    Jordan love did exactly what he was supposed to do and got the bag. I’m beyond sick and tired of hearing all these fans and all these so-called experts get pissed off about quarterbacks getting paid every single time we talk about a football team we always have to mention a quarterback y’all say quarterbacks are the most important positionin the sport practically ignoring everything else on a football team so I have no problem with Jordan getting the money

    The cap hit isn’t even bad.

    17th 2025
    15th 2026
    10th 2027

    He is absolutely worth that based on what he’s shown and it will be even better once guys like Purdy/Dak and other QBs get paid.
    For reference Jalen Hurts cap hit in 2029 is $97M. TLaws is $78M.

    People need to get it through their thick skulls that he doesnt need to be "better or as good as aaron" he just needs to win more. And he can do that being more gutsy at times. Being more coachable. Not holding onto the ball. Being more engaged. Not checking out of run plays so damn much. Not questioning every play call the coach makes. Very few players are better or more talented than aaron but there are plenty who won at a higher clip for intangible reasons

    The only way he is the highest paid QB is by signing bonus. He has the highest signing bonus in NFL history. Jared Goff is getting $80M in cash and Love getting $79M in cash this season so he's not even making the most money this season. Watson should still be considered the highest paid in history because he is the only one who will get every dollar in his contract. Everyone else will either get extended into a new deal or get cut and never make that $220-275M in their current deals.

    I believe in Jordan Love because of his 18-0 TD-INT in the red zone. Not saying that's some infallible metric, just that, that's the kind of numbers only like Aaron Rodgers puts up and it makes the Rodgers similarities fell like a real observation and not a bias because of the uniform and off balance throws. Also in that slow start there were flashes so it already looked like he just needed to put something together

      Herbert and Burrow don't have high ceilings? A healthy Burrow could be MVP, and Herbert with a competent O line and coach could also be MVP. Tua, sure, we know what we have IMO. Hurts also has shown us a lot, but I think Love has a long way to go to reach his heights too.

    • @DTOStudios
      @DTOStudios หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@judgejudyandexecutioner.5223Herbert is the only other QB with a comparable ceiling to Love in that draft class. Burrow is really good but he's not as mobile, and doesn't have the same ability to throw off platform or with crazy arm angles as Love and Herbert. Hurts just isn't as talented a thrower, and Tua is a pocket passing QB so more limited in ability and can't throw in the cold. All great QBs, but as pure throwers it's Herbert and Love neck and neck, and everyone else in that class below them

    Jordan Love wouldn't have been ready in 2020 because that was the Pandemic shortened season. Ironically it was Herbert's best season and he was not expected to play either. Rodgers was MVP twice in the three years of Love and Lafleur has said Jordan was ready to start Year 3. Not sure why Gutey traded Davante and didn't trade Aaron to the Bronocs and put Love out there but that is the only question. Aaron was 6-10 his first season and was extended midway that year in 2009 to the highest QB contract.

      They wasted 2022. Lafleur said Love was ready to take over and he showed it in preseason. Could have gotten a haul for Rodgers but instead gave him $101.5M guaranteed to miss the playoffs. Rodgers broke his thumb and didn't want Love to take his job so he hurt the Packers playoff chances and his trade value the following year with that much bad tape. The whole "highest paid" BS is just stupid. AAV means absolutely nothing in the NFL. It looks good for his agent. All these guys get the bag and more power to them but these talking points about contracts mean very little. Love, Tua and Trevor were all going to get big deals because that's the nature of the business. There have already been other graphics out there that show over the next 4 years, Mahomes actually has more real cash in his bank account than any of these guys with Burrow a close 2nd. At any rate, Love's 2024 is a damn good year. The kid is fortunate. A lot of unknowns with Love but he has the tools and talent to be a good one. And he has a good coach that utilizes him the right way.
