Did anyone else feel DeMar's appearance was pretty lame? What did I just watch?
Listen, I know it's an off-season pro-am. But dude literally was standing or walking around most of the game, looking disinterested like it was pre-game warmups. He gave almost 0% on defense, no hustle whatsoever, slapping at the ball and going "fuck it."
Let's say we forgive the non-existent defense. Yet, on offense, he looked lazy and sloppy most of the game. You see him dribbling the clock away and: passing the ball when it's too late, turning it over, or going to a mid-range (mostly missed) or pump-fake to get to the line. Honestly hard to watch, but I was hoping for redeeming moments. If you're going to play like you don't give a shit, at least give us some highlights -- and they never happened.
He dragged his team down and they won IN SPITE of him. They have a superior team and probably would've won handily without him.
But I guess he brings more publicity to the Drew League Foundation, so that's good

Anything more than that is generally reserved for the Olympics or FIBA qualifiers. Hopefully, this helps rebuild the image of stars like Kyrie Irving, who walked into the Drew for the first time and posted a triple double.

They are most certainly NOT going to put forth the same effort as amateur Drew Leaguers. They'll save their best for the league that pays them millions. 🏀🏆💰
