@@toastghost9145 aye. Acting is mostly about natural ability and not so much training (although improv and drama class/ theater def helps!). Some musicians were able to naturally act in movies at ease without much training. He simply never had a chance to show off his talents until he found D&D :)
Watching Töm go on a complete power trip live was so entertaining! This style of DM’ing won’t appeal to everyone, but by God I am enjoying the stream. Keep it up guys!

I think the best part was seeing him play normal Nails inbetween power trips. Going back and forth on personality modes is some good RPing.

Well, he didn't even fake-roll a save for Nails twice. When we know Evil Matt isn't adverse to fudging rolls for narrative. Plus, I know the players weren't supposed to be privy to a certain section of a campaign diary, but Anna is the internet eyes for MCDM. She has to have seen something by now. Especially with Matt posting Spock silver eyes on the net a few times. Add to that the Muad'dib Voice.
Not saying metagaming, because she said nothing until this. Which is fairly obvious, IMHO.
This was probably the best episode so far. Tom, not Tom, Tom, rocked it hard but srsly, I think it is visible that the whole crew becomes progressively more confident in roleplaying their characters. One thing tho and it's a minor thing you can totally ignore - I didn't really like the break-fadeout, somehow it was much cooler seeing you guys at the table during the break, talking, taking five and so on. It reinforced this "you're watching a home game between friends you yourself might one day run" feeling. Anyhow, this show is getting better one episode at a time, keep it up!

When Matt as Buts does the salute (one hand grasping the other wrist,) I smiled large. It was the same idea I had for the Chain's salute. Like a chain or manacle around the wrist. Great minds think alike.

Töm's doing great in the spotlight! I know they'll all get their character moments, and even now they're starting to get more comfortable, but man! Glad they kept doing the silver shades and added the echo mic. I hope Nails remembers at least a little of what happens, or maybe reads it in the Chronicle. Also glad Buts got un-sploded. xD
I feel like the music is a little too loud and distracting in this episode. And to be clear I normally like the Timerider.

Yeah. I like it, but it was too loud for "background" effects. Sometimes made it hard to hear,other times just made it noisy.
Yea it was pretty loud toward hour three. Actually gave me headaches trying to hear people speak over the Timerider.

He views the events in relative silence for a huge portion of the conversation and then 54:37 Copper chimes in. That was so great! The quiet wit of Tom playing Copper is brilliant. It earned a like on this episode.

Props to Töm (not Tom) for going with the flow so well while Matt is doing wild stuff with his character... made for some fantastic, tense, RP scenes
3 years of "Hey everybody, Matt Colville here!". A kickstarter, a supplementary book and a stream. This journey will hopefully last a long time.
I can safely say by this 4th episode that I am glad to see you all in action with your the differences in character development, the roleplaying, the one-liners but all with the same warm, down to earth "familiar" feeling. I bet this is as inspiring and chuckle-inducing for the rest of the viewers as it is for me. I would have loved to be able to watch the stream but it starts at 5 a.m. in my time zone. It's god's work (dm's work? nails' work?) that these are being uploaded here.
Can't wait to see what happens next.

The look on Phil's face almost throughout the entire episode was priceless but the finale was fascinating, I kept waiting for his reaction but that is what gobsmacked looks like

The mood music is cool, but consider turning down the volume, there were lots of times when all I could hear was a squealing noise.
This is the most succinct comment I've seen yet. It's great and probably sounded great to the players, but it's too loud to be effective ambiance.

I have to agree. The music drowned out the crew at times, and was distracting from the actual content more than contributing at that volume.

Great RP from Nails, Judge and Sweet this session. Episode 4 really stepped things up a notch.
18:44 I had this on my second monitor as I did some work and when I heard this I literally looked up from what I was painting and said "FUCKING AAAYYEE! YES! INVICTUS!!". Under the bludgeoning of chance, my head is bloodied, but unbowed!!! One of my favorite poems so dope they named a class ability after that part. Sweet's character goes well with the themes of that poem.
Just fyi, it's not a class made by Matt. The illrigger is but not the pugilist.

I absolutely love that they give absolutely no fks about loot and stuff, they are just full bore on story fight and nails.
Music & background sounds are causing issues with the rest of your audio. Sometimes bad echoing. Often the music/sounds makes it hard to hear the players.

1 note: I'm sensitive to certain tones, so it might just be me, but the music got a little sharp and very loud at a few points. It made me glad I wasn't wearing headphones, at the time.

The Sorcerer version of the Evocation Wizard AoE spell-shaping, Careful Spell, which just causes a number of creatures in the radius of the Sorcerer’s spell equal to his/her Cha modifier to automatically succeed on the Saving Throw for that spell. Meaning that unless it is specifically a Dex save and the chosen creature(s) has/have Evasion, then they will take half damage.

I’ve had DMs act like they couldn’t laugh and joke around with players, like they had to be “above it” or whatever. I’m so relieved that someone like Colville is still laughing and having fun and not having Gravitas the whole time.

Yes, I still laugh at butt jokes and fart jokes and I am in my thirties. I do not apologize.
Just a slight niggle that I have (I genuinely love you guys! It's just constructive criticism) is that some people are just rolling and then telling Matt "I hit that guy for X damage" without saying what they are doing or giving any flavour/context to their action or even naming the action they are doing. I know it's probably just because some of the guys are experienced playing with Matt and have streamlined their game down to remove as much extraneous fluff as possible. But it can make it confusing for those watching at home as 'we' don't know what action they did, and numerous damage calls without any context or flavour can be a bit boring to watch.

Glad to hear about the assistance with improving the sound. Love to watch, but have to listen via podcast for much of the show and am sometimes having difficulty hearing the players. Other than that minor nit, I look forward to my weekly fix.
