- In this video I created a 13" tray using a new resin called Istoyo. this was done in 4 layers with a total of 20 oz of resin. Within the layers are resin hearts that I have made over the years and they placed randomly throughout, all made with different heart molds. On the last layer, IE top coat, I place two black metal handles, one on each side of the tray, those were purchased at my local Hobby Lobby. I did end up doing a coat on the back of the tray because my mold isn't shiny and I added some sparkle to that with the Mara bu rainbow alcohol ink. #resin #resinart

@resinmeup I just bought a Cricut Joy, haven't set it up yet, I've done several things like Coasters W-trays, I just finished some transparent geode heart shaped coasters
@@cynthiabillington2070 I was thinking if it was your anniversary/vday you could use those coasters to make a memory set. You can cut your wedding date info out on vinyl and after you pour like maybe your wedding colors in glitter, mica powder or dried flowers (maybe what you had in your wedding) and its cured, put your vinyl on the top and then seal it with a top coat.

I've been having the same issue when I work with resin. My nose just won't stop running! It's so annoying because I work with it every day. I sell at craft fairs, so I need to keep up with inventory.
It's the main reason I don't start a channel 😢

@resinmeup totally agree. But you work is always clean and clear to me hehe. I'm considering getting the let's resin mixer but I've seen the istoyo one to om a few channels bur one with a USB and seems great. Along as they do the job then all is good isn't it. That's what you want. Look forward to your next upload. You stay warm to. Its been below freezing here in the UK. And I've seen on my storm chaser channels I watch the snow across America..
@@dandaresin the Lets Resin mixer I used in this video is a great mixer too. Its mostly for larger quantities of resin, like 16-20oz at a time because you want it to be at the top or close to the top of the blades to prevent bubbles. But I have their handheld mixer as well, its a good little unit as well, its rechargable. OMG the cold is horrible here, its been like -7 degrees and we have gotten 12" of snow last week. Crazy polar vortex🤯🥶. But you dont be disappointed either way you go with the mixers. ❤
@resinmeup I don't actually have a mixer as I've only just moved onto larger projects so I'll be looking at a handheld one for now and maybe the resiners later down the line. We have had -4/-5 degrees amd it's absolutely freezing lol. That's alot of snow. We got an inch lol. We don't get much snow here in the UK which is a shame as it would be nice to get it above am inch lol 😆 stay safe and warm ❤️

When you have a nice dome on a project... especially if you know its quite full...skip the spraying with alcohol. It can break the surface tension on your piece, and cause the overflow you were talking about. Instead, for bubbles...use a long barbecue lighter and run it lightly over the piece. 😊

I was wondering....you made a tray...is this food safe??
I wouldnt put anything food wise on it directly until the full curing time of 30-45 days. After that it should be on.
Well if that person has such a problem with yur sniffing she can turn her volume off so she don't have to hear you doing that
