Smart move on the ACC to work out unequal tv revenue sharing with FSU and CU. Even if the conference gets $100 million after settlement, that's not enough to make up for the lost ratings which would tank the conference's value well beyond $100 million.
The conference can survive through 2030 and *hopefully* have a plan by then - maybe merge with the Big 12 or poach some new teams for the big power realignment on the horizon.

It’s a temporary bandaid and isn’t conducive to any long term recovery.

Want more money? Win games. ACC needs fans in stadiums and for the ACC to win OOC games. VT losing to Vandy takes the shine off of Cal’s win over Auburn or Miami’s domination of Florida. Clemson got demolished by UGA and needs to rebound. BC lost a heartbreaker but can beat MSU. VT needs to beat Rutgers. Watching uva lose to Maryland is bad but seeing the sky cam showing the upper decks empty is embarrassing. Is this collective group can’t put quality product on the field and sell tickets, then no money is coming. This goes for you too FSU. The “chop” isn’t effective or intimidating when 60% of the stadium is empty!

I don't see how this satisfies them. Win to get more or depend on fickle fan interest to get more? Does Vanderbilt or Rutgers or Northwestern need to win to get their huge paycheck? Or boost their tv ratings? Nope. They get it by virtue of just existing in their privileged conference. There is the 'haves and have nots'. I don't see how becoming one of the 'might haves' is enough.
