Last week I've purchased online Warhammer Quest Adventure Card Game, but it's still shipping from US (I'm in EU). Today I accidentally learned that Heroes of Terrinoth is the successor game and I found it in my local shop (so no shipping abroad). I just bought the game (HoT) and I watch some more videos before start sleeving and then play solo for training (Friday we gather with friends). Great playthrough so far I will finish it despite owning the game myself. Cheers!
This looks so awesome. Fun and easy to understand. I've been looking for a game with cards and dice and I think this is going to be it. Thanks for posting another wonderfully produced video.
Super clean and informative video, loved it. I feel like there is a lot of debate on the engagement parts of the attack cards. I feel like some people think the text revolving engagement is a passive ability that dictates the max amount of enemies you can be engaged with. "You may become engaged with 2 enemies." I don't believe is meant to mean "your max enemies engaged is 2." That is why Skullcracker says engage 2 enemies, but damage 3. You could already be engaged with 2 enemies and then grab 2 more (EDIT: or 1 more if the game's max enemies is 3 or whatever) , and then damage 3 of the 4 (or 3). I don't own the game, but having seen this debated and now seen this video..that's where I'm thinking. Only issue I have with the game, and it's not really an issue, but WHY did they not make the "burst success" symbol a SURGE. This is Runebound Universe 101!
Thanks for the nice comment! You are right after I posted this I found that I can engage up to 2 MORE enemies with that power. Regardless it worked for this one, but I will remember that for the next scenario. I get you on the SURGE symbol! Not sure why they didn't use that. Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for posting this Colin. This game looks as good as I hoped. Those tokens are awesome and that playmat is gorgeous. Looking forward to the rest of your play and hearing your thoughts.
Played the first quest through today and really enjoyed it. Certianly has enough difference to WHQ that I'll keep both.... at least until there's a campaign mode for Heroes. Think it was a good choice to not start with that since campaign play can be difficult to get a group around but hope they add it in a future expansion.
Awesome play through! Game looks real fun, I'm a big fan of the Runebound universe/the games in it, even though its known for being "generic." Just love the art style and feel.
How many stories/quests/scenarios are there in the box to play through? Thank you for a good, talk through and play through, it was enjoyable to watch, listen to and learn with - and love those upgraded tokens!
It seems, compared with warhammer, the difficulty of this game is quite a bit lower. But then, you rolled like a god in this part of the playthrough. ;) That roll at 19:20... wow. I own the Warhammer game, do you think the games are similar enough so i could use expansions for this one with my game? Or is the campaign in this game different enough to justify buying this game in addition to the first one ?
Hi Dirk! You certainly could use expansions from this game, but there are none :( It seems FFG is not supporting this title for now either so I would suggest just holding on to WACG. Thanks for watching!
After watching so many of your LOTR videos, it makes this game look like a LOTR Lite version (but a little more randomness, for those of us who -- like me! -- are dice fans)
One more rules question. You did not engage a third monster with Syndrael because the attack card said you could become engaged with up to two. My take on that, looking at Engagement on page 14 is that card lets you add up to two new opponents (obviously not more than three total). Wondering about your take.
Huh! That would be awesome and I see what you are saying! I think you are correct, granted what I did was not incorrect but it may not have been the optimal choice. Still I think you are right. The wording made it feel like you can engage UP TO 2, and while recording I felt like that meant you couldn't engage a 3rd if you already had 2 on you!
One error made is that you have to choose which enemy you have as a target before you roll. You can't roll and then choose to apply the damage as you want, unless you have a card/ability that lets you do that.
19:20 The rules say that critical success rolls give you regular successes (pg. 6), not success tokens that you add to the character's supply. Or am I missing an ability that allows you to do that?
Nice one. I much prefer warhammer univers and heroes -skills graphics but unfortunatly... Is this one as good and punishing than WHQ ? Would you recommand this one over runebound for shorter lighter game sessions ? Good job on the vidz, cheers
The nice part about this game - you can play with the Warhammer heroes and this should actually get expansions! Both of which is a positive thing. I miss the equipment in this one, and the interlocking campaign. But overall I am happy! For which is better solo. . .it depends on the time you have. Runebound is a LONG game with LONG setup. This one has quick setup and quick gameplay. It is all about what you are looking for!
@@OneStopCoopShop Well, i played warhammer quest tcg and i enjoyed it a lot, i still have it but as i know i'll never have any content with it, i'm gonna resell it for this one i guess. I think that, with Spirit island, Anachrony, Aeon's End solo and Star Wars Imperial Assault with the French App from Gravaillon, i got enough "long" games ^^ So i think i'm gonna just take that Terrinoth when it will be translated (as french version is better when i play with people not used to read and understand English) So many Games man... So many games... :D
You should be getting a commission for the playmat and tokens. I'm sure their sales are increasing. I prefer WACG's putting success tokens on actions. It's less flexible, but requires more strategic planning.
HAHAHAHA Yeah if only :) Totally get that, but it also made some tokens useless. . . Such as putting success tokens on your aid action which then you just give back to your teammate. I think overall it was a change for the better but it does make the game easier because of it!
Hello Collin, fantastic job with the playthrough. I really love those tokens and found the shop on etsy. Which tokens and how many would I need of each to play a 2 player solo game?
Sorry I missed this comment! I do not have a link, but how I found it was through Amazon, just search Dice Tower Felt and you will see it! :) Have fun I love that thing!
I want to buy those tokens but it is not clear to which one your using as the Success tokens (the star one ) On Dracula’s Etsy page it’s called something different and they are not labeled separately.... please help :)
Ah yes! The success tokens are Willpower tokens. The progress tokens are progress tokens, and the damage tokens are damage tokens. He also has shield tokens as well! Hope that helps!
I think it adds to the possible tactics you can use. From my single play through and looking at the possible characters and upgrades it feels like there's more possibility to play with different tactics (i.e. not a best path to success). Loving this game so far.
@@OneStopCoopShop So i f i have 2 successes before dice roll i have to use them on my enemy even if i roll another 2 from dice roll? And that means i can only get successes when card say" claim x successes"?
Why don't you think the exploration deck needs to be in order. It looks like page three is saying that we do need to shuffle within each stack/type and then put them together in order. Am I missing something?
Confirmed this on BGG, each deck is shuffled individually AND THEN together as there are no arrows. So they are not placed in order, but fully shuffled together in one stack. Sorry for the confusion!
Pay attention that stack and type aren't the same thing. Stacks are each of the deck icons on the quest cards, separated by arrows. Types are the card types you put in each stack. So first you shuffle the types written to the right of the deck icon into a stack, then you put different stacks on each other if there's an arrow between them (if no arrow, you have only one stack all shuffled together).
I don't sorry, I didn't make them Drac did. I really like them though they look awesome in person! I think there are some instructions somewhere on how to make them, I think you can actually just search it on google!

