    Feel you.
    Took a break from most street photography and went to very basic nature photography since I am hiking a lot. The connection piece has ended up being myself. Reconnecting with myself via nature has been an interesting journey. Good work Jack! 👍

    This channel has really pushed me to consider how cinema is framed through the lens of a photographer, which has been great! Taking small elements and trying to incorporate them into my creative process. The Bear is a wonderful show; it is exciting to hear it get discussed in this light.
    Also, I admit I only ever shoot my Xt4 in single point autofocus, ha ha.

      As you can tell I love the bear too! Can’t watch it just before bed though, too much adrenaline haha. Single point AF is the way to go with Fuji, no firmware update needed if that’s all we use

    Another very interesting video. Never really looked at video work as a source of inspiration for still photography. I like the use of the telephoto lens to get a different emotional response.
    Looking forward to your next video on the 28mm as I am considering picking one up before my trip to Japan.
    Keep up the good work.

      @@BokehTherapy Even better. Really looking for something to capture the architecture of Tokyo and those amazing side streets. Don’t want to lug around my f2.8 zoom. My Leica use has me reaching for my Z8 more often than my Z9 for shoots that require the autofocus speed.

    Great video. Both the Sirui 75 and The Bear are on my list. I'm very picky with bokeh and fringing, but given the price, 1.2 aperture, reach and weight, I couldn't fault any of the images the lens (and you) produced in this video. For just over €300 and under 500g, you get a mix of an 85mm f1.8 and 135mm f1.8 portrait lens, as well as a bit of a light-weight 70-200 alternative that can work for city and landscapes. 70-200 is more versatile of course, but is it light & cheap enough to go into the bag for the casual street & travel photographer?
    I wouldn't use this as my first or only prime, but pair it with a standard zoom or a 35mm, and it can really enhance the perspective on a scenery. I'm glad Sirui made this because no matter how perfect the Viltrox 75 or some full frame 135s are, at 700g and above, it's just too heavy for me. If Fuji ever made a 75 f1.4 or 1.8 with a smaller body and linear motors, they'd sell a ton of them.

      @BokehTherapy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Glad all the images gave you a reference point - it is a very light weight lens for the distinct look. We are spoilt for options as mirrorless shooters these days, thanks for watching!

    Great video! When I use the 56mm APS-C lens I have I struggle shooting street. Maybe one day I’ll get it down. Also great videos. Love the way you have narrative videos with photography. It’s a style the inspires me and I hope I can emulate it as well as you do. One day 😂

    • @BokehTherapy
      @BokehTherapy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      TTArtisan is full frame and more vintage rendering, this Sirui is APS-C and more modern. For the Zf I’d go with the TTartisan. Thanks for watching!

    At 75mm on a Fuji camera, make a project on Street portraits. Capture the feeling expressed thru the faces of every day living. It would be challenging, but what projects worth it are easy! Get out and shoot!!!

    Is it too much to ask to be wanted? By others? Yes, yes it is. You can't control people, and being manipulative is evil. Validation can only come from within you.
    Steps:
    Find what's important to YOU to bring to the world (cinematic street photography);
    Find your audience (Galleries/Local businesses/Stock/TH-cam);
    ASK them what they want to see or buy (Research);
    Propose your offer;
    Provide your product/art/service;
    Get paid, get attention (but only so you can give more of yourself to you and hence the world)
    Don't ever desire to be wanted by others; want yourself (know yourself) first, get yourself, and go from there.

      @BokehTherapy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks Steve, I am not seeking validation for my photography per se because I’m fortunate enough to just do it for fun! It is workplace culture I was trying to speak to, especially one that many colleagues of mine across many fields are struggling with. Employees are not treated with much dignity in this day and age, only way out is to build something for yourself. Thanks for sharing and watching!

    • @steveh8658
      @steveh8658 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BokehTherapy I understand. Yes, building something for yourself (and your community) is so much easier to do on your own these days. Technology allows us to be very effective one-man-bands. The issue is the so-called security that other peoples' businesses provide. The more employees that decide to strike out on their own, the more those ignorant businesses will struggle. We are seeing that happen now in many fields. I always advise getting your own business started part-time before leaving employment.
