This is unbelievably helpful. Because I always skip anything that's not the actual story, I didn't even realize that a good author *needs* all of these parts if we want to look professional and be taken seriously. That call to leave a review is super helpful, too!
Can you do custom trim size? Trim size between hardcover and softcover can sometimes be slightly different...great video! So many create ideas I'm going to incorporate in my books!
My God you resemble me so much! Except that after having the gallbladder removed, my neck is now slim and tall again :) Thank you very much for the input.
Hello - thanks for your video. Can you add multiple photos on the same page with vellum? Example: could I add 30 small square photos on 1 page? Thank you
How does decreasing the number of pages increase your royalties with a Kindle book? Do you mean only with a paperback book, to save printing costs? Kindle Unlimited pays for number of pages read, so it would seem to make more sense to have larger fonts per page to get more pages? Is that correct?
Hi Natasha, Using Vellum, I just uploaded my eBook (ePub file) to Amazon & the page numbers are completely messed up. Any suggestions? Thanks, you’re the best!
I have gone back and forth whether or not to get Vellum. I'm not a Mac user. I prefer building my PCs since they will do exactly what I want to do. Seeing this, I'm throwing in the towel and going for it. Being me, I ran the numbers of updating all my books that still need to be formatted. It will cost me $5200. My first MacBook and Vellum will cost me almost $1500. No brainer there. I like to save money and it won't really cost me any extra time since I'm already up to 0130 waiting for hubby to come home. I already spend the time going over my back list. Who know, I may make it a service.
Hello, Thanks for the tutorial. However, when you say "for my print version" , I can't see where you're hitting to add the full wrap cover. Could you go into a little more detail? Or maybe someone else can see where you're hitting with your cursor for the add element to come up?
Thank you for sharing your workflow! How did you get the date at the start of the chapters so they didn't get formatted as the first paragraph? Did you have set its style before you imported the text?
You're welcome. I think it was an adjustment I made within the style where you choose how you want the first paragraphs to appear. My dates are in caps, because that's the one I chose (they are formatted link a first paragraph)
This was amazing! Thanks for showing the entire process so quickly. Question: if I want to do custom ornamental breaks, do you know where I can buy/upload them from? Your beetles are great, but what if I want little line drawings? Or just fancier embellishments? Any idea on where to source those from, or how to create on my own? Thanks again!
Sorry for the delayed reply. I'm not sure if you can do ornamental breaks. You can insert images so if you make a line image, that would work. Canva is a free and easy to use app to make images.
It certainly can. The difference is the time element. Something always goes off in Scrivener if you don't have the text formatted precisely. So, you spend hours trying to get to grips with the compiler settings.
Thank you for the information. Published my first book "A Seeker's path to Enlightenment". livinglibrarian.com/devp/index.php/pte-mobile/. The book came out pretty neat using Vellum software. Never used vellum before but looking at this video, gave me an idea to format easily.
Nice! I've just purchased a Mac Air, primarily for Vellum. Yours is the first tutorial I've watched. I'm ready to get started! Thank you.
Thank you for this fantastic video! I took the plunge and purchased it and am having a blast putting together my novel.

Thanks for sharing! Very helpful.
This helped me out so much, thank you!
Great video. Thanks, Natasha. Can see why Vellum is worth the investment over the freebies.

Thank you for this video! How did you create the bundle image?
This was SO helpful, thank you for the walk through!!
side note! Love the cover for the book Bionic bug! Thank you very much for the video. You make it look so easy. Im definitely getting Vellum now
Thank you so much!

how do you create an amazing interior? I've seen some amazing interiors created with Vellum. So when the book is printed its on the pages.
Tanks for giving information madam... and keep do your work more on latest E-Book....
You did an amazing job! Thank you for sharing!!
What about the back cover and spin artwork.

How do you change the style of break lines?
Hi Melvin - I'm not sure if I understand what you're asking. Can you clarify?
Why use Vellum if you use Scrivener? It does the exact same things you did in this tutorial for Vellum.
It certainly can. The difference is the time element. Something always goes off in Scrivener if you don't have the text formatted precisely. So, you spend hours trying to get to grips with the compiler settings.
