    Just after Dalmeny they mention a new chord being required for this route to become the mainline between Edinburgh and Glasgow, that chord is still being looked at today as part of the Edinburgh Waverley Western Approach scheme... dont ever let anyone say we rush things in the railways!

      Only if I run across a tape with the full ride. These clips came from a tape of highlights

      The Castle can be seen as we approach the city centre. It was built in the early 1100’s so it must have been filmed after that date.
