To bad there is a "Black screen" bug before the Light Tower ... there are ways to circumvent it, but is still annoying ... I think that the Wii u version (virtual console) doesn't have the bug, but the Physical wii version sure does

I'm so glad you mentioned Endless Ocean! My friends mercilessly made fun of me when I showed them how cool it was, but it really is a gem of a game and graphically impressive title for the Wii!
I bought a wii for my girlfriend to play dance dance revolution in 2008, didn't like the console at the beginning, because my ps3 had superior graphic. But over the next few years I slowly fell in love with the wii, thanks to all the great games. Now I'm a proud collector with around 200 wii games, and I have every game on this list!
This is the first time I have ever heard Arc Rise Fantasia mentioned positively. It usually gets lambasted for terrible voice acting and everything else good is ignored.

Darkside Chronicles was such a good game, especially in terms of a sequel to Umbrella Chronicles, the final boss especially felt like a massive step up from the first game, with throw backs to some enemies from the gun survivor games!
Sonic colors, mario Galaxy 1 and 2 and xenoblade chronicles are all enough to make me buy the Nintendo wii which I did. Don’t listen to others, there are some awesome games on the system.
I’m glad you liked Endless Ocean, I find it underrated. It’s one of my favorite Wii games. My favorite part of it might be discovering the sea creatures, some of which I didn’t know existed in real life like the Praya dubia (but some creatures I think are fictional). Although I personally like its sequel more, there are more creatures, you get to dive in different areas around the world, and there’s just more stuff to do. If you do like the first game you might like the second game too.
Sonic Colors I haven't played much, but I do agree that it's a very pretty game. Pandora's Tower I absolutely ADORE!!! It's awesome! I never finished it, but it was the first time that I actually got excited about playing my Wii.

The wiiu modded is literally the ultimate Nintendo machine. My condolences to your Grandfather, we wouldn't be here without them.

Always love to see Wii get praised and I'm looking forward to spotting any games I might not yet have (perhaps some I've simply overlooked). 1:03 - The lighting effects immediately popped out to me. They piece through the darker environments nicely, allowing for a gloomy area to still have decent visibility. I may potentially own this Dead Space Extraction... I'm just unsure if the copy I own is PAL or NSTC. I should really find out. 2:35 - Darn it; I'm being taunted here! I'd love to own Arc Rise Fantasia (one of the few turn based JRPGs on the Wii) but it never came out in PAL territories. Characters have such clear and vibrant designs, both in their 2D drawn art and their in-game models. 8:57 - Seems both rail shooters and snowy landscapes are getting a nice spot of attention in this video. 15:15 - An another snowy environment on display here. Glad to see Other M get some appreciation here; Team Ninja tend to do an astounding job on the graphics department whenever they make a game and it's certainly true here. Interesting how much anti-aliasing was discussed within this video. You discussed each game's visuals with a lovely bit of depth, focusing more on just the style and feel of the game's visuals. As for the game's mentioned, I knew of each of them and only lack three, though I hope to obtain them someday (despite how I'd need to get an NSTC Wii for one of them).

Many offer news or updates on titles, coverage of game awards and gossip or rumours. And even thou those creators put lots of effort in the end result is lots of miss information, arguments in the threads and not a lot of talk or time showing video games. Some reviews get too in-depth and spoil the games . Anyway the short answer I gave rather quickly was "That Video Games Show". Man in my eyes you did it. You made a channel about the games and none of the crap.

Arc Rise Fantastia is a great game, but please try to play it with the Undub if possible, the English VA is one of the all time worst lol. Pandora's Tower is one I really need to check out sometime.
I was honestly surprised to see the game getting such high praise because I was sure I'd tried it in a different life and had a lot of trouble just tolerating the characters because of this. But honestly, if memory serves, the undub wasn't much better. A different language, sure, but I remember it still being either too flat, or too over-acted. But it might be because I tried them one-right-after-the-other. So maybe the foul taste of the english VA was still on my pallette when I switched to Japanese
@Nhat Anh Hoang I'll definitely have to give it another go, then. Aside from trying Japanese/English too closely back-to-back, it's also possible it was just my mood at the time. I know I tried it when I was on a huge emulation binge so I almost had too many options at hand and was likely in a specific mood for something to sink my teeth into. The game definitely looks great in this showcase and I feel like I maybe did myself a disservice by giving up too quickly lol
Other M deserves some recognition. The animation, the models, the textures the lighting. They all look insane on the Wii. Even if you hate it Other M is still eye candy. I mean come on now, This is the machine notorious for having downgraded ports of CoD and Anubis the 2nd.
I Predict Nintendos systems will catch up to PS/Xbox in graphics power as the cost of the hardware comes down and 4k becomes standard. I can't imagine it going to 8k, 16k, and up it wont be discernable anymore.
Dead Space Extraction could've been one of my favourite Wii hidden gems, if it weren't for the fact it did a lot of fake out ending moments... the game went on for way too long imo. It's a freaking rail shooter for crying out loud, no need to pad it. Horror fans probably love this game but eh, not for me. Not sure if it was included in part 1 btw, but I wanna shoutout Sonic and the Secret Rings. Game looks gorgeous, especially on Dolphin.

yet it looked worse on those platforms it was always a Wii project to begin with and please Darkside Chronicles has normal mapping, reflective textures and great lighting.. on a 480p CRT it looks stunning.

Yea, I noticed that as well. However, if you play on the actual hardware with component cables & a TV with decent upscaling or with an external upscaler you will get pretty much the same result. Also, if you play on a Wii U it upscales Wii games to 1080p, so can still get a better experience that way as well.

Yes these games look good but not as good as being played on the emulator you're using. People playing these on an actual Wii for the first time are gonna go wtf.
Arc Rise Fantasia does look great and plays pretty good, but the voice acting is so goddamn atrocious. It sounds as bad as those really terrible voice works from PS1 era RPGs.
@Nhat Anh Hoang Actually, I'd say the difficulty balance was way off the mark as well, but maybe it wasn't as noticeable over the VA. I really wish they started adding dual audio options back in the day.
Silent Hill Shattered Memories on the Wii is perfect and looks great. The PSP port is also good and provides a different style compared to the Wii. Both versions of the game look great.
Finally Pandora's tower. Every wii owner should play this tittle, such an experience with the perfect balance between a date sim and and epic rpg

I think you should be clear about if you're playing on the system or if this is captured on an PC emulator with HD resolution and altered FPS.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Wii release of Colors only runs at 30 fps while Dolphin can run the game at the full 60.

Arc Rise Fantasia does look great and plays pretty good, but the voice acting is so goddamn atrocious. It sounds as bad as those really terrible voice works from PS1 era RPGs.
@Nhat Anh Hoang Actually, I'd say the difficulty balance was way off the mark as well, but maybe it wasn't as noticeable over the VA. I really wish they started adding dual audio options back in the day.

Silent Hill Shattered Memories on the Wii is perfect and looks great. The PSP port is also good and provides a different style compared to the Wii. Both versions of the game look great.
