MA Saripuththa explained to MA Kothika that Right View (Samma Ditti) can only arise in two ways (MN 43 sutta) 1. by careful attention 2. Voice of another --- 1 can only arise from a Samma Sam Buddha by HIM paying careful attention to mind & matter during HIS attainment to enlightenment due to HIS PARAMI strength. Then The SAM BUDDHA teach others by words (voice) and that teachings get handed down by voice of Sangha until the DHAMMA get disappeared one day & again after a very long time another SAM BUDDHA re-discovered the Right View. It is only by a SAM BUDDHA's careful attention (yoniso manasikara) that Right View & Noble Eight-Fold Path get taught by others. But an ordinary worldling cannot pay careful attention and find the Right View according to the Dhamma. So, we need to learn Dhamma-Vinaya analytically (Kalama Sutta), live & practice accordingly and not by blind belief.
