Scooter Jousting Aka Vespa Joust (1957)

Wembley, London.
M/S of a man and woman standing in a field, he is dressed in armour and she is helping him put on the last few pieces. The man is Michael Ruggles and his dresser is Margaret Farquhar, the narrator explains they are preparing for a jousting session on scooters. M/S as Margaret picks up a piece of armour and attaches it to Michael's waistband. C/U as they attach the pieces of armour at each side, the camera pans over to Margaret. C/U of arm pieces and a helmet on the ground, Margaret walks over and picks up the pieces. Various shots of Michael having the armour fitted.
L/S of the other knight in armour walking towards Michael, he is Roy Cart. With him is his dresser 'Nobby' Ross. The men walk off together and the women stand back. L/S of two mechanics stood by the motor scooters, they are Bill Andrew in white overalls and Peter Vogel in a green sweater. The two knights walk up to the scooters and get on, M/S as Peter hands a lance to Roy and starts the scooter for him. M/S as Roy rides off and Bill hands a lance to Michael. M/S as Margaret runs up and ties a red scarf on the end of the lance. M/S as Bill puts the visor down on Michael's helmet, L/S as Bill starts up the scooter.
L/S as Roy and Michael drive towards the camera. M/S from the side as Michael drives along the field. L/S of Michael and Roy approaching each other, they drive past and knock the lances out of each other's hands. L/S of the lances on the ground, Bill and Peter run and pick them up. Various shots as the two reclaim their lances and fight again. L/S as the two approach each other, they clash and Michael falls off his scooter. C/U of Margaret laughing. L/S of the two driving towards each other again, Michael falls off and the two women rush to help him. L/S as they joust again and Michael falls off.
Note: Commentary says Roy falls off, but it would appear to be Michael from the scarf on the lance.
