I tried going vegetarian on and off since my teens but I always failed to do it longterm. So I did research on a vegan lifestyle watched What the Health for the health arguments, Earthlings, Cowspiracy for the Ethics and I have also seen Erin Jaun's exposing the truth regards the chicken, eggs and dairy industry and decided to go vegan for a month and decided after the month to continue the lifestyle and now this is my second year being a ethical vegan. I also did research on PETA UK and the Vegan Society and Viva ( an animal rights organisation in the UK). I am still vegan for the animals, the environment and my health. I only regret not doing it sooner. Great to hear your vegan journey story. Go vegan!
I swear, our stories are so similar. I grew up on a meat and potatoes diet and always had issues eating so many types of meat but, I just kept doing it. It's crazy to me that on December 27th, 2106 I went to dinner at outback, on January 1st, 2017 I went vegetarian, and on March 19th, 2017 I went vegan. I'm so happy now to be able to say that what I eat doesn't negatively impact any other living things. Thanks for this one 💜
Veganism for the win! I gotta say, this big uproar in the vegan community is definitely something. I feel like it's very confusing with this time of big vegan influences suddenly saying they aren't vegan anymore, and we are seeing some vegans being very hateful towards these people. On the other hand, I feel like I am really seeing the compassionate vegans that inspire me to want to be better. I want to put my voice out there. I want the world to know that I'm vegan and what I stand for. Also, I watched the VV response to Bonny Rebecca. While I appreciated all three of the girl's opinions and responses, I must say, Hannah's is the one I aligned with the most. In the end, we all want to be compassionate. We all want to save the world. I'm so proud to have been and to be a part of this movement
You are a beautiful soul... never apologize for being vulnerable and sharing your truth. It's inspiring for this world. I hear all these TH-camrs say that they had health issues and that's why they left veganism but everyone forgets that MORE people eating meat and dairy have health issues. Health issues are a part of life and every diet when things are out of balance. It could simply be stress... it could be one flipping mineral... it is not a vegan thing. When people chase perfection, they will lose their way. When we align our mind body and spirit, we will find peace. Much love!
Thanks for sharing your story. No need to apologize for any tears. It’s appropriate for a compassionate normal person to feel horror, despair, and sadness when seeing the facts of animal agriculture. It’s heartbreaking. It’s nightmare fuel. I hope for a future where we no longer enslave animals for food purposes (or for any reason). May All Beings Be Happy! ☮️❤️🌏
You are so lucky to have a Vegan partner! When I met my husband I was a longtime vegetarian and I have been Vegan for four years now. He definitely eats less meat and dairy but still hasn't commited to going fully Vegan. I hope he will someday.
I loved this so much! I live in Kentucky and I’m still in high school and I don’t know any other vegans in real life. A lot of times I really forget why I’m doing what I’m doing because it is hard to be the only one all the time, to be made fun of and have to go out of my way to follow the lifestyle I know is right. This video is probably one of my favorites I’ve ever seen. It was so truthful and raw and not hateful like a lot of others can be. Thanks for making videos! Smaller vegan communities like this one help me a lot to stay connected to what I’m doing. You’re amazing!! 💕💕💕
What a beautiful video. Thanks for sharing your wonderful journey with us. Just searched for “Why I’m still vegan” videos and so glad I stumbled upon your channel. Consider me a permanent subscriber. I’m vegan for five years now and never felt better. What a touching, heart warming story you have. Inspiring indeed. Continued success to you! Thanks so much!
YES!! I was waiting for someone to do this video. I knew I could count on you guys! We needed this type of advocacy! Thank you! Why I am still vegan- because I want to live the best, most kind life possibly; my palate satisfaction is not worth the death of another animal or the environment; and I believe cruelty and apathy to one being fosters cruelty and apathy to all beings! #whyiamstillvegan
Your story is literally mine... except im the only person in my life that's vegan I used to be really bitter that those around me that have gained the same knowledge as me shrugged it off like it was nothing and I cried for 3 days and went vegan on the spot 2 yrs ago. Im still bitter but more accepting of other ppls decisions. My thing now is making delicious vegan meals that they love. And tell myself atleast that's making a difference.
I love this from you girls. I hope these videos become the first thing that comes up when people now search ‘vegan’ on TH-cam. I am still vegan...for the animals, the environment and for myself. My body is a garden not a graveyard.
Thank you for sharing your story. I knew you'd end up tearing up (I did too) because I've seen how compassionate you are when you talk about the ethical side of veganism. I agreed with so much of what you said and I am happy that Jesse was so on board with you to make the switch.
