- While applying the driveshaft/transmission panels, we ran into a dilemma... these types of situations happen when you build things. The faster you can make decisions, the faster the job will go.

Mr Chad. Love watching your videos. I have a question for you sir. Im going to be restoring my truck. Im looking at purchasing a good but budget friendly Corded DA Sander. What are your thoughts and what would you recommend.
Chad you are so right. You are a great teacher!
Thank you, Chad and Jolene for the continent. I sure appreciate watching it.
Happy birthday Doug!!!!
Crazy angle on the driveshaft
needs to drop the rear of the gearbox down
It will change after the body weight and rest of parts are put on
Motor and trans should have been lower in the frame that drive shaft tunnel would have been lot smaller more room for seats and better drive shaft angle
Its being made for Jolene to drag race it. I’ll be fine!
@@tommywilliams5135 I've said the same thing all along for different reasons
What a transformation it looks awesome
Happy birthday Doug!! The floor looks awesome Chad. Nate did an awesome job helping you bead roll them panels. This car deserves to be painted to be honest. Awesome video Jolene!!!
My husband and I bought the exact same model and year coupe about 33 years ago. It had a few more parts, but looked much the same. We always wondered whether we should chop it, but hesitated because we didn't know what it would like like, but now we know we will chop it because we can see exactly how it will look. We have loved every episode of the build on this car, because we can use this as a guideline to do the rebuild on our car. Hopefully we can retire out soon so we can get the time! GREAT JOB on this, Chad and Jolene.
Don't listen to idiots like Stephen. It will be fine. Some people just like to pretend they know everything. If it's what you would like, chop away and enjoy
@@stephenk79-rc1il A typical wannabe who's mad because he can't make people think he knows everything and actually has experience and knowledge about this stuff. It's just sad really but maybe someday you'll grow out of it. We all mature at some point you'll get there too.
@@stephenk79-rc1il We'll have our professional welder nephew do it and it will work.
The floor is looking really great
It really is a very smart way of doing it fast simple, and gets the job done
I'm always amazed at how much work you get done in a short period of time.
Thanks for bringing us along Bad Chad, this floor and suspension work has taught me a ton!!🤩
🤔I think I would screw the top drive shaft panel for easy access & add a driveshaft LOOP for Safety
I watch you every day, love it , I also watch Vice Grip garage, plus DD speed shop ! Love all three !
Said the same thing rooster
Great idea rooster!!!
You think ?
Great idea Rooster!!
Floorboard looks great.
Thanks for sharing with us
Love the show! I watch it all the time.😊
The floor looking good chad
For me watching your Bad Chad channel and Jolene’s jolene channel is like going to automotive school I can learn lots of techniques watching you(Bad Chad), Nathan, and Douglas
Happy Birthday 🎂 Doug 🥳 No Problem for a man of your caliber Chad Go for it Team Hiltz 👁 🐅 👌
The Floor looks awesome. Great Job.
Happy Birthday Doug!!🎉
The floor is looking beautiful guys I'm really impressed 👏 👌
Chad if you clamp a piece of square stock behind those panels you could just push it up tight weld it then take out the square stock
I didn’t realize that your square tube skeleton wasn’t fully welded to the frame. That it will be cut free from frame and floor will go with the body. It’s not ingenious, simply the RIGHT way to do it !!! Great job Chad 👍🏽
Would the driver line tunnel be strong enough to hold up if the drive line was to break?
You are a good teacher, step by step and the reason for each step.
Looks really good Chad! Cheers
Watch every night , enjoying the show , you guys work so hard but produce a quality show 👌👍
You putting driveshaft loop in for safety?
You could cut a 2 inch strip of that steel sheet, brake it at a 90 and half a 1” flange on each side. Plug weld em together and no need for square stock along that bottom between the “studs” or leave a bit of excess on that flat panel next time and bend a flange on it.
Floor looks awesome
Happy Birthday, Doug. And many, many more!
You could sell the grinder sound as a ringtone! Good filming Jolene..
ONly problem with this "bad" job is now it can only be painted on one side looks good on TV and here comes the rust
Looks good all bead rolled out...really coming together...cya tomorrow
Good job, Chad and Jolene!
HAPPY BORNTDAY DOUGLES!!!!
If Chad did it like everyone else you could watch everyone else.... I like the way Chad does his work..😊
The floor pans look great!! ✌️❤️
Thank you for showing us the process.. it helps me so much while fabricating at work ❤❤❤❤❤
Check your driveshaft angle to transmission and rear diff. Generally less than 3 degrees provides recommended angle. Just a quick check
It's past checking now needs to add a CV joint to make up for the angle just like on a lifted 4x4
To be clear, love the channel, content is awesome, love Chad, the Queen and the crew. But when Chad stops welding to inspect every single individual spot weld when clearly the panel is flat it seriously screws my ocd..🤣 just weld the sucker !!! 🤣 you are good sir !! You tack well sir !!! Pull the mutha effin trigger son !!!!! 🤣 love your work. 💯💯💯
Looks amazing. You have helped me so much with my project. Thank you
Bad Chad, the fabrication of the square stock and then floor panels is absolutely brilliant. You get a vision in your head and you are able to build what your vision is !! That’s remarkable in my book….🤟🏼✌️😎🥇🥇
Another great video! Thanks for sharing!
