This is pop, but it is quality, artisanal pop. Samantha Fish is the solidest act I know. She sings this way IRL. The guitar is all her. She doesn't own a capo, or a whammy bar. Her highest tech is a pedal to get the tone right. She wrote the song and the lyrics. She can walk up on stage with nothing but an acoustic guitar and hold your attention for a straight hour and a half with no backup. The costume is a facade covering something infinitely more impressive.
actually i'd argue that some songs on this album (and kill or be kind) are very rock

But her talent is second to none. I grew up on classic blues and classic rock, my dad was a huge blues guitar fan. I grew up on Alvin Lee, Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix, SRV and Howling Wolf. And Samantha can stand in that ring of fire and hold her own. 🔥🔥🔥
I've seen her open for KWS, solo and with Jesse Dayton and she is the STAR ⭐. She is the total package. Beautiful, Talented and seems very genuine and sweet as a person. I'd be jealous if I wasn't so besotted with her. 🥰

I really love the tone that Samantha Fish gets out of that white Gibson SG. Her guitar solos just kick ass.
Probably my favorite track on the Faster Album. I love the whole album... So refreshing to see an artist that can put out an entire album that is amazing track by track. All Killer, No Filler! But this song in particular is sassy, saucy and has a wicked groove. Samantha sure knows how to write a hook.

Samantha Fish is an amazing talent. She has the best guitar shredding sex appeal in the business on top of putting out great music. Had the pleasure of catching her show at Billy Bob’s in Ft. Worth earlier this year. I will certainly see more of her shows in the future.

I always thought Bonnie Raitt is great but Samantha Fish takes the cake when it comes to playing blues rock.
I like Samantha, always have. I can see that she's breaking off from her old style, delta blues. I understand that artist need to change to evolve, it doesn't mean I have to like her new music, I like the old stuff better. I'm still a fan though
I feel the same way, I think this is okay but its not what I fell in love with her music for, but in the end if she feels the need to change in all for it. Some fans think you shouldnt criticize her music when it changes, I think if your a fan and the artist you loved for blues music stops playing blues music criticizing it is kind of inevitable. I still am a fan and faster is a good song.

I don't mind an artist trying new things I think they have to, but ill never understand why they do it with a whole album, just make two or three tracks of blues songs experiment with the rest. Faster is good all of them are good or at least okay but its not what made me fall in love with her music.
Voice still awesome. Still the same musical prowess. But, this stab at mainstream is a mistake. Her success doesnt lie with formula or trends, it lies with her originality and roots. This is Megan Trainor level crap, sorry, it just is. Put that guitar and singing with a blues backbone back into the forefront and she'll cement her legacy. Keep this up though and she'll be a "tried and missed".