I remember going through the same “frustration” and trying to justify to myself eating animals before I went vegan 4 years ago, and the whole “this doesn’t seem right” mindset; and I also saw vegucated! :-)
Our story is very similar! I was born and raised in Arkansas (unfortunately still here) and when the doctor found out I was sensitive to dairy he told me to continue eating dairy but take a lactaid.. which is just like a repetition of intaking poison and taking antidote. It made no sense to me why I shouldn't just quit eating the things that are "poisonous". In my small town veganism was nonexistent, I didn't even know a diet like that would be sustainable. Flash forward and animal products started to become unappealing to me because of ethical reasons, so I became vegetarian. I saw some improvement but my digestive issues were still there. When I took the vegan leap all of my digestive issues went away. To this day, I have not met another vegan where I live so I truly am thankful for the vegan community here on TH-cam for all the support.
This is a beautiful video! I’ve been mostly vegan for a couple of years now (only eating meat/dairy/eggs when it’s served to me or the occasional fast food meal etc) but something about the emotion in this video just made something click in me and makes me want to make the final step to being 100% vegan. I love you girls and how positive you all are- thank you so much for sharing and being who you are. (Also your shirt is super cute.)
I started becoming vegan for health reasons. I was told I had a pusedotumor condition in my brain and there was no cure and I was supposed to be on this horrible medication everyday for the rest of my life. I took my health into my own hands researched veganism and after 8 months being on whole food plant based diet my condition was gone and I was able to get off medication, my doctors were shocked and told me to keep doing whatever I’m doing. Veganism has changed my life forever and saved my life along with so many other lives.
So good to really hear your story because I didn’t know yours too well besides bits and pieces on vegan view. I also really really believe vegan has always been in my heart. SO many seeds planted. I cut out red meat first too. Then I bought “organic free range” chicken, turkey, and fish lol for about a year. What The Health was the one that changed me and then I researched soooooooo much too.
Meso Hony not a cult. There is no leader, no consequences, no one to force you into it, no meetings etc etc etc. all free will. & yes! I am not sure why some people believe because vegans care about health, animals, and environment we cannot care about more causes. You can be vegan and care about a million other things just like any person. Especially homelessness I am from a very small town and that hits home for me. + my sorority our philanthropy was to help homeless I donated so much money and time for a women’s shelter in Cincinnati. + had first hand scare in late elementary when my dad lost job and cop came to door threatening to take house away if we didn’t make payments and behind on all bills. I know it might seem like maybe vegans only care about vegan things but example youtubers usually have a niche and a brand so it’s better to stay within certain things & animals don’t have a voice so were extra vocal for the voiceless. I’ve always been big into environmental issues, equality, healthcare, women’s rights, and food security as well.
Meso Hony whatever works for you. I know I personally didn’t go vegan overnight. Did a lot of research on it + health side & even then took months to fully transition dairy out. If you are legit being serious and not trolling I have a few videos on my channel about how to incorporate more plant based meals. Perfect for people taking it slow or just wanted to make small steps
Thank you for your story. It made me teary when you cried. :( When ppl eat meat and say they love animals...what they really mean is they love pets. Makes me sad.
I teared up with you, I'm also a softie and it's very good to be empathetic, keep being like that, you earned my sub! Over 5 years vegan here and never looking back! 🌱✌💚
It’s amazing when you finally make the connection between the food on your plate and the animals. Love your story and love that you three all put these together ❤️❤️
I love Vegucated. That helped me make the final switch to veganism as well. I’m sure we have all struggled at some point on our path towards veganism but the important part is that we are here now. Vegan is the future! 💗
hannah, hearing your story is really emotional for me ... i feel like you’re so connected to the animals and something even bigger and i just think “yes yes yes, that’s how it is” and i so share your love for animals .. i could never contribute to it anymore and when i watch you, i see and feel that in you too... i’ve been vegan for 10+ years and it’s just the most obvious thing for me now that animals aren’t food. thank you for your words. love from germany 💝
wow this is amazing. i am so inspired to keep my vegan journey going. i had forgotten the real reason why i became vegan and you reminded me of that. thank you 😊🌱
That's it. I am subscribed!! So glad to hear young generation speaking like you just did!! I went vegan 5 years ago and prior to this I was 31 years vegetarian. Best decision I eve did and will never change my mind. Ever!
