One of my favorite Mike Nesmith songs while with the Monkees and very underrated!
Co written by John London, occasional Bassist for the Monkees (to free up Peter to play other instruments) and member of The 1st National Band.
This didn’t exist a few years ago, but glad it exist today!
This guy was pure talent.
John London who reappeared in both the first and second national bands.
_Not_ in the 2nd National Band!
this is WONDERFUL thankyou so much for sharing it
Sounds a lot like Don't Let the Sun Catch you Crying.
I was wondering what this sounded like.
The Monkees recorded a more sophisticated version of Mike's song.
I love this song Going to listen to the slower electric version next
Oh thank you for sharing! I love Nez's demos. He's really picking here.
THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SINGLE!!!!
honestly a lot of mikes stuff was single material, wish he was given more flexibility during the monkees era
joanne couldve been a monkees song but because it was a ballad/country song it was given the axe sadly, he mustve been laughing at them when it became a classic
i'm doing backflips over this version omg. where did you find this!
andrew sandoval played it on his come to the sunshine radio show :)
This is awesome!
Wow! I like this better than the recording version!
I definitely like the final version better.. I love that airy moody nightclub lounge sound
Thank you very much!
Love this!! My fave! ❤🙏
OMG! Thank you. 2:19
Good video
Nez could pick a good tune.
he wrote it
@@larrywakeman4371 I know he wrote it. I meant pick like pick guitar.
@@larrywakeman4371he actually wrote it as an exercise playing major 7th chords on the guitar.
Don’t let the sun catch you crying?