Great job Chad the fluid looks good
Elton John was going bald 40 years ago. Now he has a full head of hair. See if he'll share his secret
It's a wig lol
😂😂@@-donkey_696_
Chad is in his 50's ,that what happens when men get older, they go bald .
I'm sure it's not bothering him at all,the reason being is ,he's got a hot young wife
Great job on floor pan fab and install looks clean
Happy birthday Doug !
Happy birthday, Doug !!
Don't matter never going down the road like the Bugatti wedding
Maybe try doing a curved trans tunnel?
Great work.
I would get that drive line balanced
I'm watching the bonus episode with Chad welding to nice music. Iust say that I'm enjoying it so much more than the tutorial and constant cutting and grinding. It's actually relaxing. I'm still watching instead of fast forwarding.😊
You make it look so easy. Love it!!
Happy birthday GUYS
Get well soon Fina!
Best show. I never miss an episode
Drill holes in hockey pucks, make body mounts !!
He uses boat trailer rollers, no drilling required.
Go for it Team Hiltz
Your honestly one of the only channels that actually shares and shows us what to do. I would like to see the last couple cars finished, like the hot wheels car and i definitely wantvto see this done
Happy Birthday Doug I hope you have a great day
Looks awesome, good job Chad and Joline
Chad your floor panels look great, like a pro.
Makes total sense why you are building it the way you are, people just love making negative comments. Trying to bring you down is easier than trying to build themselves up.
Hello everyone hope you’re all having a great weekend
Chad & Jolene, I hope you enjoy your Saturday evening! Chad I noticed that Rooster said the same thing as I was thinking. Which is that I would screw the top down on the console in case you need to get at the shifter without getting under the car. Also, I have already said that for Jolene's safety you should make a drive shaft hoop! It is easy for you to make in 15-20 minutes and it is made of heavier metal than the floor and it will stop the driveshaft from coming through the floor and hurting someone racing the car! Jolene great work as always, you do such a good job with the camera, the video, and the production of it all!
Yes make a driveshaft loop, sanctioned tracks say it is a must with slicks.
@@FrankKunkel The driveshaft loop issue is an important discussion Chad will probably discuss with Nate
hi Chad Jolene & Fina Happy Birthday Doug & Nate hope you had a great day 🥳🥳🥳🥳😎
Good & tight, looks almost water tight 😊
“There’s worse things going on for people. That’s for sure.” -Bad Chad
Love your stuff man, and your attitude!!
Chad are you mounting any rubber spacer between the floor and frame..I would add 2 at the rear in the trunk area for a total of 6 attaching points
Awesome, Thanks
i just love watching , maybe 2/3 days behind as i'm D I Y working in my garden .keeping the boss lady happy LOL
Looking good!!!
Top work 👏 👌 👍
Happy birthday doug from Maine
Floor panels look great😊 nice work!
Eyeballing cuts is one of my favorite activities to do. I’m a tinner by trade but not hvac. Architectural sheet metal copper roofs and such. Dabbled in bodywork for a short while and enjoyed the shit out of. Would love to get back into it slowly building up my tool supply so when I do work on my truck I can go full send. Like how ya work man. Good stuff.
Mr. Chad , the last panel that you put on near the shift , consider screwing it down instead in case something needs to be done to the shifter. Easy to take off and on.
I like ur simplicity and efficiency good sir.
Bad Chad and there is nothing wrong with that. Working hard!
Awesome job 🎉🎉❤❤❤
Happy Birthday to Doug and Nate
wish Fina a speedy recovery.
Looks. Longer. Now. ❤❤❤❤❤
woww beautiful floor PANEL GREAT JOB
Happy Birthday Doug and Nate. Chad I enjoy the builds but you have started talking too much, most you watch know what you are doing without being told two or three times. The work is great the talking not so much.
Happy birthday nate and doug
Thanks for everything Chad and Jolene we appreciate the content. The car is looking great so far, that floor is A+
FINA!!!
OH NO!!!!!!!!!
Enjoyed this sunday programming over breakfast! Great job chad! Keep on truckin'! Jolene's camera work is impeccable!❤❤ keep up the excellent content! Many blessings!❤❤❤😊
I cant say I fully understand this concept but I see it as a great learning opportunity and look foward to seeing the progression, rooting for your success.👍👍🇺🇲
Looking good
Looking good - you're getting there day by day for sure.
Happy Birthday to Doug. The floor looks great.
The haircut is the key to be comfortable and that makes one able zone into their day
Lookin good ! 👍
I've one question, where are you planning on putting your clutch , brake and gas pedal? If you angle the floor the way it's looking you'll have No room for them as the floor is on an angle and would put them back beside the shifter ...
I'd probably make the firewall square stock come closer to the transmission which would fix this issue and bring the floor closer to the firewall .... can't wait to see how you approach this , the way it looks now your firewall won't incorporate the pedals....
Thank you
Happy birthday, Dougles!! 😁