I started watching this a while ago, shortly after you posted it. But for whatever reason, I didn’t get to finish it. So I just finished it now. I wanna say a few things: 1- thank you for sharing this. I think it’ll be super helpful to many people on the fence 2- I didn’t realize your boyfriend went vegan with you. I think that’s so sweet, and probably brought you guys even closer together. 3- you are always so light-hearted and smiley, so it was actually nice to see this more serious, compassionate, emotional side of you. I really appreciate how raw and honest you were. 💗💗💗🎀
This is a great story. I also feel a lot of guilt about who I was before veganism. Having a vegan partner/friends is huge -- my husband is also vegan and it is so nice to not have to censor myself around him when I get upset about the treatment of animals. My whyimstillvegan video is very similar to yours.
The south - YES. I’ve been vegetarian since I was 5 and got made fun of soooo much for not eating meat and chowing down on mashed potatoes while everyone else was eating fried chicken 😂 (grew up in Tennessee, now in Iowa)
Courtney Cornett omg that’s so similar to me, I was born in Tennessee too and I went vegetarian when I was 7 then vegan at 11 and now I’m 12 and still vegan:)
Never seen your videos before, but wow, i'm so happy that I did today! I've been feeling so sad after al these negative videos about veganisme, and what you said in this video really really helped me. I hope that many more people will see this video. Thank you
Love that experiment at the store, brilliant design to wake ppl up we need it in every store. Ur dog is too cute.BTW ur vulnerability reflects ur true strength:)
i have been waiting for you to make video like this for a long time, after becoming a "the vegan view" fan, nisha, dani and nicole they all had "why i am vegan videos" and i was very curious about yout story, i am so happy to finally hear it 😍
Thanks for putting yourself out here. It’s hard to be vulnerable on such a public forum. It really comes off that you are coming from a kind, caring, passionate place. People need to see vegans like this. ❤️🌱
I have been transitioning to Veganism for the last 7 months, not fully there yet, but I'm so proud of my progress and all of the things I have learned. I also too started because of digestive issues, first cutting out dairy, then meat which lead me to learn and understand nutrition on a whole other level. I too have always had the "hypocritical" feeling within myself too for loving animals so much. With all that being said, my boyfriend has been tagging along on this vegan journey with me and as a meat and cheese guy is doing really well! However, he's the research guy and found that most Soy farms actually shoot off and kill squirrels, birds and any other wild life that get near their crops. All of the reasons I am trying to become vegan are for health, animals and for the environment. How can these farms that market selling us vegan foods be allowed to kill animals? I was just wondering if you had any insight or more info on this subject.
I want to thank all of you at the Vegan View for making these "Why I'm Still Vegan" videos. I've seen yours and Nicole's so far and you both hit it out of the park. (I'll be watching Nisha's next.) I think it's so important to be reminded from time to time how amazing and meaningful and life changing veganism can be--especially in light of all the "no longer vegan" videos--and these do a wonderful job of that. Thank you.
Thank you for this. I felt the same as a young person but continually pushed these facts away even though I knew the truth. Currently living in alignment with my values! Not going back. It took me a very long time to take a stand. Way to go! 😎❤️
you are so bright and lovely! I don't really watch makeup or beauty videos anymore, I feel like it's focused too much on advertising and consumerism. But I always appreciate the vegan and cruelty free community because it advocates more responsible consumerism in this imperfect world. thank you for telling us your story!!
Thank you for this beautiful video and for being vulnerable in sharing your story and emotional experience. I have been vegan for 2 years, after a couple of years of being vegetarian and flexitarian (meat only on winter holidays). Before that I ate like everyone else, without any thought to what my food choices were and their effect on animals, the environment and my own health. I first became a vegetarian/flexitarian after watching a TED Talk about vegetarianism. It was also somewhat easier to be vegetarian than vegan because I was so concerned about social situations and vegetarianism feels more "acceptable." The more time went on, however, the more I realized that continuing to eat a little bit of meat on holidays and dairy and eggs (even though I believed that those foods were from better sources) was just not working for me. I felt this pull to make further changes. It was gradual, dropping all meat, then dairy, and then eggs. It was really empowering to make those difficult changes in order to no longer participate in an industry that causes so much death and suffering.
Thank you very much for this video that is really important for the vegan movement. I love The Vegan Vue channel you are the best girls !!! Keep doing this amazing job, the planet and the animals will thank you for this ! Lots of love to you 💞
With all these flaky "ex-vegans" pasting their boring nonsense everywhere, this was a great breath of fresh air. So glad to have you and your man with us all in this respectful, beautiful, healthy lifestyle. No one should believe the lies coming from betrayers intent only on soothing their underdeveloped consciences. And yet they do believe them, for a while anyways. Keep on spreading truth, you do it really well. And I love that you're dog rescuers too.
