I’m totally new to the sport of hockey and being from Nebraska we have zero professional teams at all. The redwings are so fun to watch I’m definitely tuning in more often👏🏼 what a game Detroit💪🏼
I'm not as good at deciding a head coaches' impact in hockey like I would in football, but I do get the sense Lalonde is making a difference playing this roster above it's weight. Feels like the team is well coached for systems, and so far in year 2 any time we have a bad period adjustments are made to turn the game around
When you play only 11 forwards, that must take good coaching to keep the lines rolling effectively. Bowman was a master at that but just about everyone of his top 9 was would be Hall of Famers. Can't be easy to mix the lines with this group@@b1ackm4gic

Some of us knew. This is what having a LOT of two way actual full roster of NHL caliber players will do for a team in the salary cap era. Toronto, edmonton have playoff issues because they field a lot of should be AHL bottom six and D men. Yzerman knew exactly what he was doing making sure everyone was a legit NHL'er bottom 6 or D Man. Theres not a single fringe player on this new roster.
Thanks to the Ottawa Senators for being the final straw in the Wings' playoff hopes last season. It was after the sweep at the end of last season that convinced Yzerman that he needed more than kids playing for the Wings. The nine NHL-ready additions he brought in this season have the Wings finally worth watching again.

Detroit got it Ottawa did not. The entire team was especially bad. The officiating was bad, really bad but Detroit had some week calls on them as well. Detroit performed… Ottawa choked.
