Och, ist ganz einfach mit der 190 langsamer zu werden... solang du nicht über 500 fliegst, haust du einfach die Landeklappen raus( *und trimmst dann als hängt dein Leben davon ab!* ) und voilà. Jedenfalls sollte das so möglich sein laut technischer Dokumentation der 190'er, k.A. ob's in 1946 auch der Fall ist. Wenn das immer noch zu schnell sein sollte, Roberth hat die bewährte Waschmaschinen-Technik schon vorgemacht. Und wenn's ganz schnell gehen muss, dann ziehst du dir einfach den Knüppel in den Magen, lässt die Kiste ne Schnapprolle machen und "kurbelst" dabei die Kampfklappen raus. Aber vorher sichergehen das man das Abfangen von der Sache innerhalb von maximal 5 Sekunden verinnerlicht hat, sonst wird's ein Fall von plötzlicher, explosiver Lithosphären-Bremsung... was zwar auch den Zweck des langsamer werdens hervorragend erfüllt, aber eben der Wiederverwendung von Pilot und Flugzeug abträglich ist, und das mag die Luftwaffe nicht so... andererseits, wenn einem das passiert ist einem die Meinung der Luftwaffe danach auch egal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Da hast du einige Möglichkeiten aufgezählt aber ich glaube die effizienteste Möglichkeit ist das "Slippen", wie es Killerfliege gemacht hat... da hab ich in der Situation gar nicht dran gedacht.
30:44 Das ist noch die Beta Karte. Ich hatte einige Texturen übrig und diese dann Pink oder schwarz gefärbt (Sieht man besser). Aus den Texturen wollte ich irgendwas für das Küsten Terrain basteln. Ist nicht schädlich für den Rechner, kann aber Augenkrebs verursachen :-D Es wird auch gemunkelt, dass man bei übermäßiger Betrachtung der pinken Texturen Probleme bei der Landung bekommt ;-)

And is there any reason to be playing 1946 as opposed to the newer titles, is it better in any way? Thanks!
It is still a great title. Tons of replayability and content which is only reinforced by a great modding community that further increases this. To fly with others though, you would probably have to find a group. If you wanted someone to fly with, LoganTheLlama is my steam name

amount of aircraft, maps, mods: especially the full mission editor is better than IL-2 CloD or IL-2 BoS. You have quite a bit of variability. It still surpasses the newer flightsim-generation. E.g.: Nighthunts with Radar and C&C. Amount of weapons. Combat boxes, etc. Of course the grafics in CloD ond Great Battles are much better, but you have less content. I play this game since 11-12 years now ^^ half my life xD
*Actually* , since this could be the Fw 190 A-7 model instead of the A-8 model, it *IS* possible that they find a group without escorts. The A-7 was produced from November 1943, the same month that the P-51B/C/D models started escorting long range bomber missions. There is a small gap where the A-7 already operates as interceptor but the Mustang doesn't already fly as escort... or only for the long range missions, which this one wasn't. In fact, this would be considered a rather small bomber attack... two formations only? That's a tertiary importance target at most. Anyway, at this point in time the US squadrons would just be in the process of converting to the Mustang, and the P-47 or P-38 or Spitfire escorts that might have been with the bombers would have turned back soon after they hit the coastline. Of course, another P-47/P-38/Spitfire escort group would be inbound to take over the escort duty, but those often only got to "their" bombers *after* they hit the target already, and the Luftwaffe got *reeeally* good at hitting the bombers right after the first escort group flew home, and getting out of there before the second escort group arrives. Long story short, it *IS* indeed possible for this exact scenario to have occured... but the timeframe for it is very very very short, a week long at most.
It's supposed to be in early '43, there were no escorts on the early Wilhemshaven raid. By the way, SD501st, many of your comments got automatically put into the spam folder, i tried to fix that.

Although the P51 got most of the praise over Germany and the occupied countries, it was the P47 that killed the most German pilots and planes. Even the P38 could take on the best the Luftwaffe had. Yes the P51 had long legs but having a liquid cooled engine made it fragile to battle damage to the engine.
There is a jet that Germany produced at the very end of the war, the Soviets and the US used the plans to produce the Mig-15 and F-86 Sabre. Can't you guys make the same mission with those German jets?

Once we figured out the weaknesses of the A6M, the Zero was no longer an acceptable fighter. Then enter the Hellcat Sept 1943.
