- Welcome to Among Us! It's a simple deception game. As crewmates, we have to complete a set of tasks before the impostors can win. The impostors must sabotage and take out crew mates in order to stop them from completing their tasks. No communication is allowed during the actual rounds. Once a body has been discovered or an emergency meeting is called, we can discuss our accounts of what happened. Then we try to vote the likely impostors off the ship. This game is SO MUCH FUN. I was just going to watch the video in peace. Then the musical number happened.
First-round Sheriff shots, lying, musical numbers, and chaotic laughter-what more could someone ask for during a Christmas special? What a fantastic lobby and video this was! I'll long treasure the memory of working with chat to help write that song and all the fun we had along the way! Thank you, Ze, for two hours of Christmas goodness which hopefully brightens the days of so many, just as it did mine!

They should either change the function of Miner to this or make a new role for it, where an imposter can use every vent as if they're connected like Mira. Could be funny

I love watching people playing Blood On the Clocktower. It is like Town of Salem but you aren't punished for dying other then only having one vote for the rest of the game. In fact a lot of the roles special abilities only trigger when they die. I would love to watch Ze and the rest try playing. Check out thepandemoniuminstitute, No Rolls Barred, and Blood on the Clocktower.

Looks like single games might be a bit long, but also looks like the above description is super accurate.
That said, it also means that whoever wants to be Storyteller also needs to get a copy or have access to one, but everyone just playing can play with a Storyteller.
Definitely looks like something people would be interested in. 5-20 players + the Storyteller recommended, I think?
(Storyteller is essentially the centerpiece role, you get to make decisions like your the Director in a Left 4 Dead game, without being on either side really)
Theres even roles meant for people who show up mid-game, causing twists in the story not many will predict! It seriously looks awesome.
@@Crystalorbie They also have scripts for shorter games. They have one script called Riot that is meant to be so short they can add it to play when the main game didn't take as long as expected.
@@weathermage301clapp2 OOOOh cool! One thing I noticed is that the site only has 3/7 scripts overall, and didn't seem to mention Riot.
I guess its a sub script in each main one then? Or is it one of the other 4 scripts they have/had planned when the site was last updated?

I still think that if you're pretty sure you're about to get a traitor because you know all the killers, it's better to keep one killer alive as crew and force them to thin the herd until you can no longer get a traitor, because you take guessing out of the equation. You don't have to figure out who the killer is, you simply know.
Granted, that may take the fun out of it for some people, which is fair enough as it's own reason to not do so.

That is some wild weather variation, wowee. I hate when the weather goes from below freezing to warm where I live, because we get a lot of snow and the warm weather turns it all to slushy water that refreezes into ice at night. Not quite the winter wonderland of my childhood any more heh.

I know it’s now already after Christmas, but I wonder if it’s possible to mod the game so your win condition is tied to someone else doing their tasks?
Then you could have everyone randomly assigned one of their fellow crewmates (except for the imposters of course) and to “deliver their present” you have to so sth like finish your tasks. once youve done that, their win conditions turn into survivor and they win even with the imposters.
To make it less boring I’d probably keep some of the Town of Us roles?
If your target dies you get some kind of power to get revenge on the person who killed them.
I havent figured out what happens when your gift giver dies, though…
(keep in mind this is just 4am brainstorming because Ze mentioned Among Us secret santa. but this could work for other occasions too)
i realize that probably makes no sense to anyone unless they live in my brain (in which case- what are you doing in there man?) so i’ll have to reword it when i’m not literally falling asleep on the spot

that would be nice addition for town of us. Something like a mode where everyone startes as crewmate exept for 'Santa' as a neutral role. Santa could leave presents that crewmates can open to get a random role. santa himself can get a normal role if every one alse has gotten one.

A lot of the US had crazy weather this week, wind chill was 20 below 0 where I am, after being 50+ the day before. That's roughly the same jump as yours.

OH MY GOD, ARE WE TALKING ABOUT _AMERICA ON-LINE?!_ Intentionally melodramatic reaction for effect aside, I don't think anyone took those CDs they sent in the mail seriously. Always as useless junk. AOL, predecessor to AIM, MSN IM, Yahoo! IM, etc. Pagers were near universally used, FAX was still mainstream, PDAs did not mean Public Displays of Affection but rather Personal Data Assistant (or something like that, basically a tablet before a tablet), and emojis were Emoticons. Dial-Up was still normal, and DTV was not yet a term as it was still just local access to all as it was the norm. Ah... the good old days!
