Nice summary. Yes it looks an intriguing product. I've often wondered why something like this has not been on the market earlier given the technology is not groundbreaking. I guess inertia on the part of existing manufacturers. I hope Benro make a success of this as it will give all the other suppliers a major rocket to up their game

@@graemefryer6227 They might just be overwhelmed with all the comments after a succesfull campaign. On Indiegogo they are saying shipments will start in September 2021. Try emailing them if you can't reach Benro on social media.
@@VISUALTHIRST well they have released an app showing how polaris will be controlled but disappointing to see that only some named stars, constellations and planets listed for deep sky. No nebula, galaxies etc. Also their shipping at 100 units a pop seems very slow.
@@graemefryer6227 I know there’s a global shortage on various materials because of the pandemic. This affects many manufacturers. What comes to the app I hope they’ll continue developing it based on requests 👌
when the full review of this automated tripod is going to be official? . I would like to see the deep detail of how it is functioning espetailly in star tracker mode. Cheers
I believe Benro has only a few working prototypes at the moment and the production will start in May. So the reviews will come in the summer. Now is the chance to pre-order the product at a lower price. I can’t say if the star tracking feature will be accurate enough for hardcore users but I trust Benro being a reputable company has done amazing work with it. Cheers for your comment!
@@VISUALTHIRST Thanks for your reply. Luckily I am not a fan of deep sky astro, The hard core in other word lol. I normally do milky way shoot with wide angle lens so I hope Benro can have that kind of feature to help this polar alignment. By the way, IMO it will be hard for a lot of people to pre-order in this stage as Beoro is launching a few advertise videos which tell the user very general info of the product , not in depth at all.

Usually at the prototype face the product isn’t completely ready but they are sure that they can get all the features promised working in the final product. There is always a small risk in pre-order but I believe in this product and that’s why I made the video because I think it will be amazing!
