If you are heading into the Ecuadorian Amazon, be sure to go to El Jardín for a few days. It is by far one of our favourite places on this earth, and certainly the most tranquil.

I am assuming there are a lot of snakes! That is a no go for this guy. The pool does rock! Until a snake shows up. Great vid!
ROFL! Funny you mention snakes... Yes there are snakes in the Amazon... And we didn't see a single one! Saw a ton of birds, mainly. Most animals don't want to be near you. So it wasn't that crazy.
It was fun having a pool! It was a hard toss-up between having a jacuzzi tub because you can get some heat in the tub.

We went a few years ago (in Peru) but we've been itching to go back. Falling asleep to the sounds of the rainforest... we've never slept so well in our lives
@@EmmaOfer Ahhh that is magical. We loved that too about the rainforest. Last night we fell asleep the the palms blowing & waves crashing. That was really nice too. So much nicer than honking & sirens! Where are you two right now?

Dulce! Nos gusta Ecuador! We paddled rivers all around Tena and Baeza two years ago. Might be the wintering spot in a few years down the road. Hermoso y borato, no?!
@River Channel - ¡Amamos mucho a Ecuador! Definitivamente es uno de los lugares más bellos del mundo. Gran parte de ella sigue siendo tan pura e intacta. Eso suena como la aventura que tuviste. Ecuador sería el lugar perfecto para pasar los inviernos. Querríamos un 4x4 si viviéramos allí, y una pequeña casa agradable escondida en la jungla.

Totally agree @River Channel! The river was solid with mud and we couldn't even see an inch down. People told us it was from the mountains, but we're not sure what the actual cause is considering the immense amount of mud we experienced.
