I really enjoyed watching this video! My my very handsome guy with that gorgeous hair! I don’t mean the dog. I didn’t quite get his name. You and yours have a great weekend.
I love your videos and your website is so helpful. I am planning to get a mongrel puppy soon, but we are still looking for help everywhere about all types of dogs and how to take care of them! How many dogs do you have?
No, not at all. For any puppies that stay with us past 10 weeks, we train them right away to walk on lead, and then take them for walks to help with socialization.
Substitute. Have a treat handy, and when he bites the lead, offer the treat, and be sure to give lots of praise when he lets go of the lead and takes the treat.
He gets really exited when we go to this particular spot and keeps pulling I turn in the other direction and reward him when he walks they way I want him to and allow, him to go in the direction only when he doesn’t pull but nothing is working he continues to pull and eventually I give up and I have to pick him up and then walk on.
Treats tend to be different than regular dog food, in that they're tastier but usually also less healthy, so not good in large quantities. Some dogs will treat regular food as treats, but most will be more motivated for treats than for regular food. A treat is any kind of food your dog really likes.
I like to use Cheerios cereal as a training treat. One little piece has very few calories, the ingredients are good, and dogs love the crunch when they eat one.
It may be a little to late, but I'm not an expert trainer so what do I know. But, What I do now is that if she pulls you, so Call her name & turn around so whenever she pulls, just repeat it & eventually ( maybe) she'll learn to stop pulling.

Thank you for all of your puppy training and care videos!
Thank you. I appreciate how your puppy has never experienced the walk before, which helps us viewers understand the body language a lot better.
I remember using Cheerios many years ago when treating my puppy Gracie. She was a beautiful joy to have had in my life.🐶♥️

Are treats same as dog food? Or they are some special type that you can only use them for training and give small amount of food?
