  • This is the final episode from my Laos series. And in this video we are in the UNESCO world heritage town of Luang Prabang, which was also the Imperial Capital of Laos.
I have to say, Luang Prabang was my favourite place in Laos. It's a more developed and more tourist-friendly part of Laos.
I stayed at: Kiridara Luang Prabang.
In this video, I explore Luang Prabang town including the National Museum Luang Prabang, Phousi Hill and the legendary Kuang Si Falls.
    Tips for the sights:
    1. National Museum - you can't take photos inside and you need to wear trousers if you are a guy and cover your knees and shoulders if you are a lady.
    2. Phousi Hill is a must and doesn't take very long to get to. It's nice at sunset but full of tourists at this time!
    3. Kuang Si Falls - the road to get here is quite bad and full of potholes. There are many taxi drivers who arrange daily tours. But if you make your own way go early in the morning to avoid the crowds that start at 11am onwards.
I am in love with Laos and I hope watching this series you will be too!

In Laos, the Royal Palace is a sacred site because the king is highly respected, almost like a god. So, we should wear appropriate clothing to show our respect.

Interesting but there is no longer a king right?

@@PrinzameerTravels Indeed, despite the absence of a monarch, the site continues to uphold its enduring traditions and retains its sacred essence, much akin to a temple void of resident monks.

Lang, Prabang was my favorite place in Laos as well. Unfortunately it rained a lot during my visit. My 22hour night bus was a nightmare 😢

I want in June but unfortunately I got hit with a heat wave!! August is supposed to be rainy season but I wouldn't let that stop you from going because the rain usually only occurs in the mornings!!
