I have been saying this for a while now! Thank you for adressing this! With people being able to customize their own servers, there are so many fun ecosystems that can be created with the dinosaurs that are given to us!
They were also talking about extinction events meaning certain dinosaurs can’t be played for a while when to many die at a time which will also give a reason for players to want to nest because that will apparently lower the extinction risk
I will not deny that I find it so disappointing that among 60+ species and like 5 of them there are not even dinosaurs but the Iguanadon is not planned in the game Imagine that it was a Hadrosaur that in weight ranges between the Paraselaphosaurus and the Shantongosaurus that is the Brawler of the Hadrosaurs Boxing to the death against Acros and yeeting with both front legs to any dinosaur half his weight that is dumb enough to stand in front of the Iguanadon
On the 2 flyers issue: here is what I hypothesized if they only want to add one more flyer. Tropeognathus around the weight of a herrera, which can eat rotten corpses to fill the flying scavenger niche, and have a bleeding bite that would be good for dogfighting. Slower than pt, but quetz would have to fear groups of these in the sky. To balance the bleed, make its bite NOT vertical. As in it cannot bite below itself yk?

Can I just say I had the same exact idea, with tropeognathus, so hopefully the devs hear you out on this one, it would very intesting to see a bunch of tropes trying to pull a larger dino like dibble or teno off a cliff like eagles do with goats, or have them dive in the water to catch elite fish, not to mention something that can hunt ptera in the sky, like imagine playing the isle and while shits going down on land you see a dogfight between some pteras and tropeos hunting them, and even a quetz being like the rex of the skies, its would add even more depth/immersion to the world than there already is

The dev time is slow because the lead dev is someone with little game development or design experience as well as no experience leading or organizing a dev team and it shows constantly in their work
I dont agree with having 65 playables but it dont even matter when over half of them get one shot by the apexs. We dont need apexs. We dont need growth. Growth is a band aid solution that was used to “fix” legacys dookie balance and it just stuck around. Also fliers arent great because they dont do anything, there glorified spectator mode. Ptera scav ai but you can play it 💀
except that server owners will be able to customize their roster, so they can remode/add playables from their server i bet even Official servers will have some species disabled
In my opinion roster bloat is somewhat is an issue, like there is no point in having carchar and giga at the same time. There is no point on having Cory, I'd even say having Ava, Magy, Minmi, Mono, Rugops and Protoceratops as playables. In my opinion either make them AI only on officials or split some of them, so like; you either enable Giga or Charchar, Para or Cory etc.

The video and all of the things that u said about roaster i can agree with but when u was saying about quetz and ptera u said that ptera is tiny and hell and thats true snd then u said that quetz is around apex tier and that theres no midle ground betwen them but ptera i dont remember but weights about 20- 40 kg and quetz is only 150-240 probably because they are ceaping the game realistic and that was the weight of adult quetz in real life when u said that Good medtier for flyers whould be tropeo but he wasnt much bigger the ptera but i still think same as u about there should be more flyers in evrima.
Do you think you could talk about how Deino gameplay is going down hill? Ontop of the map changing the land is becoming drop off cliffs, and evey 200 feet water sections are cut off making it have to move to land just to almost dehydrate to get anywhere. Elite fish are now impossible to catch, with starving right around the corner from water mutation (water draining slower for other dinos meaning less chance to catch food)
I disagree almost completely with what your saying. The games roster is better off being cut down to save time and resources. Modders can add new creatures in the future when that becomes available. Having them waste so much time on duplicate creatures for no one to play them is a bad idea. I play path of titans on a community server with most of the creature mods and a lot of the mods that get put on don't get used (along with most of the vanilla roster). With a lot of them over shadowing each other it makes it to where the roster feels shallow because you don't see every creature just the ones people play. 2:34 Needs a citation cause you're the only one on youtube saying that.
The developers have literally started themselves that not every creature will be available on official servers. And how would it be taking up time and resources if they just continue adding creatures after they complete what they want for the base game? 💀
Thing is, if they allow modding on such a game, it will ruin completely the whole vibe of the game, look at fkn PoT, they got 10 different acros 10 different dinosaurs pseudo dragon shi, it looks bad, breaks the game, annoying to download 5gb each time i have to play on unofficials, makes stuff unbalanced as fuck since people (modders)don't care and just want to see their fav dino slap ass and it just does not make sense

This may also be why you’d want to choose a mate with better mutations to ensure the Dino can survive

Old map wasn't good for other playables and mutations will make it easier for deinos to travel via land and ocean