I am so happy that people are making this kind of videos now, when big names of veganism are quitting without any good reason. Thank you so much! BTW You look amazing!
Thank you for making this video 🙏🏽 I almost cried few time I was vegan for health in 2013 and thought only about health but after 6 or so months of not eating animal products i became an ethical vegan, i started feeling for them though i never cared before And am so happy everytime I remember how i was Its the best decision i ever made
I think Meat can cause digestive issues too not just dairy. I thought I had Celiac Diesese too was tested don't have it. I think for me its dairy and certain meats. When I am doing plant based my issues seems to do better. My mom told me if I seen how they made meet back in her days. I would of been Vegan. I'm not vegan. Cause I do still eat chicken or fish and cheese of course. So about 2-3 days a week. I have that stuff. Would love to go full plant based someday. I also am Vitamin Deficiancy. I'm for sure was from digestive issues. From meat and dairy. More I'm away from meat. The more I don't want it. :) Great video. I had a Hygenist tell me that teeth issues can be caused by your stmach too. I'm like what. I didn't know that.
Hannah, thank you for such a heartfelt message! When you talk about the suffering of animals you emote such real heartbreak and when you talk about being vegan you get a smile and sparkle in your eyes. You are genuine, loving and intelligent. Thank you so much for being an advocate for animals and the environment.
I love this Video, so, Glad you are Vegan, I am a 7 year, Vegan Lady, you are the Next Generation, so, Proud of You for Spreading the Vegan, News, love, Diana Lipski 💕
Your description of your pathway to veganism was very honest, and so touching. When you relived that first true understanding about what carnism means for the victims, it was clear that your ethics are incredibly strong, and now well informed. Good on both of you for putting your conscience into real daily actions.
Good Hannah even though I still eat eggs for some protein I need. I was a vegetarian for over 30 years and have been mainly vegan For over 4 years, I admire all the people that have moved to a vegan diet for humanitarian reasons. Your contribution for the vegan view is wonderful, spreading the reasons for a more healthy diet and giving people many options on vegan choices. Keep up the good work, many blessings for you and your friends. J.
Yes, yes, YESSSSSS! You are right. It feels so rewarding to be eating healthy foods, and foods that came from a tree or the ground or a bush, etc. Rather than foods that came from a creature that can recognize themselves in the mirror (I know that pigs can, but I’m not sure about other animals). But yeah. I feel so proud that I’m eating yummy foods that don’t harm the environment as much as the foods I used to eat.
This is one of the best vegan videos out there. Made me tear up when you started talking about the factory farming stuff, you’re such a positive influence in the vegan community ❤️
Watched the videos ofall you # girlsand i was crying my eyes out ... felt proud that i am a vegan too and i am compassionate and thanks to you all for doing this. Love 💚💚💚💚💕
I felt (& still do) instant happiness when I started my transition. (I don't want to cry. 😘) I NOW too enjoy looking at my cart when I grocery shop. Thanks for sharing! 💜 Donna
Thank you so much for sharing your story,it is wonderful. I love how you pointed out that just because we have done something for a long time, doesn't mean it's a good thing. And there is definitely a link between sexism and speciesism! Your puppers are so sweet and beautiful 😍 BTW I wasn't wearing my glasses when this video came up and I thought it said "Why I'm still a virgin"☺️😉😳
Just found you over on suggested videos. Love this, girl!! And thank you so much for sharing-it's such an important message! New subscriber here and going to check out your Vegan View Girls💕
Good to see more of these types of video. I look forward to the day when this online battle that carnists are waging against vegans is over. The comments section can be so ridiculously aggressive. I also look forward to our language reflecting a more equitable world, where 'it' isn't used so much for animals, and instead 'they', 'she', 'he' is said automatically.( I also look forward to all the male terms that are over used for everyone/everything losing popularity, completely sick of being called "guys/bro/dude" etc.). Language reflects and shapes our world, and it surprises me how old fashioned we actually still are.
My husband and I have been vegan for 8 months and our health has improved significantly. We couldn’t believe the difference of how we felt after meals. I say that my “stomach is happy” after meals instead of feeling tired and crappy. I was vegetarian for years before we went vegan because of the ethical aspect, I convinced myself that dairy was okay and ethical. That couldn’t be further from the truth. We’ll never look back! ❤️
THIS is what people should watch to understand veganism and what it truly means. Thank you for putting genuine love and positivity out into the world, especially during this time when many influencers are turning their backs on animals and the planet. So much love 💖🐮
CRYIN MY DANG EYES OUT 😭😭😭 You inspire me so much Hannah! Love you and I’m SO proud of you 💚💚💚💚
NikkiVegan You guys have such a beautiful friendship!!

