 2:3?

Nowhere in the Bible says that unbelievers are a Dead Bodies, being dead isn't equal to a dead body. My grandmother is dead, but she is conscious and can think and do a lot of things that we don't even know about in Heaven. The unbelievers in Hell are dead, but they are still conscious and can think, they aren't a dead body, they aren't like a rock. The Rich Man in hell certainly believed something, he just believed too late.

Adam and Eve were the first dead people to see and hear God. God calls out to dead people, "Taste and see that the Lord is Good." God says He made the nations so the dead would seek God, by feeling for Him though he is not far, Acts 17:27. The dead have touched God, they laid a rapid successions of rights and lefts on Jesus. Mary nursed Him.

@@Over-for-now Actually, we inherited death and we can't come to God without servants preaching the way to Him. There was a time when God spoke in parables to keep unbelieving Israel from coming, BUT NOW, commands all men everywhere to repent in that He RAISED CHRIST FROM THE DEAD.
Israel would not come because the fathers of Israel false teachings wouldn't allow them to come.

Why do these preachers spend precious time on Calvin. Just stay with scripture THAT says NONE seek after God. In our corrupt free will, we do not and we will not come to HIM

Instead of dominating this TH-cam channel's "Comments" section with your bad theology, why don't you start your own. Then spew whatever you want in depth; and we, in turn, can respond appropriately to you. Also, Calvin is discussed because of his history, and influence regarding the development of TULIP; and introducing and/or promoting incorrect ideas. God instructs Christians to be knowledgeable. Researching Calvin is very appropriate because he was a notable player/influencer in the universe of Christendom.

@RealRealist1 it's interesting how our comments are invited but HOW you are so hurt and offended. If you get saved and allow God to open spiritual eyes you would absolutely see our deadness and TD ALL through the Holy Word.. l Guess it SURE shows our rejection and our rebellion against God when we are offended by the truth. If you don't like what l bring to your TH-cam just block me. There's a lot of preachers who can't take it.

@@Over-for-now you comment on here accusing “these preachers” of not preaching scripture but if you’d have truly listened you’d have heard his teaching on the scriptures as he sees it in context ‘being dead’ to sin vs a corpse and how our free will comes into it.
Consider Romans 6:1-14. Paul repeatedly says that believers are "dead" to sin. Yet, believers are certainly able to RESPOND to sin. If one wants to embrace extreme Calvinism and assumes that, since unbelievers are dead to God they cannot respond to God, then one should be logically consistent and say that, since believers are dead to sin they cannot respond to sin. If a believer, though dead to sin, can RESPOND to sin, then an unbeliever, though dead to God, can respond to God. 1What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer? 3Or aren’t you aware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life.
5For if we have been united with Him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection. 6We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. 7For anyone who has died has been freed from sin.
8Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him. 9For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, He cannot die again; death no longer has dominion over Him. 10The death He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life He lives, He lives to God. 11So you too must count yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its desires. 13Do not present the parts of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and present the parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness. 14For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.

@JodKrMdr l don't think many understand THAT as saved believers we ARE given a NEW nature of God. However, we still have the adamic nature THAT God declared is ONLY evil continually. THE gift of righteousness THAT God imputes to the believers is that which causes us to never sin. When we DO sin as believers, it is THAT adamic nature THAT caused us to disobey
We will not be delivered from the adamic nature until we are glorified in heaven. By the way, thanks for responding instead of attacking. I feel strongly that TD and our deadness and inability is VERY scriptural so it sounds like lm attacking because l believe a true Christian WILL see those truths
