- The Ancient One & Guru Arjan Dev
Many thousands of years ago, in a previous yuga, before the current kal yuga, there was a devotee who wanted to behold the greatest enlightened man who would appear in the future. He was blessed to go into samadhi for over 5,000 years in order to meet such a person: Guru Arjan Dev.
When Guru Arjan Dev began a project to dig a sarvor, a sacred bathing pool, an ancient structure was discovered deep under the ground where this ancient being had been suspended in meditation by bringing his life force to the tenth gate.
When he finally had the darshan of Guru Arjan Dev he asked many deep questions about the nature of the universe and then, with the help of Baba Buddha ji, he went into a greater samadhi and left his body.
This story is many thousands of years in the making and teaches us the value of patience and the importance of the Gurus and their teachings.

Gautam Buddha was also a messenger, it is very disrespectful by comparing the messengers. The aim of the Gurus of every religion was to give direction to the human kind.

Sikhnet could you please not draw animations of guru ji but Your sakhis are amazing.
We are thinking deeply on this subject. On one hand some people are finding such depictions off putting. On the other hand images of Gurus have never been condemned by Gurus and it seems they may have even approved of images being made of themselves, and history shows that Sikhs have not been shy to include images of Gurus on Granths and as murals such as in Baba Atal. Clearly we need to create Saakhis digitally as it is the mode of the day, yet it needs to be done in the best way possible.
But no one knows what the gurus looked like,so you cant really draw them or animate them.

I Appreciate your effort sir but i dont think using someone voice as gurus is good or making cartoons of characters or animation like this is right thing to do. U can do katha in english.