I'm a Runebound and Descent player so I'm 100% happy with the theme. I own Warhammer Shadepsire and think the art and theme is on the "meh" side. To each their own. I'm happy that terrinoth is getting more fleshed out. I can't wait to read all the flavor texts, I believe they're super well done.
I love the enthousiasm you show while playing and your setup tutorial helped me immensely in understanding the game and discover new tactics.

Both games are great, and different enough that I think you’ll enjoy trying both.
This is looking as good as I had hoped. My copy arrives tomorrow. Really enjoying this play through. Thank you!!!
Thanks so much for watching and SO glad you are getting a copy! Good luck on your own adventures!

Thanks for watching Jason! Drac does a great job with the tokens and I do love that playmat. Appreciate you commenting and watching!
Great start to the play through AND game ordered.
HAHAHA Yeah this one is a blast when you need a break from LOTR!
I just had my first playthrough of this game yesterday. So much fun!
Thanks for the playthrough. Looking forward to getting this once it hits stores in New Zealand.
Hope that happens soon!!
Thanks for this playthru makes me help decide I want it!!!
Good to hear Jason!
Very well presented play through. TY!
Thank you for watching!!
Those upgraded tokens are SWEET!
Background-wise, map on the mat reminds me one from Legacy of Dragonholt (of Dragonholt itself), another FFG game within Runebound setting.

Totally agree with you there! I am hoping a campaign comes out soon, but 1 offs are nice so you can jump in wherever you want!
The intro/outro music sounds something reminiscent of Final Fantasy 7 or 8. ;) Game looks fun. :D Can't wait for my copy to arrive. :D
Sorry I missed this comment! Glad you enjoy the music, so do I :) Hope your copy has shown up!
I really want this game now after watching this play through.
hope you do!!
Looking good so far, but we ended on a cliffhanger! Luckily, I'm behind in watching so the final video is waiting. :)
HAHA Always nice when watching late!
Great vid! I think I'm ready to play this game.
Thanks for watching enjoy your adventures!!!
Great run through looks great
Thanks Adam!
Great video!! Really liked it!!!

Awesome so am I, part of the reason I enjoy this so much!
I can't wait for this one to hit the stores in France !
Hope it hits soon!!
This game looks amazing... glad I purchased it....thanks for this video
Man, with all your videos, Drac will be overrun with business. And probably, his LOTR tokens will outsell everything else in his inventory by far.
I am hoping so!! :) Gotta help him out his tokens are stellar!!
This game looks so much fun can't wait for my copy to finally get to me . Hope I don't have to wait too long.
I hope it comes in swiftly!

That being said, you've added another game to my wish list :-P
Yes!! I totally agrtee, LOTR lite. Quicker to setup, play and quicker to get a game in. When I need a break from LOTR questing this will be my go-to!
Sir Splig got torn to pieces by my berserker at the end of the game.
Better believe it!

Yes, it is.
I love the tokens, but am having a trouble knowing what the success tokens are called when ordering them. We figured the rest out.
Willpower tokens!!

Well it depends. It gives you a bunch more quests, 12 more characters and more enemies. I say yes!
....plus there will inevitably be expansions unlike WQ.
good point Brock!

Good grief. I havent even received my copy yet and I already wish forexpansions. The class thing is really neat! Is there a campaign mode?

Nice play through. What i find odd though is that they swapped the order of the travel and peril steps. Any idea why? =/
Huh!! I forgot that! No idea why honestly. . . . Thank you for pointing that out not sure how I didn't notice that!
It was an interesting choice since it can wipe out new enemies in shadow that were just added by the peril step.
Might be a way to make it slightly easier?

I agree completely, I am so happy with my purchase so far. Excited to delve further into the game!
Hi Collin
Where do u get the enhanced Playmat?
Greetings Mike
Hi Mike! I got it from the FFG store. They have them in stock on their website!
quick question I understand how 2 player and 4 player works but how does 3 players work?
great question! One player will activate twice in one round! The team can decide who.
If i have 4x success from dice and enemy have 2hp the other 2 successes are saved on my character or discarded?
Successes are never saved they are spent before the dice roll and are used regardless of how many you need to defeat the monster
@@OneStopCoopShop So i f i have 2 successes before dice roll i have to use them on my enemy even if i roll another 2 from dice roll? And that means i can only get successes when card say" claim x successes"?
You never have to use success tokens but once you do they are gone. Hold max of 5. Only way to get more is through cards effects or aid action
Interesting... wonder if the wording in manual is there in case they plan to have missions with several "stacks".
I think so. . If you think about you draw maybe 6-8 explore cards a game. That would mean you would really only ever see the base cards hahaha!
