I absolutely loved it, but I was a little disappointed when the track finally came out. When he performed it live in Birmingham, it was just... idk... angry? He performed it aggressively, like he was really bitter about the subject matter and it was just a totally different experience and I really liked it....
That’s because it’s a stem. It’s almost like how a harmony would be in the sense that it’s a separate vocal that’s apart from the lead vocals. Most singers don’t sing their stems, they’ll either do them like this where they just sing the live vocal, or sometimes they’ll leave it to backing singers or have the studio version’s stems inserted into the live.