I fell off the band wagon, but am working to get back on track, it’s something that I constantly fight to achieve.

Ever!
I watched all your three videos. They all beautiful in their own way. I am also vegan for the animals!
Thank you
You are a lovely human. I can tell you will always be vegan
You are so strong! Thank you for sharing your story ❤️
Way to go! 😎❤️
New subscriber! Thanks for making this video!!
Thank you!! Welcome! 💗
you are so bright and lovely! I don't really watch makeup or beauty videos anymore, I feel like it's focused too much on advertising and consumerism. But I always appreciate the vegan and cruelty free community because it advocates more responsible consumerism in this imperfect world. thank you for telling us your story!!
Really powerful video! When I look at my food, I like knowing it's life, not death.
Exactly!!! 💗
You are such a rockstar! Love you!!
Thank you very much for this video that is really important for the vegan movement. I love The Vegan Vue channel you are the best girls !!! Keep doing this amazing job, the planet and the animals will thank you for this ! Lots of love to you 💞
That made me cry! So inspiring💜💜 keep doing what you’re doing, girl! You’re doing it well💋💋💋
you are a baller!!!! so happy your voice is part of this community!
This was so beautiful! Thank you for being you ♡
Awwww Hannah you have a heart of gold, thnx for sharing 💕❤️
Ug. Factory farms are a heartbreaking hell on earth. Thanks for this video! I’m still vegan after 20 years for the same reasons you are! 🌱❤️🌱❤️
I am so happy that people are making this kind of videos now, when big names of veganism are quitting without any good reason. Thank you so much! BTW You look amazing!
Thank you for making this video 🙏🏽 I almost cried few time
I was vegan for health in 2013 and thought only about health but after 6 or so months of not eating animal products i became an ethical vegan, i started feeling for them though i never cared before
And am so happy everytime I remember how i was
Its the best decision i ever made
I think Meat can cause digestive issues too not just dairy.
This video was so beautiful! It is so cool to hear about your journey and to see your passion. Love it!!!
Where is this shirt from?! 😍

Hi Hannah, I LOVE this video. Your story is so touching and inspiring ❤️ Thank you for sharing with everyone!
Beautiful!! I cried!
Thank you for telling your story! Vegan4life💚✌🏽
Hannah, thank you for such a heartfelt message! When you talk about the suffering of animals you emote such real heartbreak and when you talk about being vegan you get a smile and sparkle in your eyes. You are genuine, loving and intelligent. Thank you so much for being an advocate for animals and the environment.
Thank you so much for your story and your voice. So much respect to you.
I love this Video, so, Glad you are Vegan, I am a 7 year, Vegan Lady, you are the Next Generation, so, Proud of You for Spreading the Vegan, News, love, Diana Lipski 💕
Hannah, I loved this video. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us 💖
I totally was not expecting to cry in this video but I am crying with you. New Sub!
Still vegan now and for [all] life.
Thank you, and welcome! 💗 vegan for life too! 🙌🏻
Your description of your pathway to veganism was very honest, and so touching. When you relived that first true understanding about what carnism means for the victims, it was clear that your ethics are incredibly strong, and now well informed. Good on both of you for putting your conscience into real daily actions.
Thank you 💗
Good Hannah even though I still eat eggs for some protein I need. I was a vegetarian for over 30 years and have been mainly vegan
For over 4 years, I admire all the people that have moved to a vegan diet for humanitarian reasons.
Thanks for sharing your story :) sounds like it was quite a journey for you. Inspiring to see where you are at now..and I feel the same :)
Your puppers are so sweet and beautiful 😍
BTW I wasn't wearing my glasses when this video came up and I thought it said "Why I'm still a virgin"☺️😉😳
Thank you for sharing! This is so needed in the community right now!
What a wonderful spokesperson you are for the movement! Thank you for telling your story.
Thank you so much for this video!!! I'm crying, becoming vegan is the best decision I've ever made :) Thanks for sharing your story

You are so sweet and real! Thank you for sharing your story! I cried with you!
I loved hearing your story! So eloquently put 💕
I LOVE THIS!!! Exactly how I feel as well. Great video ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
THIS is what people should watch to understand veganism and what it truly means. Thank you for putting genuine love and positivity out into the world, especially during this time when many influencers are turning their backs on animals and the planet. So much love 💖🐮
You are such a kind person. Amazing video. You said everything I wished I could say!
Thank you for making this video!!
