Im 20 years old and i own a 1988 GT, fixing it up at the moment. But this car has recently become my dream car. I will one day own a 1993 Cobra, mark my words.
HI TrOlLkInGs14, Glad to read you're enjoying your 1988 GT and hope it comes out the way you want it. Hope you're behind the wheel of your 1993 Cobra soon, Lou
The 93 Mustang SVT Cobra is my favorite Fox Body Mustang and my favorite performance car of the 90's. 240 horsepower was a big number for that era and they responded really well to aftermarket performance mods
In 2005 I payed 17.500 bucks for my 93 cobra fast forward to 2019 the car is 40grand easy and I think it will continue to rise.I wish there was a 93 cobra registry like they have with the shelbys.I love too know how many of the 4993 SVT Cobras are left.I dare say half of the original car's are gone and every time I see a modified version I thank the owner because it is only making my 93 more rare and increasing the value.
I had an 89 Mustang LX 5.0 and a 95 Mustang GT convertible. Both 5 speeds and I put headers and dual Flowmaster Super 40's on both of them. Pretty quick little cars and very reliable too. The Ford 302 was always a really good engine
Very nice fox body. This and the next gen were so nice to drive.......below 60 MPH. Also after many years I have concluded Fords V8's sound so good even better than a LT.
Nice looking Mustang! Really pretty teal, I like it a lot. I like the spoiler, it's a nice touch, gives it a bitta zip. I like the wheels design. My fav part is the Cobra emblems, very "bad" lookin just like they should be! It sounds good too. I enjoyed the video n story, thanks!
I own a 1983 GT 4 eyed fox. Mine was sold new in Texas has zero rot a 5 speed with a/c and black and grey interior. My personal preference is the older 4 headlights foxbody, I never have the back seat up, I only run it as 2 buckets in the front and yes it's a 4bbl car still without the factory electrical fuel pump. These are just super fun cars to drive, it even has the 140mph speedometer.

I love this one Lou! I love the fox body the color is really pretty! I love those wheels and the options just like I would like it to be. He takes awesome care of that car! Sounded nice not real throaty very mellow. He sure had a treasure there! Thanks for sharing this with us Lou!
The 93 cobra has jumped up in value by a lot of money. My vibrant red 93 cobra is almost perfect condition and I literally have a list of people that wants to by the car.
Lou Costabile Thanks ppreciate dat & u do a fairly good job at findin rare gems dat I love to see. I was born in late '86 but I really missed da golden age of vehicles by roughly 40+ years. Today's vehicles(majority) r truly nothin but electric razors smfh.😔
My vibrant red 93cobra has 20thousand original miles with just exhaust and in 05 I payed 17.500 for my cobra and today I been offered 40grand and it's not for sale. But I bet my life on it come 10years from now a clean low miles untouched will be 75grand and up .As of the 93Rs there already over a 100grand.Recently a 93 4 sold for a 132grand and new they were 35grand new.Now that's a great investment lol
Hey Lou if you find a 2009 model year mustang with a glass top that is a one year only body style, they were called G-top mustangs. Just a little added trivia for ya
93 wasn't the best year of the fox if you didn't get a cobra. They went back to hypereutectic pistons and hp was down from previous years. Cobras are cool but if you are buying another model go for a 90-92.
@@loucostabile yah I feel guilty enough sometimes after modding my 93 even though I probably personaly wouldn't enjoy it with a stock engine. The worst unreversable things Ive done were rolling the lips in on the rear inner fenders for wheel clearance and recently adding an Anderson power pipe and chopping a hole in the inner fender for it, that kinda hurt. My blower and everything else can be removed and put back to stock though. I definitely think the 93 cobras should definitely be left un molested. So good on him for having more self control than myself.
I nearly bought the same color SVT Cobra in 1993, it too was fully loaded including the rare(for this era of Fox bodies) CD player stereo. It's MSRP was over $22,000(quite a lot back then for a Fox body). I really wanted a black one, but none were to be found at the time since they were very limited production cars. I bought a truck instead :-)
Kenneth White Well, in retrospect, of course, but at the time, not really. The truck served it purpose admirably and at the time the Cobra would've been a daily driver. I was in my late twenties at the time and the car would've suffered proportionately IMO. A Cobra spared is how I look back at it 😉

I'm surprised that Lou didn't talk more about the rare color, teal, that this car was ordered from the Factory! All 1993 SVT Cobras are rare but this color is awesome! Also, I'm really surprised that the owner changed out the rear tail lights to the older 84-86 Mustangs. He must have hated the louvered taillight design so much because the rest of his vehicle is bone stock!! Nice to see this beauty with such low miles.
Hi Kenneth White, Although the color is rare, there was another one same color next to it so I thought I'd pass on that detail :-) Glad you enjoy this one, Lou
Klasse Act dude he said if you listen, "they are stock taillights from the 1984-1986 generation of mustangs". I know my cars and that was NOT the stock taillights for a 1993 Mustang. SVT Cobra or not. 2:16 exact moment of conversation.
Shakerhood69 they used the 1984-1986 taillights on the 1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra? Absolutely not. If you actual listen to the video, Lou points out this change and the owner States verbally that he put those 1984-1986 units on his car. Does everyone not listen?
Yes, those tail lights belong on that car, they came from the Factory that way. Yes, Ford first used them on the 80s SVO too, the snake on the side was also used on late 70s Mustang Cobra. Do yourself a favor and Google 1993 Cobra, they only came in Red, Black, and Teal and never had the cheesegrater tails.
I like these cars I had a few fox body ,but they weren't that special ,I would have beat the shit out it ,that's what they were made for not yo store in some damn garage

Beautiful color for such a nice car. I liked this year car, as much as the 1977 Mustang Gia, with the half vinyl top and 302 v-8.

Glad you think this one's "Cool" :-)
How did you get a copy of the original sticker?
Not sure how the Care Taker received that.

Not sure.
I couldn't own a 93 cobra because the allure to mod is too strong for me. I have a 93 notch back.
