This is great, it really helps to know what to expect from Aupair experience in Paris. Oh gosh, I'm 25 and I wait fingers crossed that borders will reopen soon for my country so I can find a host family in Paris and visit all the museums for free :D
Thank you so much for your lovely comments! If you want to know more about the future of Au Pairing in France, and how it will look like in the near future due to COVID-19, we did a video on that! You can check it out here: th-cam.com/video/YQLrRzL-tHY/w-d-xo.html
@@aupairohparis6083 I checked out the video, and I will come to Paris from Armenia, I already asked our Embassy, they are not issuing AuPair visas yet, so I'm just waiting pandemic to end or news from Embassy.
@@leminasyan I'm sure it must be a little frustrating but the wait will be worth it, I promise! If you want to catch up with us or our community follow us on Instagram @aupairohparis and join our Facebook AU PAIR OH PARIS OPEN FORUM. :D
Thank you for this Video! People really romanticize Paris which Kind of annoys me, like in Emily in paris. I love living in paris (currently an AuPair here), but it is also really hard
Loved this video, I've been an au pair in Paris for just over a month now and your videos are really what got me through the entire process and this one speaks the truth! All my friends from home have this romanticised idea of what my life in Paris is like but in real life it is so hard and they can't really understand that whereas my friends I've made here all get how much work being an au pair is because we all go through the same stuff and have the same problems
Love this! Just a question - if you are becoming an au pair for the first time, how essential is it to have previous childcare experience and if you do have experience, how will this increase your chances of finding a host family?
If you have extensive childcare experience, it will probably be easier for you to find a host family. Also, some countries require you to have at least 200 hours of childcare experience to apply for their Au Pair programs, so check that first!
I'm an au pair in Paris right now and when I moved here I had no childcare experience at all! I think the important thing is being honest about it because lying about what you have done only harms you in the long run because you don't want to overwhelm yourself, there will be a family out there that is right for you just keep looking!
Thanks so much for watching!! Looking for a host family? Go through our partner and sponsor agency www.aupairbutrfly.com/ !
