I love Sherbet, I was grinding so hard to get him home. After I got him, my overall mood increased, not just from the stop of grinding, from everything I had going on.
I also got sherbet, but not in the way I expected. You see, I haven't got sherbet nor pinecone yet, and I was pulling on pinecone gacha, when suddenly, I got sherbet, and I was so happy!!!!

I really think it’s hilarious hearing this from sherbet’s side of the story because from Cotton’s perspective, she sees her friend get kidnapped out into the cold and he’s about to freaking die, but Sherbet is like, “Oh I walked out into the cold to meet this lady and then I fell asleep. Suddenly I woke up, and cotton was above me, something interesting might’ve happened before I turned to snow but it probably wasn’t all that important” Also can Sherbet not tell time or do cookies genuinely have short life expectancy because cotton be looking like a grandma cookie in one year, and that makes sense I guess in the context of cookies but what do I know.
I think, in game, cotton cookie is actually older than she appears in the gacha/kingdom. The whole events of the winter story did take place a year ago (our time) but even then, it was framed as a story older cotton cookie was telling to a young child
As far as I can tell, it's "not important" and can be assumed that the Cotton we have now in our kingdom is the current and that the old one is in the future long after the main story has finished? (Cause ofc the ending if we ever get one will be the cookies winning and beating Dchatnress). Either that or the cotton in our kingdom isn't the current and that she was already old by the time Gingerbrave's story was starting? Devs have always had this thing with being vague on details until its convenient to -retcon- put them in better context later imo Though... I place my coin on the current cotton being already old if the cake milestone reward is anything to go by and follows after Sherbet's mission story. (If this happens to be wrong for any reason, I'm more than happy to hear as to why :O )
