I distinctly remember in 2009 playing the base game and getting my baby taken away and later I found the baby grown up as a toddler in another household. I remember thinking that was so COOL and that the world was alive.
omg I forgot toddlers used to crawl, I really miss how raising kids was in the sims 2 and 3!! better babies and more realistic consequences if you didn't care for them well
@@Adys-dc6lz but how? I know they exist, in Sims 3 they remain on the relationship panel, and toddler, and child, and child can be invited to visit. Please describe what you did with the families, how much playing time was in the save in total, how long did you wait, were they definitely the same abandoned children, and not the generation of nps in the same clothes that the children were in when they were picked up by a social worker
@@Tevi_L7151 I try to making my toddler taken away, and then I don't know why, in another save i adopted a toddler that was the same sim because he/she (i don't remember if was a boy or a girl) had same looking, clothes and traits
In sims 2 I remember having my 2 sons taken away because one of them got stuck on something and I couldn't reset him, I thought it was so unfair I lost my other son because he was in perfect health so I had another household adopt him back and just moved him back with his parents 😂
In the sims 4 you can't get your child back if they get taken away because its considered a death in the game files. So basically they don't exist anymore. I don't know if its the same in the sims 3 but I know i've never seen one of them show up in the adoption pool or even in another household. I think that's really sad that happens actually I didn't know that would happen when I was little and I tried to get my Sim's son taken away so that another family could adopt him for a storyline. But then I realized you couldn't do that and it was like " :( " for little me
If you can, you should try do this in the Sims 2, I remember playing it once and my two child sims were taken away (either their parents died or I trapped them in a box idk) and I played with a new family who I made adopt a child, and it was one of the first kids, then she grew up, went to uni and moved out, she also adopted a child and it was her sister who was still a child, but there was no data saying that they were sisters, only mother and daughter, so in a way, they were sisters and mother and daughter at the same time. And that is why I love the Sims 2
I remember i had a family in sims 3 , the father and mother with their toddler son and their young adult daughter which was living in another household with her husband's family. When the toddler was taken away , after a long time i saw his teen self living with another family. And his sister could contact his child version and when he became a young adult i made the sis to add him to her family(i didn't know any mods back then) then i added him back to his parents place so he could inherite their house after their deaths
I did this last night with one my six, they took them all away. Which was an absolute blessing. I had Bonehilda as a roomate and she adopted on of them. Bizarre game
It helps that the Sims have parental programming, which is so strong that even a sim with the Dislikes Children trait will _still_ autonomously take care of their kids despite getting a negative moodlet from it.
@@nataliebell6760 I've been playing TS3 lately and I've noticed that. It's been a while since I've played, but I noticed that when the parents go in to take care of the baby/toddler, they actually help whatever need it has. In TS4 it doesn't seem to matter who the sim is, when they interact with the babies/toddlers they do random things like shoosh the baby or just watch the toddler instead of helping.
Yes Sims 4 parents seem so lost😂 Even other families you aren’t playing! Went to visit Mortimer Goth and two times when there was a new baby (that house is always producing more kids I swear!) I got a pop up about the starving baby and that it was about to be taken away. Being the good friend my Sim was, I had him feed the baby so that wouldn’t happen lol.
@@Sakanamoto That happens all the time for me too. Every time I visit a lot that has a baby, the pop-up comes up saying it needs to be fed. I always feed them too lol.
You can actually change the strength of the light sources. In sims 4 they are automatically on full brightness however in sims 3 If I remember correctly 1:3 brightness is the default. So you can make them stronger
can't believe how much better Sims 4 looks than 3 overall. Especially the Sims themselves, a lot of them are ugly in 3. I'll stick with 4, lol. And I think at one point we've all had some fun and neglected our kids to see what happens. But I'm surprised she didn't know the child gets taken away at the end
I had a child taken away recently because they got too cold and they got placed in their father's home instead, I just called them back and had them readded to the household Not sure if it was my story progression mod that had that happen though

Kids can be readopted in the sims 3. It just is random and takes time. They still exist. 😋
Can you give the kid back after you adopt them in sims 3 or is this a save scumming situation
no, game generates new sims for adoption. Abandoned children end up where homeless npc are

She’s still in the town. When a social worker takes a child it’s placed in another household
This is why I like the MCCC option to have neglected children adopted in the Sims 4. That should be in the game without a MOD.
i think master controller for the sims 3 has it.
Modders must feel like Atlas. They literally holding up The Sims 4 and carrying the game.
