I get people being drawn to Palo, or any other practice on this Earth for that matter, in search of something, yet I'm always saddened by how egotistical, arrogant, judgemental or critical some people's behavior is. It's like they don't want to put the work in to their own greatly needed self development thinking it will get fixed somehow by itself if they show some interest. But that's kinda the point. One reason that initiation is so important is that those who really want to put the effort in are the ones eventually getting scratched, not those who haven't humbled themselves... for the most part, all things have exceptions and generalities. Thank you Tata for this great and timely video! Very nice to learn more about the African and African Diaspora traditional views on Spirituality! As I understand it the Eggun are spiritual ancestors, spirits that were once human, who have moved on into the afterlife. So in short they can be our relatives, or others who have gone from this life into the next world. So to sort of recap--and everyone feel free to correct my spelling or understanding, we can possibly have contact with: Eggun Gogo - Assigned to help you out as a "fill-in" or "floater", a passed-on human. Eggun Shepo - A passed on human who is now a protector spirit. Eggun Oley - A friend who has passed on, and decided to help you out from the other side. Eggun Alaye - A family member you knew who his helping you out, from the other side. Eggun Elemi - Your spiritually guiding Eggun who helps to arrange your course in life, and advises you. I feel like there is always more to learn, so these African religions always spark my curiosity. But yeah, we have to check ourself, and not just think "I can do whatever." Life won't work that way. So thank you again for your kind sharing, you are a REAL JEWEL among all the people online teaching others about these subjects!

Hey Tata can I feed the talisman by putting rum in a spray bottle and spraying it that way. I been trying to stay sober so putting the rum in my mouth is somewhat an issue.
